    I love the Gazelle, such a nimble and responsive little thing. Feels great to whip it around and sneak up on unsuspecting jets with the mistral

      Yes, despite her "unique" flight characteristic in DCS, im not a real pilot to judge. But if you know how to have fun with it, it's a cool heli to fly in

    Just did a trial of a couple helis in DCS last night. They are MUCH harder to fly than I thought. Makes this video that much more impressive to me.

      @Rodz88  2 года назад +2

      Thank you! You will get a hang of it as you spend more time flying. Maybe because i started with the Huey then Hind, Apache & Hip which is much more harder, Gazelle felt easy.

      @robadzso 2 года назад +2

      Just have a shot at it Mat! The initial frustration is real, but once you get somewhat proficient, you'll start enjoying the higher challenge. Hovering in the Kamov and being and invisible sniper is great fun.

      There is a lot of good advice on youtube about helo setup and how to operate them, especially things like how to avoid VRS in the Huey and how to curve and desaturate the Gaz to make it actually flyable. Helos tend to need very small adjustments and babying in a way that jets don't but they can be super fun because the tactical challenge is significant. When you get competent enough o fly formation and drop troops en mass at an LZ within a mile of an enemy concentration and then go down the front line getting the enemy rekt it is really rewarding.

      @@System-Update oh yes, that's why flying helo is equally satisfying. Every successful take off, dropping supplies / troops then land back in one piece is a very satisfying feeling.

      @Rodz88 yeah I don't get why, I guess people are only use to seeing heavy assault and not scout birds going into effect. Weight plays a huge roll but some think all birds fly the same. Thanks and I will definitely be looking for the update.

      Thank you! Hahaha. Sometimes that's how i have fun in Enigma Server. Fun fact , after that strike they dedicated themselves just to hunt any helicopters in the vicinity of the airbase, my 2nd attempt wasn't that lucky. They got me half way through the journey. It does pull some heat of from our ground units, i still count that a great contribution 🤣

    • @kennylippiatt
      @kennylippiatt 2 года назад +1

      @@Rodz88 VRS is still not properly modelled for the gazelle. It shouldn't have the engine power to just lift straight out of it, and yet you can just raise collective and be fine which isn't accurate.

    I wouldn't call that a master plan with loads of missiles flying your way like that. You're lucky tracking in DCS is rubbish, otherwise that SA-8 would've gotten you way before you even fired at any Froggy.
    Take out the air defences first, and then come back with the Gazelle L maybe to have fun with your rockets and gun or do it again with the M.
    You're welcome.
