      Thank you. I bought at a local store. I did ask for free delivery since I could get that online and they did that no problem. When I was shopping over a few months I didn't find any sales. I think they are like most higher end brands and only have discounts if you order multiple appliances at once. Thanks for watching!

    I recommend using cooking oil for that squeak instead. I've used cooking oil for door hinges, cabinets etc. Works just fine.
    I didn't quite understand the name of the Meats place in NJ that you mentioned. I'm in New Jersey and work all over northern NJ. You mentioned it 57 seconds into the video.

    Saw your review and found it very informative. Nice to finally see a review from an end user and not a salesman. Looking at the 42" with all ceramic burners. Trident burners IMHO will require extra maintenance and concerned with how long they will last. Ty again for your well done review! Looking into the side burner because of your review.

      Thanks for watching, glad you found it helpful. I actually just walked in from firing mine up 😁
      Tough to say on the Trident burner. I haven’t had any issues yet. The other burners get really hot so you def won’t have an issue if you need some high heat.
      Love mine, I’m sure you will be thrilled when you get it.

    Gone are the days of $2.50 a gal. I paid $4.25 gal at TSC last week, thank you Biden. I do love my Lynx grill and I have a Green Egg too. The Lynx grill is about 16 years old and is it is like new and it is quick to heat up and cook with. I changed my grill from propane to NG for less than $200 including adding a NG line to back of my house. I highly recommend using NG. I too added the gas burners and they are great and you can get a wok grill too. Lynx grill covers are very heavy duty and mine has been thru a couple of 3 " hail stones and protected my grill from dents and still is OK. I lined by grease tray with AL foil and just change it out when needed. My back burner must need a new thermocouple because it will not stay lite. My side burners will go very low and allows me to simmer. I impressed with my side burners as they will stay on even in a heavy wind. I just have to manage the pot to get the heat on a windy day. Thanks for your review and I agree with getting a Lynx grill.

    Thanks for all the thought and time you put into this review, appreciate it. Looking at a 42" myself, and wondering your thoughts on going with all 3 tridents vs. just the one? Does the trident go as low as the ceramic burners?

    • @RumandCook
      @RumandCook  3 года назад +1

      No problem. I believe the 42" is the way to go for sure. The 54" is nice, but it's a lot bigger than I expected, and you really don't get much more rotisserie room because of the gap in the middle.
      Personally, I think the ceramic burners radiate more even heat and heat a wider area. The tridents go low, but all the heat is right over the burner itself so the whole area isn't as even as the ceramics with the ceramic briquettes over top. I'd go with only 1 Trident myself.

    Thanks for the video. I'm replacing a ~24-year old Lynx 27" built-in that's in a brick surround on the back side of my chimney. So my choice is new 27" Lynx professional because I don't want to do brick work to modify the cutout. On a small grill, would you get 1 ceramic and 1 trident burner, or 2 trident burners? I like both direct and indirect cooking (turkey at thanksgiving, etc).

    • @RumandCook
      @RumandCook  3 года назад +1

      No problem. 24 years, I’d say you got your money’s worth! 😊 I don’t think you can go wrong either way, but I’d pick one of each. The main reason for that is because with all of the ceramic briquettes you can really maximize the cooking area. You can cram in a bunch of burgers and not have any hot spots. Then on the other you still have maximum searing. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

      @@RumandCook Thanks for the reply - makes sense. At first I thought to get all ceramic, but videos of Trident in action make me think it is worth getting one. BTW, the old Lynx built-in grill hasn't worked since 2016 when we moved in. It had been abused & not been maintained by previous owners. I had service out and they said it wouldn't be cost effective to repair, so it just sits there and mocks me, while I use my trusty old Weber Genesis EP-330.

    It might just be me, but I haven't felt the need to own a gas grill ever since I started using a Kamado grill. I have a Blackstone flat top that runs on propane and I absolutely love, but gas grills just don't do it for me anymore, maybe something like this baller grill would change my mind since it can get really really hot.

      No problem. The Trident is ceramic as well so tough to say. Mine is 3 years old and no issues with the burners at all. Maybe it’s a different material. My briquettes are not showing any signs is off yet either.
      That being said, I do have other grills so I may not use it as much as you. Sometimes a few times per week and sometimes a few per month. All depends what I feel like cooking 😀. Sorry I don’t have better input. The burners haven’t been around that long so not sure even Lynx knows the answer for sure. I would guess they tested them for a few years before releasing though.

    Can I still achieve a charcoal taste if I get the smoker biz

    • @RumandCook

      Unfortunately, you can’t replace that charcoal taste with a gas grill. Why not try and build in something like a Kamado Joe? Then you could still have charcoal.
      You can still cook some great food on a gas grill, it’s just missing the charcoal flavor. Smokers are going to add a more unique flavor. Depending on the smoker you can still grill over charcoal on it. Like a Kamado Joe.

Anyway good luck. 🍀 also you might want to check the controls because some controls you can pull the knob off and take a small screwdriver and adjust the pressure .
