Very inspirational, thanks for sharing Amanda. Barbie is terrific, and I'll continue to follow. I'm ten months in, and have had difficulty stalling my cravings, Red Vines, and my low-fat ice cream. I do a RBS once a day. My cravings come in after I eat my salad. I crunch ice cubes and try to distract myself as much as possible, so I have never gotten in the car to drive up to the store. I do, however, have a lil silent temper tantrum (silent as I don't want to scare my pups, even though they absolutely know that I'm so depressed). Thank you, Amanda, I've never thought of quitting, as I have indeed, lost 30 lbs.and want to continue to help my health and look attractive in my fourth quarter. My friend calls this age "Top of the Ninth"!

I really like your emphasis on diet and not exercise. Strenuous exercise can cause a person to overeat - because they feel hungry after their workout and perhaps then justified in having a large meal and ingesting way more calories than they would have burned in even the most vigorous exercise routine. Just going for a walk is best - so calming.

Thanks... True... But for now I am hardly exercising but a good tip to focus on diet and eat very low carb and ad some fat

That is EXACTLY my personal issue with exercise. It's one of my main rules -- I don't eat after and I don't do much (if any) advance fueling. I still have plenty of fat stores. No one around here i worried about me burning some off on a hiking trail. In fact, I need to go do that right now...

Ellen asked about the skin and sounded like she wished she had it, and I think she's stunning. Your skin and face is gorgeous, you don't have anything to worry about! All of you are lovely! Thanks Barbie, this is so encouraging.

I was not heavy my entire life. I was not heavy until I had my first child at 20 and was trying to lose the baby weight. I was never the same after and I had two other kids after that, and it just got worse and worse. Now I'm in menopause and can't lose weight.

Omad dat 4 today, so hungry... Does this get better?

    • @jansmith3158

      1) Have you been fasting prior to going to OMAD? If not, you might want to try just 2 meals a day with a snack...then take away the snack the next week then move to OMAD a week or few weeks later. Ease into OMAD VS going right into OMAD. Try fasting first for say 12 hours for a few days/week...then try 17 hours, then move up to 18 to 23 hours (OMAD). See yt Dr Mindy pelz yt vid "7 fasting methods". OMAD is very very hard if you jump right into it the first time fasting. Be kind to your body and slowly ease into fasting. Fasting is hard on the body. OMAD is very shocking to the body if you just jump into it.
      2) Are you eating Keto or carnivore diet? if so increase the fat (3-4 tablespoons of healthy fat a day: butter, 1/2 avacado, olive oil on a salad healthy fat only) if you are hungry. Fat keeps you from becoming hungry and stops food cravings. In Dr Atkins original 1972 book he recommends 3- 4 tablespoons of fat to fuel the body & keep hunger at bay. If keto or carnviore make sure you are eating meat 4-6 oz each meal and OMAD you will need to eat more meat & calaries to get all your food into one meal to keep you full. Dr Mindy Pelz recommend if you are hungry during fasting to eat a little healthy fat example 1/2 avacado to push you thru to keep fasting see her vids on this. She also, recommends 1 oz of protein to push thur. These are her fasting tricks to extend the fast..
      3) Do a parasite cleanse. Dr Group (yt ch) states that 90% of US citizens have parasites and this could be your reason why you are hungry if you have been doing fasting for a long period. look up "Parasite cleanse" yt ch vids Dr Berg, Dr Axe, Candida Eric bakker naturopath, Dr Hilda Clark, Road to perfect health. Parasites could be candida (fungus), Worms, h pylori and other microscopic parasite. Over eating is a sign of parasite issues.
      4) Drinking water with electrolytes is a must when fasting. You can buy the electrolytes packets OR just take magnesium & potassium at night before bed then during the day add a good sea salt or Himalayan salt to water (see dr berg's yt vids 1 1/2 teaspoon per day of salt to water...this will also help to keep you from being hungry.
      5) See dr berg's vids of Mothers's Apple cider vinegar added to water to keep hunger at bay and keep the stomach acid in the proper range.
Best of luck to you. take care.
