Honest answer, not sure. They will behave like any other ground units but on this sever I don’t know if they have any specific tasking. In single player I believe you can have troops do stuff after deploying, but I don’t have much experience with that aspect of the mission editor.
I've always wondered that, every huey pilot's memoir i've read talks about hitting 110-120 when they are hauling ass in a bad situation and carrying weight and I always wondered why the DCS huey could easily go higher.. still LOVE flying it though
@@CptRodSerling Well, glad to hear that you are enjoying it. That said, as some one who has flown the old model, looked at charts and talked with some pilots.... it is awful in its current state. Except cyclic position, everything else is horrible and detached from reality. Google TM 55-1520-210-10 if you are curious and look up the speeds in the charts. Even wiki states 110 knots Vne (never exceed, doesn't mean it can reach it in level flight) at max gross weight. Every story I've heard from people who have flown it is, that you don't want to be going over 90, or your teeth might fall out. Knowing what it was, and the issues it had back then, I am just unable to enjoy it in its current state. *shrug*... anyway.
Question.. do you troops actually do something? If you unload them…can you tell them what do do?
If this is the case I would buy this DLC in a second

"Vietnam"
Start the video, skip a minute into it, blud's doing 150 knots..... I hate how they butchered the Huey.
I genuinely have trouble not accidentally going rapid. I assume 150 is unrealistic?
@@CptRodSerling cruising speed is about 115 :) I think top speed is supposed to be about 125.

@@ItsJustSteve yeah same, it’s a joy to fly even if it’s hard to keep to realistic speeds. I suppose the real issue is lack of damage from over speed.
