I remember seeing a similar test using Conklin synthetic back in the '80's. It was a damn good lubricant. Had a friend who's ¼ mile oval dirt track car had a Conklin sponsorship. The last race of the year, all he had to do was finish the race to win the championship. About 10 laps into the 30 lap main, a rod started knocking. He pitted & we all listened... spun bearing was the problem. Somebody said, Run it, let's see how good that Conklin stuff is. So, he did. He brought the engine to my shop to tear down, after he limped thru the race. The rod bearing was completely destroyed; paper thin & in multiple pieces in the pan. The rod was still bolted to the crank journal & was a bit tough to get the cap off, but the mind blowing thing was the condition of the crank journal. A new rod & bearing & it would run for years; not raced, but the journal had NO marks on it & mic'd out perfectly round & to spec. I switched to Conklin in all my hot rods & ran it until they went out of biz.
My grandfather was a Bardahl rep back in the 60's after getting the shaft from Studebaker. He had a machine very similar to that one that he would use to prove that Bardahl was a better additive than any of the others out there. Think (STP) I would go with him to the various 4H fairs in the area and watch him draw a crowd....
Wynns came out & did a test in our shop with the same machine, just had a torque wrench on the load arm. The result was the same as this test. I used the friction modifier it in my 3.8 Buick V6 but honestly didn't see any change in economy or power.
The one that didn’t slide off the engine cover it was sitting on the raised 5.7 semi. Got to compare apples to apples and orange to oranges. Test is inconclusive.

Is it 1oz per quart or 2oz? Only asking because the site said 2oz per quart. I definitely wanna try it out!
