Ah the joys of DCS ... My first plane ever was the A-10C .. haven't flown it in a while.. but im prety sure i still have the checklist for the cold and dark startup somewhere in my mind :D Was fun watching you struggle. I love these "blind" videos , cheers m8!
My First was also the mighty Hawg.... nothing more satisfying than learning how to deliver some honey-roast freedom with a side of Apple Pie to the BBQ venue in that monster. Getting my first War bird at the weekend while the sale is on, the legendary Spitfire.
I’ve been playing dcs for three years now and I could only ever fly this plane because of auto start. My first attempt at it had me sitting there for three hours straight trying to figure out what I did wrong. 💀
Back when I started with DCS, there was no manual for the P51 out yet and the autostart for the module was bugged. So I decided to try it myself, no manuals, no tutorials. Took me 2 hours to find the correct procedure (or mostly correct). Now I could start it in 45 seconds or less :D
Bro..... The first time I played IL-2 after playing War Thunder for so long I was like WTF 🤣🤣🤣😂 and looked exactly like this trying to get off the runway.. I remember sitting in that HE-111 and seeing all the knobs, switches and levers and then the bombing sight has to be calibrated🤦♂ I quickly learned that Even "Sim" in war thunder isn't simulator 😅 2:55 "Pretty sizable fire"
Ironically, there are actually things that War Thunder simulates with more detail than DCS "under the hood", such as missile seeker behavior and countermeasure interaction. This is mostly due to DCS being a 13 year old product at its core. That's just one of the things that Eagle Dynamics haven't gotten around to improving (yet?), whereas modern missiles are a very recent addition to War Thunder
I can an air mouse glued to a clip that i clip to my hat. Wasn’t used that though. My logitech flight stick has a eight directional hat on top of it that i bound to camera movments
@@headers3445 DCS definitely needs some sort of head tracking when it comes to combat. It gets very tiring in VR where you have to turn the full distance physically, keeping track of one bandit for five minutes had me sweating buckets lol
That's because the physics in DCS are based on wind tunnel performance numbers and therefor feel real. If you've only played video games like WT rather than Sims, like DCS, then the physics will throw you off a bit, but are still modeled more accurately then any other game or Sim on the market.
@@ostlandia There's a decent sale on right now, most war birds are $25. F-16 is 30% off down to $55. Sales are quite frequent, and whatever you spend on most modules you get equivalent "air miles" as store credit. At the weekend I'm picking up the Spitfire and Normandy Map, giving me enough store credit for Heatblurs Eurofighter when they're done making it. Trials are also just to see if you like it before you commit, not to truly learn and master it lol. There are also cheaper low fidelity modules more fitting for mouse and keyboard users as the cockpit isn't usable, everything must be keybound
Meanwhile in WT: someone struggles to press the "i" button.
It was me years ago
Lol
Not someone but level 100RB 'ace'

49 items from cold dark to combat ready... Never done the Tomcat from cold dark but somehow feel it's probably less.

Wooo, I can press all these buttons, how cool

Autostart because fuck those buttons
I have to respect this because you used a video of a real p51C first and only turned to to the DCS guides when you are fully stuck.
Why would you use a P-51C video to start a P-51D?
I’ve been playing dcs for three years now and I could only ever fly this plane because of auto start. My first attempt at it had me sitting there for three hours straight trying to figure out what I did wrong. 💀
P51D was my first DCS plane and watching brought back awful and hilariously relatable memories
You did it though! Most people's first attempts in Warbirds ends up like that, even experienced DCS jet pilots.
air force will never let you cook again 😭😭😭😭
average dcs video

lol like watching a monkey figure out a tv remote :) . As a DCS player I can relate to this video every time I try a new module lol.
Hahahahaha genuinely loved it. But not going to lie it would have happened to me as well
2:24 I like the decoration hahah!
More interested to know what sort of CPU and GPU you have.
This is great. Thank you :)
Im glad you enjoyed
You should've watched the original WWII P-51 videos as a tutorial, those old warbirds are purposely simple to operate
@@OfficialUSKRprogram were can i find that? 😯
Pretty smooth taxi btw. Looks like you forgot to disable rudder helper(arcade mode) for this module ;)
Lol I didn’t even know that was a thing. That was my first time opening the app
Bro forgot the engine runs on fuel :P

Impossible they will never know how to get out of the plane 😂
You know DCS comes with in game tutorials 😂
Dude the P-51 is one of the simplest aircraft, on purpose lol
@OfficialUSKRprogram Well, apparently not lol
This accurately represents how people who call war thunder a realsim should REALLY THINK about rephrasing their statement

@@ferrari2k so true. War thunder sim feels like and arcade game now
@@headers3445 Always has been a game.
Didn’t feel like one. Im implying it felt like a sim (but not anymore)

maybe start with a ww 1 plane dude ?😛

Guess I’ll get to work on that

try windows and pos1=autostart

Little-known fact: DCS coding secretly adjusts loadouts to reflect fact regular DCS flyers have such big balls.
DCS is a simulator, no an arcade game.
I'm kinda mid at warbirds in DCS, and my takeoffs and landings occasionally look like that. Tail draggers are hard.
Id doesn’t get much better lol. Check out part two if you haven’t already
