Great Job LLA Team. I am one of those employee who were in immense mental pressure and faced mental harrasment when I decided to move out of an IT company because of unmatched job profile to my skills.
I had missed a section from employment agreement where this employment bond of 18 months were mentioned which included recovery for my training, hiring expenses, brokerage cost to hiring firm. relocation and accommodation cost. I had been asked to pay 11 Lakhs of recovery amount out of which 10 Lakhs was of technical training which never received. I have faced legal notices and sleepless night because of those notice. I got 3 notice from different different lawyer. Infact, one notice from Delhi High Court lawer. This has happened to many employees after I left and they were asked to pay even huge amount than me.
I still get nightmares when I remember those day. I was very nervous while watching this video. Its been 1 year since I left that company and as per info from video, I could be in problem in next 2 year if that employer decide to take any action. I had served notice period of 1 month as I was in probation period but they increased my noticed period by mentioning that I was already on customer project. They did not released my salary. I had no option other than to abscond and start over again. Recently, I had this dream, where I was crying like anything while explaining my situation to some legal authority. I hope to find my peace. I wish someone never have to come across such situation.
I am so afraid that I still can't mention the name of organisations here. But I have so many names who will witness and will cry out same story of harrasment.

I also have signed an employment bond of 2 years and 1.5, I've served for 10 months. The salary is very low. It is very hard to bear expenses of my family. I am giving a lot of efforts for my job but still it is not well recognized. Now I want to leave the job and even I got good offers from other companies as well but the current company people are calling me daily and saying that you can't leave the company like this. You have to complete 2 years bond otherwise pay 1.5 lakhs. I was on trainee designation for 6 months but there is no dedicated training provided by the company. I was straight set to work on projects.

Great initiative by LLA, we are not just sufferring from brain drain and low employment but also these practices which force freshers to work at dirt cheap rates. When I first started my carrer I also joined one such MNC which is a huge telcom company but thier Indian subsidary was following such practice. I left in 6 months and I refused to pay bond as a result they cut my last month salary and Leaves Payments. Then for almost 2 years I got some call from a Lawyer and some notice on mail to pay. I refused every time and stuck to the ground. Then in my second company one of India's bigget IT mass recruiter they also had bond but this time I left just after my bond period ended. Keep up the Good Work LLA ❤. Thanks to you Indian employees are able to get justice and know their rights 😀

On a lighter note, the possibility of an OTT series in collaboration with TVF or other such highly competent teams would reach even bigger audience. Something in the lines of SUITS will be a great hit, with the tag line (this time actually true) 'Based on real events and experiences of the Janta'. as an employer, i never do these types of shady things with my employees, they can leave as per their wish. but yes atleast they need to tell me this a month previously unless its an emergency. But if that employee after leaving wishes to come back, its not necessary that i will hire that person again as it directly impacts company when an employee leaves suddenly without giving notice. The Employees need to be more vigilant nowadays and they need to apply for jobs which are flexible. Always remember to check the linkedin about company, if these type of serious issues have happened it might be possible that employee has mentioned on social media.
Thanks LLA for educating all future candidates

Someone who have changed a bunch of companies, DO NOT sign any bond, and if they have one, let them know that you are not agreeing to it and will only sign it if it's a "REQUIREMENT".
If they admit it to be 'requirement', that places them in violation of contracts act and voids the bond/notice.
Also, companies are required to provide you "service certificate" so dont worry, you get to keep your experience

Being an individual who has signed a bond with a huge IT firm, this video is very informative to me. I was thinking that my company wasn’t being fair by signing bond with me, but after watching this video i can totally understand why they did it. The bond period is only 1 year and recovery charges are also reasonable considering the quality of training, assets and other expenses they have provided me. A total quality video. Keep it up sir.

I signed a two way bond with one of the chemical company of 4 years for 3 lakhs i.e. in case of completion of the bond company will pay me 3 lakhs or else if I breached the bond I have to pay 3 lakhs to company .I breached the bond after 2 years of service as there where safety issues in factory , it's almost 2 years I haven't got any notice from the companies end .But as I didn't do Full n final settlements I didn't get relieving/experience letter .But now at this point in life when as I am looking for a new opportunity company requires my past experience letters. If I have to get it I have to pay 3 lakhs .Is there any way for the middle ground me getting a relieving letter?????It would be great if I get your opinion.
