    Oil supplements are not needed. The motor oil alone from the bottle is the way to go. Mobil 1 proved this.

    You are not to run engines without oil! This is a marketing vid. A true test would be long term and a oil analisis and tear down and wear jus saying

    I ordered some 2 weeks ago. My old 1990 gmc truck started to burn oil after that 300k mark an sitting as i was driving my winter/ mud toy. Started to burn oil. So naturally i tried everything the auto parts stores had. None of them worked. I ordered some prolube an lets just say its burning clean with some improvement on cold starting power and mpgs. I knew the rings were stuck. I always do oil changes every 2,500 miles no matter what. Being a mechanic by trade. I can easily do a in frame rebuild. But as most mechanics we are to tired to do things like that to our vehicles. So prolube for the win. I'll definitely buy more. An probably buy the 55 gallon drum for the fleet vehicle an equipment

    This comparison was the best one yet hats off. Only question is why have a minimum and a maximum ratio if it takes the max to get these results?

    • @ProlubeOil
      @ProlubeOil  4 месяца назад +2

      We have different treatment ratios depending on the mileage and condition of the motor. The 1 oz per quart treatment ratio is our original treatment ratio for newer motors. Our 2-3 oz per quart treatment ratio is for heavy duty, high-mileage, and racing motors. Hope this makes sense! 🏁

  • @dham99
    @dham99 2 месяца назад +2

    So this was a cool and fair test..however... what I'd like to see is the exact same test, run 3 different times. I've never been one to believe a single test. To be fair, that time they each lasted was significant for Prolube, and even Mobil1 by itself. What does that say about the additives? Either a fluke, or Mystery and Lucas are WORSE for your engine than standard oil by itself. Hence, running the same test at least 3 times. if you got the exact same results, it'd be pretty concrete at that point! Def looking good for Prolube!

    • @ngoti8tor
      @ngoti8tor Месяц назад

      They ran the Lucas Oil engine without any oil for 12 hours, instead of the 3 hours that they ran the Prolube engine. Just didn't show that part on camera.

  • @ampedupelectronics

    The test conditions here are pretty lame. It would have been better to run the engines for a day then check compression and cylinder heads/valves of each one. Then run each one of the oil additive mixtures to see if they do what they say. Most of them claim to clean and increase compression. Keep in mind modern oils already have detergents and depending on which ones you get are long life high temp. BMW and other german cars recommend only long life "EURO CAR" blends because they have higher specifications. Whenever possible use a "EURO car" formula in your 4 strokes as they are much better oils with better high temp wear. They are designed for twin turbo engines.

    No ...10% prolube for that 16oz capacity would be 1.6 ounces of prolube. The back of prolube can says nothing about 10%..it says 1 ounce per quart... For heavily when engines add an additional ounce... Which I assume means 2 ounces per quart..that would make your amount of prolube for a 16oz oil capacity engine at 1 ounce prolube for that 1/2 quart engine. Think you better change directions on can

    First thing I noticed was that using Mobile 1 synthetic oil for break-in is a NO NO! Usings synthetics on a new motor will take much longer for bearing/rings to bed in, if at all! And 2nd, Lucas also makes a synthetic oil additive. Why didn't you use that instead, since the other additives were synthetic? Just saying!!!

    The next time I'm thinking of running my engine withut any oil, I'll make sure I add some Prolube before hand. Not that this video is biased or anything, but Lucas Oil Stabilizer is the best. It has been proven in many videos that were unbiased. I like how you Prolube guys ran the Lucas Oil engine without any oil for 12 hours, instead of the 3 hours that you ran the Prolube engine.

    • @garrethfloyd8716

      So you keep saying the test was rigged, and that they ran the Lucas engine without oil for 12 hours but didn't film it, can you please let everyone know how you determined that. Do you have any prof of this claim, or do you own stock in Lucas...

  • @ampedupelectronics

    a thicker viscosity oil is probably the reason the prolube won but this channel is prolube so its biased test.
