Seems like a nice trailer, I would only recommend one addition: Add a railing around the entire top deck. You could make it fold down with one mechanical motion pretty easily if it can't be up when the drone takes off. Somebody WILL fall off. It's not a matter of if, but purely a matter of when. A lack of attention, a slippery floor, bumping into something, somebody will fall, and that can easily be avoided. Check out European bulk carrier trailers (the circular ones). They have a railing along the catwalk that can be raised from the ground by just pulling a single lever. I'm sure you guys could implement something similar to keep people safe.
I agree 100%. I would also add that standing so close to launching/arriving rotorcraft has significant hazards. I would not want to be that close to an aircraft with rotors turning, ever. Drones of these size have potential to cause serious bodily injury.
Hello guys, cool trailer, it’s a pity that in our region only the closed version is suitable. And this is just right for private farming! Greetings from agro drones of Kazakhstan.
@@nuWayAg We are currently flying T40 and T30, and have ordered a DJI T50 for the summer. Friends have an XAG P100, but they didn’t like the way the radar worked and the controls weren’t introduced. Although XAG has a higher hectare/hour than T40.
How do you run your crew on the flight deck? Might be a good idea to add 360 degree swivel chairs (similar to the umbrella holder) for pilot/gcs to sit and monitor while out on mission instead of building fatigue standing around. Really cool concept overall. We were running two trailers (flatbed + enclosed) to do this with larger scale fixed wing sUAS.
Very cool this gave me an idea I'd move the ladder to the back Slant the roof only on the section that is beyond the main frame of the trailer that is above the anchor to make the trailer more aerodynamic Move the big tank sideways at the beginning of the trailer to keep as much weight as possible between tires Have a rail system for the batteries so I can just drop it down to the first floor with a removal of a pin and I am not carrying weight on top while traveling All around rail system that can drop down flat on its X angle by using swinging anchor points. I dont know how to describe it but you move the anchor from laying flat to 90 degree up and it moves up the railing with it.
This looks great, but when you are going down the road and the drones being stored on top are going to get hit by low hanging limbs. want that cause some damage to the drones over time?
Why not a fully enclose trailer with the sides opening upward to increase the size of the flight deck, like 3x's? Extra shade underneath and safer topside without a hand rail. Better security during transport and overnight stays. Great start though.
You don’t need a larger landing deck. You’re in and out of fields and back roads sometimes without a great place to park. Also - you those things may be an option for a 70k trailer but they won’t help you be more efficient than on this trailer 🤷♂️IMO
This is meant for fields with hundreds of acres. In theory this seems great and I wonder if this could be used in residential turf applications as well.

Ohhhhh man you would have a ton of licensing through the state. I own a pest control company and it's ridiculous how much licensing I need to spray for mosquitoes lol
What bothers me... you have very expensive drones totally exposed. No cover or removable hard top cover for the drones? That can attach to the top deck?
@@chasehall5097 i meant like more compact top to bottom vertically since the tank and other stuff on the bottom seems quite inefficient and the space is already higher than the truck so cutting it down woudnt be a problem

How great would it be if the whole setup could be run from a F-150 Lightning or equivalent electric work truck with sufficient on-board energy. If not, lots of 3-phase worksite battery solutions already out there. To each their own - what I can assure you is that after spraying over ten thousand acres, our team 100% prefers this setup. Next week we'll release a video with more walkthrough of this specific design choice. Thanks for your comment
I agree regarding the railing all around. I'd also throw in a pair of seats up top if they're flying the drones from up there.

I just bought a trailer 2 weeks ago. I love the stairs. I have a ladder on mine and wish I had stairs. I like the charging station setup. Pretty cool.
Ain't no way you bought one of these there would be nowhere to put the damn thing and he would want at least 50,000 for one. I detect a salesman.
I wanna start a business doing this just because of this video. This is so cool..
Just got done teaching a Part 107 test prep course, and talking about all of the opportunity out there. This setup is amazing. Nice job!

Neat setup, i would love to have something like if i was still doing drone flights.
Have you looked into launching a drone in ground effect from an elevated pad?
What Haz-Mat equipment and personal protection equipment are mandatory?
Throw in a fold down bench and a mini fridge. set for the day!
Why when you have a generator do you not opt for an electric pump vs petrol pump ?
i was confused on that too, 2 generators and a gas pump seems like overkill and more noise.
Agree. I would also be running couple of Honda 2200s linked together. Smaller foot pront and much less sound.

You definitely need a railing around the whole top deck . Osha would give you a fine for that. Big safety concern
We are implementing another safety system. But no rails because it’s a flight hazard. Needs to be flat
Awesome job on this video, and great setup. Rooting for y'll, good luck!
Thanks so much!
Needs fold down/up railings for most jurisdictions to allow employees.
Same thought. In addition the flight deck seems at an unneccecary height. Could definitely be lowered to reduce the risk.

The front railing is higher than the drones. It’s all under the regulation height so all main roadways should be clear no problem
I worry about gravel road dust getting into those chargers for us that live in very rural dusty road areas; any thoughts?
There's always a battery in the charger - with a waterproof seal.
Nice rig...I'd put some sort of non slip surface on that flight deck if I were you is all but other than that...sweet rig.

How many acres would it take to pay off that 110k set up? Not including truck and drive time. Just equipment, drones, and pilots.
7000-8000 acres
Is there a way to secure the drones up top during transport?
Yes. There are D-rings bolted into the top deck.
