Spacious, yet cozy. Massive areas, all put to comfort. Clever "at hand" layouts. A nautical flavor with the elegance of a five star penthouse. Boat folks designed, built and fitted out this yacht - I'd bet my barnacles on it. What a treat. Thanks ever so to Extra Yachts and thank you Nick for the fun tour.
This is a really nice boat, and while being maritime in its theme, unlike say Princess, you don't get a feeling that you have to be 75+ years old and a member of an over-starched British yacht club to fit with your boat. People say the Princess X95 is a game changer, this 96 Triplex is in a completely different league, and is way better laid out. A very impressive boat. A truly impressive floor plan.
Finally a yacht that's so different. The design is magnificent So beautiful. My new favorite. The galley and dining room is a great change. Thank you Nick.
There it is! My lottery yacht! Not too long, plenty of beam, good range, AMAZING accommodations , and enough levels to get in some exercise while cruising the Caribbean sea! I really love the details and craftsmanship of the woodwork. The rounded corners are so classy and elegant. I appreciate the nice crew area and en suites all around, and there's just something about having IPS on a boat that almost 100' that makes me smile. Fantastic tour of a fantastic boat, Nick!
That’s odd. That’s the first time I have heard a squeaky floor in a new very large yacht. In the crew quarter the floor was creaking pretty good while walking. I wonder how loud and obnoxious that would be underway?? Beautiful vessel design for sure.
Noticed that too. That was one hell of a creaky area. I know that sometimes happen when they do a cheap straight fibreglass floor. I'd ask them to fix it and install a nicer floor, because nobody will get any sleep down there when the weather is a bit spicy. A happy crew is a good crew.
Interesting boat with massive amounts of space and an innovative layout. I love the second deck gallery and dining area, so different. The range was disappointing however, I would have thought a yacht of this caliber and size would have a much larger range, say 3000+. Nick your skills in displaying a yacht to its maximum potential is unmatched and I look forward to every tour you produce. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Why do you want a 3000+ NM range and take up real estate with a massive fuel tank like that? This is not a boat you use for an Atlantic crossing or exploration in Antarctica. With its 2000 NM range, it can do anything you want it to do, and anything it is capable of. It is very capable for sure, but it was never meant or designed to be out where you don't see land for two weeks. If that is what you are after in a boat of less than 24 meters and less than 200 mT displacement, you need a steel explore style yacht like a Bering B82 for example. But then you give up a lot of other amenities and practical features. Can I in earnest ask if you boat and own a yacht? I ask because I'm a bit curious as to what makes you think this needs the added range? Usually when I come across people who think this kind of boat is a "big" ocean going vessel, they tend to not actually be boaters themselves.
@@AB-80X I do own a boat (a Matthews 56 Explorer from the 70's) and its short range (400nm on a good day) really limits us on were we can go without worries. Several yachts in this price range offer better range and if I'm spending that amount of money I would like to be able cross the Atlantic without babysitting the fuel tanks.
@@MoultrieGeek You say several, so please tell me which yachts in this price range with the same amenities and contemporary design, offers the range and capabilities you talk about? Please tell me what kind of boat you know of, which has a 5000+ NM range at cruising speed that is capable of doing an Atlantic crossing? Also, have you any idea about what it means to cross the Atlantic in a sub 24 meter and sub 200 mT boat? I've done it on a 75 meter yacht, which was fine, but when you are out there 2000 NM from the nearest coast and the swells get 15-25 feet or more, there are very few boats in that size that can do what you ask. Range is no the same as capability. The Bering 88 for example, is below 24 meters, but it is too heavy, so it is classified as a commercial vessel. And the few boats below 24 meters which can make that crossing, will give up a lot of amenities and creature comfort in order to do what you want it to do. When I did that crossing with my friend on his boat, it was a 16 day journey, and even for a boat of that size, it was not for the faint at heart. You can't rely on the Atlantic ocean to play nice. We had 65+ mph winds for example. Again like I said, range is one thing, being capable is another. Next to nobody on a yacht, will actually want to do an Atlantic crossing. Some do it in sailing boats, but then the point is rarely to get somewhere. Then the point is typically to do that crossing, and to be able to say you did it. And they rarely do it again. I don't think you quite know what it is that you are asking. So please tell me why a 2000 NM range is a problem? You can get to just about anywhere outside of that crossing. 2000 NM is a lot fro a boat of that size.
Such a gorgeous boat. Love the curves and layout. I think we've found 1 of my favorite owner's suite, top 3 for sure. A passerelle, transformer and high/low platform, yes, please. Great crew quarters, my soft spot showing. You need to rethink the name for that flat cooking device. I'd stick with griddle, but I think you meant to say TEPPENYAKI. The word you used is, effectively, a French swear word. I loved it, but probably not what you meant to say. Brilliant tour, as always. Thanks for bringing this beautiful boat to us.
The layout is much improved over the more traditional yachts, more functional and efficient. The tour was great without any fluff or chit chat. Let me get the 10.9 together and I'll give you a call.
Absolutely fabulous boat, engine room a delight, love the triple engine setup, providing the control gear is triple would provide a huge amount of redundancy, as ever Nick another great video, your definitely the best guide out there in RUclips land.
Loved it. Your tours always seem to follow a natural progression through the boat. I suppose when you've done as many tours on as many yachts as you have it becomes second nature.
After a few years of doing this you still have that charm that made me subscribe. I like the calm explainations and sense of subtlety, especially in comparison to most of the other boating related channels who come off as a pushy infomercial. Nick, another great walk through. What an impressive yacht for its size, it packs so much in with a clever design. So functional, beautiful and pleasing, no space wasted, just everything you need.
