Agri Spray Drones - Trailer Setup

  • We get asked frequently about what truck and trailer setup is needed to operate a sprayer drone. There isn’t a one size fits all solution when it comes to setups. Some factors to consider are: What carrying capacity for water/chemical is needed? Are you landing on a trailer or the ground? If you have a trailer, can you get into the operation area? How do you plan to transport the drone from field to field?
    In this video, we give you an inside look at our custom application trailer setup and cover some elements to consider.
    If you are an Agri Spray Drones customer you can access a full list of items we used in our setup and links to the supplies in the customer resource folder. Document is named “Field Ops Supplies List.”

    Kudos to you for your innovation on that rig. Your explanations of how the system works and why you did what you did are very well done. Many here have pointed out the lack of safety rails and other issues, but you said this is a work-in-progress and you are improving it as you go. I look forward to seeing another video when you have the final version worked out.

    Hello from Phoenix, Arizona! I’ve been following you guys I just think it’s the coolest thing what you’ve done. You should refine that set up and start selling it or maybe selling a kit where people can piece it together on their own truck. That is so cool. The umbrella is so important, especially out here in the desert but even where you’re at the sun it’s just a killer. maybe get a generator box that keeps it quieter. That might be one thing you might consider there are some boxes specifically made for generators to keep them quiet. Anyway, thank you for sharing the videos. I’m just fascinated I do have my part 107 and I am a private pilot but I just have a DJI air 2S right now. Take care.

    • @bryanhauschild4376
      @bryanhauschild4376 Год назад

      I would like to add, the current largest production ag plane carries 800 gallons and cost around $2 million. It is estimated for an unmanned aircraft that could do the same amount of work would cost over $36 million.
      A one bushel drone can do 20 acres in a day of cover crop seeding. The 800 gallon airplane can do multiple thousands of acres. What the 800 can do in one load would take a drone 86 loads. So it would take 8600 one bushel drones to equal the capacity of 1 800 gallon aircraft. Then one must figure in speed. The 800 does 170mph, I’m betting the drone is under 30mph. So my math says it would take 48,733 drone to do the work of on 800 gallon airplane. My math is challengable, but I’m really close to fact.

      Not really, you’re limiting passes in the field with a sprayer. Every time you drive a sprayer in there you’re running over crops in turn lowering yield

    Here in Québec your setup will be not accepted because you have no secutity fence, the plywood became very sliding because the product fall on and the brige look like a acrobat peice in a circus, and i see the color of the plywood find a way to stop droping product every where.Go in a welding shop and do someting better than that.Why you have 2 operator the dji agra 30t can be drive whit 1 controller?

  • @davidbruce5175

    OSHA is watching this just wondering where to start with the violations. Elevated platform with absolutely no railing, is the plywood just laying up there or secured? No chemical gloves or eye protection (Harbor Freight black vinyl gloves aren't chemical rated). Not to be Debbie downer, but this is a major safety setup. I fly a drone and love Agri drones, but you might want to reconsider this setup. Any platform over 4 feet needs a railing at least 42 inches tall. You are way above this. Good luck
