    Thanks for the upload. I don't know if this is my problem or not but it's off to the races. Thanks again.

    Thanks for showing us how well that socket works when that bolt is on too tight!❤

    FYI: To remove crank shaft pulley bolt Go to Harbor freight buy a $20 extendable ratchet normal ratchet will work also 19mm socket... Wedge ratchet Crank engine over use starter motor power against crank shaft pulley 🔩 bolt... works like a charm...

      Just want to say thanks man cause I was out of luck and I remembered this comment and did exactly that and it got loose first crank 😂

      The easiest method is still to buy the high-mass 19mm impact socket and throw that on a high-torque impact driver. Comes right off.

    Thanks for the overview of crankshaft position sensor. You are right there are not many, if any vids out there. All as I suspected, but it is always good to know there are no surprises waiting.

    Good video bro. Just purchased a 2013 MDX for wife recently, is the v6 in this video apply to our 2013 MDX 3.7L?

    I just pulled a harmonic balancer from a 05 Tl that required roughly 300ft lbs to remove, why would the heavy socket help more than a normal one?

    Hi! I want to ask you: What type of crankshaft position sensor does the Honda Acura MDX 2007 use? Thanks

    when replacing the crankshaft sensor, do i need to put everything back to tdc or will it automatically relearn if the timing belt is still good?

  • @madetohelpyou
    @madetohelpyou Год назад

    Good job but remember lots of folks dont understand how to set timing etc. Is the motor an interference meaning if not set right the valves will bend or non interference so if timing not set correctly the car may not start or it will run rough. But otherwise good info for starters on how to remove the cover/pulley

    I got a 2004 Honda accord coupe v6 6 speed, i was wondering what brand crank shaft position sensor should I buy? and do I have to make the car relearn the sensor?

      I highly recommend the Standard brand or SMP cheapest from EBay avoid the stealership 🤔💯

      I have a 06 rl and my crank sensor a & b are smoked! Any location on that? Also fOR the RL you have to relearn it. I’d assume it’d be the same for the accord.

    Question guys, I’ve been working on timing belt kit for the past 3 days and it’s a lil bit rainy this week. Should I be worried about the sensor getting wet and going bad? The car is on stands with the passenger wheel off, and I’ve had the sensor cover off

    • @shiloh5199
      @shiloh5199 Год назад

      No, water won't kill, just dry off or spray some QD electrical cleaner and that will clean/dry itself.

    Hi is this the only crankshaft sensor on v6 engines ? I’m getting a P0389 code on my 03 Honda Accord V6 but it’s saying crankshaft position sensor B Circuit intermittent .

    • @CarsNToys
      @CarsNToys  Год назад +2

      Yes, the only one. Sensor A and sensor B are incorporated in to the one sensor.

    • @rosieclark3661
      @rosieclark3661 Год назад +1

      Intermittent means on the verge of complete failure soon or later potentially to get you stranded

    Was the check engine light on? If not, do you recommend replacing the crankshaft position sensor (and/or the o-ring) regardless when the timing belt is done?

      Check engine light was not on. I just wanted to show where the senso is located since I was replacing the timing belt. I didnt replace it.

      2011 mdx is much easier, it is right between the tranny and motor covered by a bracket with two 10 mm’s. You don't need to take off anything except Jack the car up.
