I’m a pretty big fan of the Brabham BT46B, aka “the fan car”. Long story short, it uses a giant fan under the car to suck itself down onto the track for extra grip. As a side effect, it looked like it had a jet engine sticking out the back. The fan car won the only race it was entered in before it was banned for being brokenly overpowered.

Surprised the Brawn didn't make the list. Admittedly the livery was a major factor in why it was so gorgeous, but would still have been stunning without it IMO. Happy to see my favourite F1 car of all time - the Williams 14B - on the list. Going purely on looks though, for me the Number One is the Lotus 72 with the Gold Leaf livery - and please don't burn me as a heretic but the JPS livery never really did it for me, on that or any other car.
Not enough people mentioning the Alonso era Renaults. Maybe I am partial to the yellow/blue liveries because the early 90s Williams are also some of my favorites
Ferrari F2007 or Ferrari F2008 without the shark fin deserves to be in this list, in my opinion. The dark red coupled with the barcode livery and all the winglets and aerodynamic devices where form-and-function go well together made it really look gorgeous. It was also a nice tribute to over the body aerodynamics before it got outlawed for 2009.
I've always had a soft spot for the Williams FW08, especially when it was running without the front wing. It looked clean and aggressive. I think that the McLaren MP4-13 had a slight edge over the "14," but it's all subjective.

Am I the only one who loves the look of the 2009-2016 cars (especially 2010 and 2011)
I think current cars are often overlooked in these comparisons. Renault, Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Red Bull, so many banging cars in 2019.
The 412 t2 ferrari was a stunner in the looks department and had the best sound of any challenger that year it is my favorite and was glad to see it mentioned.
The JPS livery was simply iconic in motorsports! You can't go wrong with black and gold! Right up there with the Gulf and Martini Rossi schemes!
Sadly Haas proved you can indeed go wrong with a black and gold livery.
