Nicely explained. In fact the name should be- frankly speaking Mandeep. But anyway, crucial information. If I had got such info 5 years back, I would have not regretted buying home loan insurance from HDFC ltd. Usually they provide home loan insurance for 5 years but charge a single premium which is definitely out of budget. So, they give you a loan and pay on your behalf. But, here is the catch. You have to pay EMI of that loan with your home loan EMI, ie. 20 or 25 years. Whereas, your home loan insurance lapse in 5th year. Moreover, they usually charge high interest rate (10.5% in my case) which is a personal loan interest rate. So, banks r playing scam games with their customers. So, beware of legal fraudsters. They r really not dudh ka dhula and it is customers duty to grab the catch and save their precious money. Thanks

Thanks for this informative video. Here are the Quick notes tp take away. Key Points to Ensure Before Buying Health Insurance for Better Customer Safety and Health Coverage 1. No Sublimits • Ensure that the policy does not impose any sub-limits on room rent, doctor fees, ICU charges, etc. This allows for comprehensive coverage without hidden restrictions. 2. No Room Rent Limit • The policy should cover all types of room rents, from general wards to private rooms, without any capping. This ensures flexibility in choosing hospital accommodation as per the patient’s preference. 3. No Waiting Period for Accidents • The insurance policy should provide immediate coverage for accidents without any waiting period. This is crucial for emergency situations where immediate medical attention is required. 4. Reasonable Waiting Period for Critical Illnesses • The policy should have a reasonable waiting period for critical illnesses, ensuring coverage starts as early as possible for these serious conditions. 5. Reasonable Waiting Period for Slow-Growing Diseases • Similar to critical illnesses, the policy should have a manageable waiting period for slow-growing diseases, providing timely coverage for long-term health conditions. 6. Restoration of Sum Insured • Ensure that the policy allows for at least one restoration of the sum insured during the policy year. However, it should not allow restoration for the same disease to prevent abuse of the benefit. 7. No Zonal Policies • The policy should be valid across India, providing Pan-India coverage. This ensures that the insured can avail medical services without geographic limitations. 8. Clear List of Exclusions • Obtain a clear and comprehensive list of exclusions. Ensure that the policy does not exclude hospitalizations that are medically necessary. This transparency helps in understanding the exact scope of coverage. 9. Cashless and Reimbursement Facilities • The insurance should offer cashless treatment at all hospitals, not just empanelled ones. Additionally, reimbursement options should be available for treatment at both network and non-network hospitals. 10. Daycare Procedures Covered • The policy should cover daycare procedures, which are treatments that do not require 24-hour hospitalization. This ensures coverage for advanced medical treatments that can be completed in a few hours. 11. No Claim Bonus • Ensure that the no-claim bonus does not get rolled back once it is used. This benefit should accumulate and provide additional coverage as a reward for not claiming in previous years. 12. Continuity After 60 Years • The policy should guarantee continuity of coverage after the insured reaches 60 years of age. This is crucial for senior citizens who need health insurance the most. 13. Super Top-Up and Top-Up Plans • Understand the difference between super top-up and top-up plans. Super top-up plans consider the cumulative medical expenses above the deductible limit in a year, whereas top-up plans consider a single claim above the deductible. Ensure that these plans provide additional coverage once the base policy coverage is exhausted.
As a banker I appreciate your work brother. Customer generally attract to the investment rather than health insurance. Now I feel good to sell a health insurance to the customer❤
Because people know that there will be some JHOL in the insurance, and they will not get the full claim amount and benefits. You may say that the customers should know everything before buying insurance. Huh 😏. Not just insurance, most of all Indian companies are highly neglecting customer service and satisfaction. People believe the words of the agents but agents are not providing all the information. So, people know that they won't get full insurance benefits, and they look for investment because they hope/know that the investment amount will not be denied by the companies and it will help to cover medical expenses. Many people are buying insurance not to get insured, but to get exemption in tax, because of the non-ethical pathetic service by the insurance agents and companies.

Thanks Mandeep! This video is really helpful. You have told us about day care treatment, recently I have came across one scenario like this. My uncle was working on iron cutting machines and accidentally some iron fillings get into his eyes, very deep. So we went to Ahmedabad’s best eye hospital, Ratina foundation. And trust me they don’t have any bed for overnight hospitalisation. They simply treat patients in day and discharge them in the evening. We have paid over 1.5laks on that same day operation. But thankfully we do have day care cover in our insurance. So the point of this story is, we think day care treatment will always be less like 10k or 20k but this is the clear case where it can cross more than 1.5laks😅 Thanks again for jagruking us❤️

1) Always check sub limits (ideally there should be no sub limits in your policy) 2) room rent cap (ideally there should be no room rent cap) 3) no co-pay 4) waiting period (are accidents allowed in this waiting period) 5) restoration period 6) all the diseases which are excluded (exclusions) 7) cashless + reimbursement should be available. And you can go to any hospital wether network or no network 8) daycare treatment should be there 9) free health checkup 10) will the no claim insurance roll back. 11) ayush treatment? 12) continuity 13) supper top up .

Great Content Mandeep Sir 🫡 I saw your previous video on Health insurance and have taken my first health insurance policy after detailed research. From this video I got to learn that we need to also investigate further and check the loop holes in the policy docs so that we don't have to cry 😭 later. Today I got to learn everything that is required to buy a health insurance policy and I will forward it further to my friends and family with this wealth of knowledge. Thanks 😊
My advice based on personal experience- *take a policy as soon as possible , *Disclose any pre existing illness , that even incudes findings in routine blood tests , only disclose those problems that you will be informing your doctor when admitted * do not expect much from insurance unless 4 years of policy is over, insurance companies are working for profit not for your well being , but it can be helpful only if you have one * always save money 3- 10 lakhs incrementally exclusively for health * better stay away from star health

• The policy should have a reasonable waiting period for critical illnesses, ensuring coverage starts as early as possible for these serious conditions.
5. Reasonable Waiting Period for Slow-Growing Diseases
• Similar to critical illnesses, the policy should have a manageable waiting period for slow-growing diseases, providing timely coverage for long-term health conditions.
6. Restoration of Sum Insured
• Ensure that the policy allows for at least one restoration of the sum insured during the policy year. However, it should not allow restoration for the same disease to prevent abuse of the benefit.
7. No Zonal Policies
• The policy should be valid across India, providing Pan-India coverage. This ensures that the insured can avail medical services without geographic limitations.
8. Clear List of Exclusions
• Obtain a clear and comprehensive list of exclusions. Ensure that the policy does not exclude hospitalizations that are medically necessary. This transparency helps in understanding the exact scope of coverage.
9. Cashless and Reimbursement Facilities
• The insurance should offer cashless treatment at all hospitals, not just empanelled ones. Additionally, reimbursement options should be available for treatment at both network and non-network hospitals.
10. Daycare Procedures Covered
• The policy should cover daycare procedures, which are treatments that do not require 24-hour hospitalization. This ensures coverage for advanced medical treatments that can be completed in a few hours.
11. No Claim Bonus
• Ensure that the no-claim bonus does not get rolled back once it is used. This benefit should accumulate and provide additional coverage as a reward for not claiming in previous years.
12. Continuity After 60 Years
• The policy should guarantee continuity of coverage after the insured reaches 60 years of age. This is crucial for senior citizens who need health insurance the most.
13. Super Top-Up and Top-Up Plans
• Understand the difference between super top-up and top-up plans. Super top-up plans consider the cumulative medical expenses above the deductible limit in a year, whereas top-up plans consider a single claim above the deductible. Ensure that these plans provide additional coverage once the base policy coverage is exhausted.
nefarious act between insurance companies and hospitals where consumer is grinded....gave me goosebumps I want to cry loud
Health insurance are biggest scams

Thanks Mandeep! This video is really helpful.
You have told us about day care treatment, recently I have came across one scenario like this. My uncle was working on iron cutting machines and accidentally some iron fillings get into his eyes, very deep.
So we went to Ahmedabad’s best eye hospital, Ratina foundation. And trust me they don’t have any bed for overnight hospitalisation. They simply treat patients in day and discharge them in the evening. We have paid over 1.5laks on that same day operation. But thankfully we do have day care cover in our insurance.
So the point of this story is, we think day care treatment will always be less like 10k or 20k but this is the clear case where it can cross more than 1.5laks😅
Thanks again for jagruking us❤️
Kya baat hai sir ji 🙏 Maine sab suna dekha video save Kiya aur leekh ke rakha hai, sab samajh me aaya, technical word's ko acchese samjhaya hai ! Thanks a lot 👍🙏

I've been diligently comparing health insurance options for a while, but I've been struggling to reach a final decision on the best choice. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to view your previous video on health insurance, and after watching this latest one, I finally feel confident enough to make an informed decision. The timing of this video release couldn't have been better for me. Thank you, Mandeep, and the entire LLA team. #JagrukJanta

1) Always check sub limits (ideally there should be no sub limits in your policy)

4) waiting period (are accidents allowed in this waiting period)
5) restoration period
6) all the diseases which are excluded (exclusions)
7) cashless + reimbursement should be available. And you can go to any hospital wether network or no network

1-sublimit error (diabetes will have 2 lakhs in 50 lakhs cover)-NO SL should be there

Great Content Mandeep Sir 🫡
I saw your previous video on Health insurance and have taken my first health insurance policy after detailed research. From this video I got to learn that we need to also investigate further and check the loop holes in the policy docs so that we don't have to cry 😭 later. Today I got to learn everything that is required to buy a health insurance policy and I will forward it further to my friends and family with this wealth of knowledge.
Thanks 😊
Which is the best in case of age 30
Thank God LLA is on our planet. You guys doing very good job. Your explanation are awesome 👍.
My advice based on personal experience- *take a policy as soon as possible ,
*Disclose any pre existing illness , that even incudes findings in routine blood tests , only disclose those problems that you will be informing your doctor when admitted
* do not expect much from insurance unless 4 years of policy is over, insurance companies are working for profit not for your well being , but it can be helpful only if you have one
* always save money 3- 10 lakhs incrementally exclusively for health
* better stay away from star health
which policy should we take?
Star health and care health both are fraud company
Thank you for creating this video. I hope your channel grows tenfold.
I am currently looking for health insurance and i have no idea what are the criterias to choose. This video helped me a lot. This is a gem of a channel . Thanks LLB
