Woah, yeah that could be it. I mean both in the Kanto series 1 and in the Movie I Choose You do Ash and Pikachu get attacked by Spearow and immediately after are presented with Ho-Oh. Nice theory DexBNimble ;)
5:15 "Slightly bigger"? Fearrow is 3'11" tall, and weighs 38 kgs. Ho-oh is is 12'06" tall, and weighs 199 kgs. Bigger? Yes. SLIGHTLY? I don't think so.
True... Magikarp is 0.9m tall and weighs 10kg. Gyarados is 6.5m tall and weighs 235kg. There's no way Magikarp evolves into Gyarados, that would make no sense.
+WobblyBits_X, we're talking about a direct comparison of sizes here, not evolution. Evolution is known to drastically alter the physical characteristics of Pokemon, such as Metapod to Butterfry, Dragonair to Dragonite, Charmeleon to Charizard, and so on. However, in the video he quotes a size comparison directly between Ho-oh and Fearrow.
For Me. In my opinion, Ho Oh is the God Of Pokemon. Notice how Pokemons change their Emotions when he is around or just passing by. Anger turns to calm and Joy. Remember when ash was attacked by a flock of Spearow and almost died. When Ho oh was passing by ash got resurrected and the Spearow stopped attacking. Another scenario, remember when the pokemons were controlled (angered) when Ho Oh passed, They regained their selves back. And Arceus was the opposite, Pokemon fears him when he is in the area
"Ho-oh revives pokemon and makes them something more" Did you know there's a theory that Entei, Raikou and Suicune were Flareon, Jolteon and Vaporeon before they died? Go look it up.
it's actually supposed to be a spring onion. duck and spring onion is a popular meal in japan/china, so the idea of a duck literally walking up to you, with a spring onion, ready to be cooked, is kind of... farfetched...
omg I'm so glad that I found you. I don't know if you intended this comment to be a joke or not, but I thought this through awhile back, and I am actually convinced that Ho-oh is Ash's father! For so long I have been the only person I know of who's had this idea, but then I came across your comment! Here's my evidence: -Since the beginning, Ho-oh has repeatedly appeared before Ash. Most people don't even see him once. -In mythology, the famous demigods have a lot of legends associated with them. The same can be applied to Ash, with as many people as he's helped, and as many times as he's saved the world. Think about it; he does kinda seem like somebody out of legend. -It explains his age: if he has legendary pokemon DNA in him, then maybe he could age slower. -He has greater bonds with his pokemon than anyone else in the anime. Also, legendary pokemon are always drawn to Ash. They trust him. Even if the movies aren't canon, that doesn't change the fact that legendaries are drawn to him. This all makes sense if he's part legendary. -According to the pokédex, Ho-oh brings happiness to everyone who sees him. Ash brings happiness to people he meets in EVERY SINGLE EPISODE. A trait passed from father to son, perhaps? -Ho-oh has always been shrouded in mystery. He's never even been in a movie. Despite being important in the Gold and Heart Gold games, he has not been very prevalent in the anime. Little is known about him. But, Ash has seen him 3 times, the first time being in the very first episode of the anime. The writers would not have done this if it wasn't to set something up.
My theory is that Ho oh was the king of the sparrows in episode one when pikachu fucked up all those sparrows. He's the evolved version of fearow and came out if the tree to revive it's sparrows. Or all the sparrows souls combined together into a Ho oh.
SlazerFis the problem with this theory is that Ho-Oh pre-existed prior to Ash seeing it. The revival of the three ancient dogs was exactly that, ancient. If this were abnormal occurrence for all Spearow/Fearow then there would be craploads of Ho-Oh.
2:43 to 2:56 Maybe that's why the Pokemon anime Season 1 through Season 2, always likes to pair Ash with Ho-Oh (Other than Ash seeing it fly through the skies). It's probably their way of saying Ho-Oh was meant to be the penultimate Gen 1 legendary (Other than Mewtwo) until all other iterations came to the surface. If you think about it, Gen 1's main theme was based around "birth" with Mew(Embryo) and Mewtwo(Test tube Embryo). Ho-Oh is a phoenix and we all know phoenix's die and get "reborn" from their ashes (Is it a coincidence that the Pokemon anime's protagonist is named "Ash"?). What are your thoughts on this Proto?
+HolyNova Lucario™ (オーラ神) Remember that "Originally" the name is not Ash, but "Satoshi" (The real japanese name of Ash), I think they went with "Ash" because of the whole phoenix thing with Ho-oh and because it's a sticky name for English audiences.
now that I think about it, Fearow sounds like pharaoh who are supposed to be the descendants of Ra the Sun god of ancient Egypt and Ho-oh can translate to fire king. phoenix=fire deity/king of fire, ra=sun deity/king of the sun which is a ball of fire, Ho-oh and Fearow link confirmed
I'm surprised proto never drew any sort of parallel between Diancie, a legendary pokémon confirmed to have once been a regular Carbink, and Ho-oh...maybe the same energy affecting that Carbink affected a Spearow at some point hundreds of years previously?
+ProtoMario pokemon that mega evolve do not need keystones the anime mega evolution special & the diancie movie NO Keystone this is evidence proto so could you do this theory please
+battledragon 360 one theory could be that rather than being necessary objects, they only magnify the friendship level (or whatever is required) to a high enough point to obtain mega evolution when it comes to a captured pokemon, though it may be possible that the trainer and pokemon manage to reach the required compatability without the assistance of the stones and what not, in the case of any wild pokemon mega evolving it could be due to a strong enough will to become stronger
Gotta say, this theory makes the Fearow line much more badass. I ALWAYS preferred Pidgeot over Fearow, mostly out of pure badassery/appearance but partially in the better moveset and stat distribution for my team. But if you consider Fearow as a Ho-Oh that hasn't eaten enough fire stones to begin shitting out rainbows yet, it's actually pretty cool.
There was this story about a rainbow parrot. And when winter was coming the animals needed heat, so rainbow parrot went away to find a way to keep everyone warm. Then rainbow parrot ran into this god, who gave rainbow parrot a branch that was on fire, and rainbow parrot brought it back, and everyone was warm for the winter. Ho-Oh, being the rainbow Pokemon, and a fire type, this makes sense for ho-oh to be based off of rainbow parrot.
+Josney 26 They have never stated their theories were fact, they have "But hey, that's just a theory....a game theory, thanks for watching" at the end for a reason.
It seems to me like that pokemon was a fearow but nintendo might of made a mistake unless ho oh was really second gen coming out just saying that nintendo got the ho oh idea then teally fast decided to make a gen two.
I think I solved it, since ho-oh is a phoenix and it is restoring fallen Pokemon and blessing them with power, the only thing that is more powerful and is able to give THAT much power to another Pokemon, it has to be magikarp.
MAGICKARP'S REVENGE: IT HAS A POWER LEVEL OF 9,000 AND A PRIORITY OF 500, IT NEVER MISSES AND SENDS YOUR POKEMON INTO THE DEPTHS OF HELL NEVER TO RETURN!!
Also in the first episode of the anime, Ash has some problems with a pack of Spearows and a Fearow, and by the end of the episode he sees what he thought was Ho-Oh.
Sir Pikachu where? Last time i checked when bell tower burned down (said in the show) suicune, raikou and entei burned to death and got brought back to life by Ho-Oh. If they came from eevees then somebody lieing. If they came from eevees then Ho-Oh cant bring pokemon to life or back to life
Hey it seems or looke like maybe it was a fearow ash saw then nintendo decided really fast and quickly thought " hey its ho oh or the idea of a second gen two but why was fearow gold unless that was ho oh but where did he came from?like we could of turned into gen three or four or really fast skipping gen two you feel me lol?
I noticed the similarity when I was a kid ! I always thought it was weird they looked so close. after hearing about the eveelutions being the legendary dogs this makes tons of sense.
Wait... If Ho-Oh made Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon into Entai, Raikou, and Suicine, what made Fearow, into Ho-Oh? Was it Arceus? That's what my biggest guest would be. Any thoughts, anyone?
Thank you for showing the list of Pokemon that were cut from Gen 1! After seeing that, I went and looked it up for myself! I've been trying to find out for YEARS how it was that I actually encountered a Raikou in Yellow version way back before Gen 2 ever even came out. Still have no idea how the glitch activated and have been looking for an explanation forever.
TheCosmaticGamer Well, the second generation was never going to exist until high demand came, so Moltres probably just didn't exist and they made ho-oh into second generation because he didn't have as solid as a color as the others. Sorry if this was to long XD
Moltres was supposedly going to be arcanine but the devs changed coz its wierd that 2 birds and 1 dog as the 3 elements so they changed it then became Moltres
OR. or. Fearow is based on soaring, predatory birds (which spend a lot of time flying) and ho-oh is marketed as a Pokemon that perches only once in a blue moon (meaning it spends a lot of time flying) Satoshi Tajiri is no dumb-dumb, he knows that there are rules to the physiology of animals based on what they spend most of their time doing, and creatures that spend a lot of time flying are naturally going to have conveniently similar body structures. I don't really care about whether or not ho-oh or fearow had any relation in pre-production, but your argument for why they might be related feels incredibly scattered and under-researched.
if Ho-oh can revive the dead back to life then doesn't that mean that he revived Ash back to life ??? because Ash did see Ho-oh after he woke up in one of the first episodes
I really wish you'd stop doing the "But Proto!" bit, because that's probably more annoying that if people actually said that kind of stuff in the comments, which I don't really see happen that often in your comments
ProtoMario - Also in episode 1 of Pokemon, Ash and Pikachu were attacked by Spearow. After the climax, he see's Ho-oh. Not sure if it means anything, but it's cool to see that the same evolution line that caused so much pain for him in the beginning actually brings hope.
The basis of Ho-oh pheonix theme is not that it dies and is reborn itself. But Ashes journey dies and gets reborn into a new generation since he sees Ho-oh at the start of each new region. In the pokedex entries: It will reveal itself before a pure-hearted Trainer by shining its bright, rainbow-colored wings. Its feathers are in seven colors. It is said that anyone seeing it is promised eternal happiness. And thus Ash always goes on what he dreams to do, meeting new pokemon and tryharding the league to fail in the end, so he can keep traveling to new places :P
...and shiny Fearow look almost same as Ho-Oh which Ash saw in episode one. I think Pokemon had a more, more deep story in the beginning. Idk why but something happend and their decided to change storyline. Maybe cuz of marketing? Maybe they doesn't want to let Ash grow up to have some bigger bond with Ho-Oh and let them go their way in the future. I'm always sad when i think how Ash would be awsome if they would let him grow up and maybe catch a legend like Ho~Oh. I always imagine scene like some new protagonist is in big trouble and then badass Ash is coming through with some badass music and chew all bad guys. Sadly, it will not ever happen. Ash as character lost it potential a long time ago. He's stupid, he is losing his skills all the time when he should be a legendary trainer right now.
By 2022 ash must have became legendary trainer with almost all legendary Pokemons! From my side I don't actually like his Pokemonns except Pikachu, Charizard bulbasaur totodile squittle etc! Over the time I lost interest in his Pokemonns! All they are logic less and overrated+ 80% of Ash 's Pokemon never evolved
Fearow looks quite old and scruffy to me (look at that bent beck). Sorta how I imagine that a phoenix would look like just before it's about to die and "reincarnate".
Except ho-oh has a completely different story arch. Mega evolutions are this bull crap they shoehorned into the lore. Pokemon are turning into digimon slowly
+Sebastian Jensen For as many Power Points it can use before killing itself with Struggle. It would be interesting to find which scenario of battle could produce the most rounds. (Technically in some games you could have a battle last forever by having a Ditto battle a Ditto, look up the Transform Paradox)
TinchoX Ditto uses transform which turns itself into the other Ditto which resets the move transform's PP to 5. Then the other Ditto uses transform which turns it into Ditto which resets the move transform's PP to 5. Rinse and repeat.
My Ho-oh theory: What I was thinking when ash and Pickachu were attacked by spearows one evolved into a feorow and got caught in a fire made by a lighting bolt and turned into a Phoenix.. And Ho-oh is based of a Phoenix...... Hear that? That's the roar of approximately 500,000 peoples minds blown
Also in pokemon I believe they don't want legendaries to be pokemon that could evolve (The reason Arcanine isn't a legendary but is supposed to be) so basically Ho-Oh can not be an evolved pokemon at all.
+PFF lol The move "Thunderbolt" is a mistranslation. It's supposed to be "Lightningbolt". But, it was actually a good thing it was mistranslated, because it never would have fit in the move box as " Lightningbolt". (In Japanese, thunder and !ightning are the same thing. No wonder it was mistranslated.)
Did you know Arcanine was suppose to be a legendary Pokemon in Gen 1? Arcanine was going to be part of the Legendary trio alongside Articuno and Zapdos but they made Arcanine a normal Pokemon and switched it to Moltres.
@Proto Mario you are sort of right. The 1999 blue/red version were launched after a very questionable decision. There was going to be an extra pokemon (aside from mew and mewtwo) it supposed to be a God Pokemon but game freak people thought it would be too soon for it. So they took it down, but they couldn't delete the whole data since this would have delay the release for longer and that was no in their options. So, instead they created a glitch, the pokemon would still appear (sort of) just with no appeareance and with the name of MissingNo. Your ho oh was deleted. MissingNo grants you happiness in the game it multiples your six item to infinitive amounts. Your rare candy should be one of those item along with the master ball. That pokemon is there but it isn't as well. Because is a missing number
This is actually incredibly believable. I always found the legend about Entei, Suicune, and Raikou originally being Flareon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon pretty probable.
Quote -ProtoMario they both have"feathers on their wings" Haha, the only living creature that comes to mind that doesn't have feathers would be the bat (not including insects, reptiles and extinct creatures.)
Theory: Pikachu killed one of the Spearows in Episode 1. Maybe HoHo isn't the reincarnation of Fearow, but the evolution of a dead Spearow, which is why we saw HoHo at the end of the episode.
I think Ho-oh appearing in the first episode of the show backs up the "He was cut" thing. Also, the whole reviving/protecting thing, too. That was the episode where Pikachu nearly died. And Ho-oh protected him. Or maybe revived him(possible he died for a short amount of time).
That would make sense but the game came out before the tv show in which ho-oh was cut long before the TV show. It is possible that Ho-oh appering in the first episode was an easter egg that ho-oh was orignally surpose to be in Red,Blue,Yellow etc. To be even more fair Game freak did the same thing with the togipi which is a pokemon that might have been one of the hack pokemon that was cut from Red,Blue etc yet appering in the Kanto regeion in the anima in the episode where ash falls in a hole and meets the fossil pokemon. SO it could very likey that these Johto Pokemon appering in the Kanto regeion were simple easter eggs.(And thats not a joke about togipi beging an egg :P)
The show was made long after the decision to cut pokemon out of the games. By time the anime rolled out in the US, they were already designing Gold and Silver. These Easter eggs were put in, on purpose, purely to hype people up for the next generation of games. Since then, they've done this same exact thing with the other seasons and some of the movies as well. Let's keep in mind that the anime is essentially part of the marketing for their games, trading cards, and other merchandise. :P
Proto ! I think Ho-Oh was the third evolution of the spearow and fearow evolution line . But after a while they stopped evolving into Ho-Ohs because there were many pokemon hunters who caught ho-oh to collet its feathers. Eventually there was only 1 Ho-Oh left . thats my therory
I like your theory man! Makes sense. Another example to support to your theory could be like in the first episode of the anime after ash and pikachu defeats the spearows. Ho-oh flew over them as if that's its heritage!
With Ash being attacked by a flock of Spearow in the beginning of the Anime and then seeing Ho-oh afterwards, maybe the series intended to come full-circle at one point but then decided to expand for another 20 years instead.
Pokemon didn't even existed when Yoshi was created IMO, it was planned to be in the first game, but due to many technical issues it was left and later introduced in Super Mario Worls
your theory opens up a new possible theory... what if the fearow that attacked ash evolved our changed thanks to pikachus thunderbolt attack? it's not exactly fire but could have caused the trees to burn
I remember seeing Ho-Oh on the Pokemon show in the very beginning and Ash thought that it must have been Articuno that he saw. I think it was when me met Bill that he made this 'revelation' and to my knowledge it's never referenced again as to why Ash saw a Johto legendary Pokemon flying over him when his knowledge of the species was limited to those in Kanto.
So maybe that's why Ho-Oh appeared to Ash right after he & Pikachu were attacked by the Spearow, like..."my bad, forgive my little bros bro"
DexMichael exactly lol
yo dude it could be...its a good theory
Woah, yeah that could be it. I mean both in the Kanto series 1 and in the Movie I Choose You do Ash and Pikachu get attacked by Spearow and immediately after are presented with Ho-Oh. Nice theory DexBNimble ;)
Alternatively one of them died in Pikachu's attack and it was resurrected as ho-oh
For the longest time, I actually used to think that the Ho-Oh seen in the first episode of the anime _was_ a Fearow...
glad im not the only one!
Same
I thought it was a moltres when I first seen it
really ???
😂 me too I was like what's so special
Ho-oh should revive Gary's Radicate into a legendary Rat type Pokemon.
+batman81022 It should revive the Dunesparce line in general.
Sozin
What do you mean by that?
Dunesparce needs the increase in power.
+Sozin they need to give him an evo line.
Ho-oh revived Raticate into Arceus
5:15 "Slightly bigger"?
Fearrow is 3'11" tall, and weighs 38 kgs.
Ho-oh is is 12'06" tall, and weighs 199 kgs.
Bigger? Yes. SLIGHTLY? I don't think so.
Ok bud
That's irrelevant. If you're talking about this theory in the context of whether or not it's viable. You compare the actual creatures.
Frank, when you think about it, almost all the sprites are nearly the same size.
That Ho Ohs me money
Nice one👌
*cough* natewantstobattle *cough*
How much
+Sjono You win the internet sir
LOL
Also most Pokemon evolutions still maintain some type of root word to connect them example piCHU
spearow
fearow
ho-oh
its OW not OH
+PerilOfTheSkyWings SnowDayGnar You get the point
lmao this nigga commented just to make a totally unnecessary correction
Except the show was created in Japan, and the Japanese root "Oni" in Spearow and Fearow is not part of Ho-oh's Japanese name.
They should of gave Ho-Oh it's own movie.
🙂👍🏻
They listened to you 🙏
I also thought for a very long time that Ho-oh was the "God" type Pokemon.
Gg
Well Arceus is the god Pokemon
Lugia
Well I wish ho oh was the pokemon god because I don’t like arceus and ho oh is my favorite pokemon

why the hell does farfetched just chill out with celery
its actually a leek
...stil weird though
they may never leek that info
+ICy Gold I have always wondered tbh
is some kind of mythical creature in some culture

bartek ostrowski and they both are immortal ho-oh never dies and ash died 7 times throughout the series and he always revives.
Pokemon Dictionary: Ho-oh: It's a Pokemon that's name is backwards after the dash; Ho-oH
hhooo... ooohh 😂
Yoshi a pokemon? I'll be looking forward to hearing about that one.
+13KuriMaster Hope you enjoy it I`m in it :)
Jack The Jack OK. :)
+13KuriMaster Ikr? I just started thinking about it when he said it and I can see something being made out of it tbh xD
Think your comment was autocorrected
+13kurimaster he evolves into bowser
My theory is that Ho oh was the king of the sparrows in episode one when pikachu fucked up all those sparrows. He's the evolved version of fearow and came out if the tree to revive it's sparrows. Or all the sparrows souls combined together into a Ho oh.

actually mew have birth to mewtwo look in the burned mansion also in real life doby the sheep clone had to be give birth to live.
***** Ohh now that you mention it, I remember that :o
so, maybe Ho-oh existed from Ash??
+TinchoX There's a tree called Ash, it comes in Red Ash, Blue Ash, Green Ash and Indigo Ash.

+ProtoMario obviously a fearow
proto theory mega pokemon do not need keystones

The fact that Ash was attacked by an enormous group of Spearow/Fearow at the very beginning of the series also makes this theory VERY interesting.
Ho-Oh was actually the first display of a Swalot
+Shiny Swalot I wish XD
+PokeMaster547 me too
Me too
#SwalotForSmash Seriously, he would be a great character for SSB.
+Shiny Swalot your so obessed with that piece of crap pokemon...
When I was younger I saw a fearow and thought it was ho-oh
fearow (almost sounds like pharoh)
ho-oh is a legendary

rainbow parrot?? haha u could've said ho oh
If it was game theorist he would have said, "Ho Oh with out a DOUBT was originally a Fearow!"
+Josney 26 They have never stated their theories were fact, they have "But hey, that's just a theory....a game theory, thanks for watching" at the end for a reason.
+Lazy Canadian (Johnny Smallman) like anyone actually listens to that

It seems to me like that pokemon was a fearow but nintendo might of made a mistake unless ho oh was really second gen coming out just saying that nintendo got the ho oh idea then teally fast decided to make a gen two.
Why was fearow golden or looked like a golden spearow hey its an idea for fearow s and spearows third evolution.
I think I solved it,
since ho-oh is a phoenix and it is restoring fallen Pokemon and blessing them with power,

They have the same details too! Their orange and gold and a bit of yellow and white
+Pumpkinmaster77 I thought ho oh was a fearow the first ep
Wobbuffet doing the dab in the background.
Also in the first episode of the anime, Ash has some problems with a pack of Spearows and a Fearow, and by the end of the episode he sees what he thought was Ho-Oh.
The question is what we're suicune raikou and entei before they were revived
3 eevees
+MayoMan man what? how?
+Dev The Hippie Read the theory
Sir Pikachu where? Last time i checked when bell tower burned down (said in the show) suicune, raikou and entei burned to death and got brought back to life by Ho-Oh. If they came from eevees then somebody lieing. If they came from eevees then Ho-Oh cant bring pokemon to life or back to life
Sir Pikachu and in the game it said the tower burned down and they went down with it
Good job! Your FEAROW evolved into HO-OH!
Why is charmeleon red unlike his prevolution and evolution plz do this theory
I would assume it's a puberty situation. he turns red and eventually sheds that skin when it evolves
I think it's turning to red because it been designed like this -_-
Hey it seems or looke like maybe it was a fearow ash saw then nintendo decided really fast and quickly thought " hey its ho oh or the idea of a second gen two but why was fearow gold unless that was ho oh but where did he came from?like we could of turned into gen three or four or really fast skipping gen two you feel me lol?

This actually makes sense ....my hats off to you dude .....the production quality....i know its hard ...keepup the good work$_$
Lol, "a Phoenix, or penis, rises with the sun ", lol, hahahaha
+BAZZ B Awh, a little aspiring 12 year old SJW cant take a joke. You're such An Hero bro.
+Førehead! tø The Phan Parade Øut Bøy Right? He would be such an hero to his friends lol.
All hail king chicken dicks
The Gospel of Grant morning wood is real thing!!!!
+Enderquaza aaa Why Rayquaza?
+ROBLOX Attack on Titan BECAUSE IT'S RAQUAZA!
***** I am right. thank you.
maybe a sudden evolution of Fearow hm just like Diancie ...
It was Peeko
Thank you for showing the list of Pokemon that were cut from Gen 1! After seeing that, I went and looked it up for myself! I've been trying to find out for YEARS how it was that I actually encountered a Raikou in Yellow version way back before Gen 2 ever even came out. Still have no idea how the glitch activated and have been looking for an explanation forever.
looks like they designed it to be ferrow's evolution. then they cut it and were like, fuck it lets make it a legendary instead.
its funny you mentioned that. in gen2 I threw a master ball at a fearow thinking it was a ho oh . biggest mistake ever.
Maybe Ho-Oh was gonna be Moltres until Moltres came along
That was my thought
yeah, that makes sense!
That's even what ash said in the second episode of Pokemon
TheCosmaticGamer Well, the second generation was never going to exist until high demand came, so Moltres probably just didn't exist and they made ho-oh into second generation because he didn't have as solid as a color as the others. Sorry if this was to long XD
Moltres was supposedly going to be arcanine but the devs changed coz its wierd that 2 birds and 1 dog as the 3 elements so they changed it then became Moltres
The Phoenix was a Phoenix before it burst into flames. Ho-Oh is the rainbow bird, an amalgam of the legendary bird trio. It's really that simple.
OR.
I find it kinda interesting, that Ho-Oh makes an appearance in the very first episode of the Pokémon anime show.
if Ho-oh can revive the dead back to life then doesn't that mean that he revived Ash back to life ??? because Ash did see Ho-oh after he woke up in one of the first episodes
+leon323 ash din't die
+Legolas Greenleaf how do you know ??
leon323 dude, fainting is one thing, dieing is another
Maybe everybody thought he fainted but he'really died
leon323 why would the show hide something form us? those fuking theories...
i watch your videos because of the comment section voice impression you do! OMG SO SPOT ON
I really wish you'd stop doing the "But Proto!" bit, because that's probably more annoying that if people actually said that kind of stuff in the comments, which I don't really see happen that often in your comments
KRX50 I agree
He does that so people won’t argue his points, by trying to make them feel dumb if they did say that
@@thomasavila7593 yes, but it's an annoying habit still
But KRX50...!
You are annoying 😝😝😝😝😝
ProtoMario - Also in episode 1 of Pokemon, Ash and Pikachu were attacked by Spearow. After the climax, he see's Ho-oh. Not sure if it means anything, but it's cool to see that the same evolution line that caused so much pain for him in the beginning actually brings hope.
where did all pokemon come from including acreus
@@syedrafayhussain6481 oml thank you for the reply, made me laugh
There's an episode in season 1 with bill the pc guy worth a watch
BUT PROTO! WHERE'S MY POKEMANS?
He showed Pokemon
The basis of Ho-oh pheonix theme is not that it dies and is reborn itself. But Ashes journey dies and gets reborn into a new generation since he sees Ho-oh at the start of each new region.
In the pokedex entries:
It will reveal itself before a pure-hearted Trainer by shining its bright, rainbow-colored wings.
Woah, feathers on their WINGS? You cracked the case
Fear-ow....Ho-oh... similar names. It's like they almost called Ho-oh, hope-oh
Ho-oh is the actual name for tge Japanese phoenix creature. The name was not invented by Pokemon.
I just sort of stumbled onto these theory videos and after watching a few of them, I really want to watch the show now. The story sounds amazing.
Fearow looks quite old and scruffy to me (look at that bent beck). Sorta how I imagine that a phoenix would look like just before it's about to die and "reincarnate".
I feel like torkoal is evolution of a mutated fire type squirtle from an unrevealed region
Ferrow mega evolved into ho-oh permanently
Great vid Proto keep it up I have high respect for you.
maybe ho oh is the mega evolution of fearow
Sounds pretty farfetch'd
exactly what I was thinking I mean now we know that mega evolution is a thing could be what happend
+Nicholas Peterman....ditto lol
Except ho-oh has a completely different story arch. Mega evolutions are this bull crap they shoehorned into the lore.
Pokemon are turning into digimon slowly
+SetzarothTV because Digimon has always been better.
Pokemon Theory: What Was lugia Originally?
A tirtouga
second comment. i have an idea to a theory: how long can a pokemon battle???
Forever... It was in a gen one glitch.
+Sebastian Jensen For as many Power Points it can use before killing itself with Struggle. It would be interesting to find which scenario of battle could produce the most rounds. (Technically in some games you could have a battle last forever by having a Ditto battle a Ditto, look up the Transform Paradox)
+Andrew Fish (Werdnae) Buy gen one glitch.
+Colonel Awesome (Saturn) Ohh I remember that xD.
Wait...how was it again?
TinchoX Ditto uses transform which turns itself into the other Ditto which resets the move transform's PP to 5. Then the other Ditto uses transform which turns it into Ditto which resets the move transform's PP to 5. Rinse and repeat.
You know that in the movie with lucario, you see mew transforming into ho-oh.
Nicolai Bonde yeah but mew is one of the only two Pokemon that can learn transform
But Proto! Ho-Oh is a BIRD :D
Stupid comments FTW
You are my favorite RUclipsr!
I know what Ho oh is............................................. ...................OMG ITS A POKEMAN
Rich Nb your the 🐐
Awesome content, you got a new subscriber.
My Ho-oh theory:
What I was thinking when ash and Pickachu were attacked by spearows one evolved into a feorow and got caught in a fire made by a lighting bolt and turned into a Phoenix..
Mr.Walrus05 no in season 2 ep 1 ash was attacked by a fearow and that was the spearow he hit with a rock then it evolved
Mr.Walrus05 BTW pikachu used thunder
+PFF lol The move "Thunderbolt" is a mistranslation. It's supposed to be "Lightningbolt". But, it was actually a good thing it was mistranslated, because it never would have fit in the move box as " Lightningbolt". (In Japanese, thunder and !ightning are the same thing. No wonder it was mistranslated.)
Emerald Cruncher
No one was questioning the move name translation
This is a really good theory dude good job! I subscribe! :-D
Did you know Arcanine was suppose to be a legendary Pokemon in Gen 1? Arcanine was going to be part of the Legendary trio alongside Articuno and Zapdos but they made Arcanine a normal Pokemon and switched it to Moltres.
I always thought of Lugia as the last evolution of togepi's line.
I agree it was originally fearow. The first time I saw it I thought that was the one Ash saw in the first episode that the pokedex couldn't identify.
Yeah that's what I was thinking
This is actually incredibly believable. I always found the legend about Entei, Suicune, and Raikou originally being Flareon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon pretty probable.
proto I believe your theory because in the first gem episodes you see ho-oh in the beginning of the show I believe I'll have to watch them again.
Quote -ProtoMario they both have"feathers on their wings" Haha, the only living creature that comes to mind that doesn't have feathers would be the bat (not including insects, reptiles and extinct creatures.)
A Mega-evolution of Fearow that occurred naturally and stayed mega.
/end
Theory: Pikachu killed one of the Spearows in Episode 1. Maybe HoHo isn't the reincarnation of Fearow, but the evolution of a dead Spearow, which is why we saw HoHo at the end of the episode.
I think Ho-oh appearing in the first episode of the show backs up the "He was cut" thing. Also, the whole reviving/protecting thing, too. That was the episode where Pikachu nearly died. And Ho-oh protected him. Or maybe revived him(possible he died for a short amount of time).
+Damon Jordan Tis explaining pikachus unatural large amount of power
Glad to see Ho-Oh getting some love
Ho-oh is just a Fearoh that dropped the hottest album with the most fire beats of all time
This might not make much sense, but I have something to add on to the theory. The sounds at the end of Spearow, Fearow, and Ho-oh's names are similar.
I never noticed fearow and ho oh look similar, but now you mentioned it... :O
That's actually a good theory I never thought about it ;)
In the first episode Ho-Oh did appear after Ash and Pikachu's fight with that big flock of Spearow so I buy this...
I was in middle school I think when pokemon came out in the us. I like ur idea on it. sounds legit. lol
Death and rebirth. "It all comes together " gnoggin
You know, I have this thought that Tropius was meant to be the secret split evolution of Bayleef.
BUT Proto, please do a but proto compilation! Please! put all together please!!!!
I really enjoyed this theory.
Pokemon didn't even existed when Yoshi was created IMO, it was planned to be in the first game, but due to many technical issues it was left and later introduced in Super Mario Worls
Great video and theory
ho-oh is thanksgiving dinner ..
When I saw the Golden Ho-oh in the very first episode of the anime, I immediately thought, "That's the god pokemon!"
your theory opens up a new possible theory... what if the fearow that attacked ash evolved our changed thanks to pikachus thunderbolt attack? it's not exactly fire but could have caused the trees to burn
Ho-Oh is M. Night Shamylan in disguise. WHAT A TWIST!
I could see that, especially how Ho-Oh did appear after Ash's incident with the Spearow flock in the first episode allllll the way back in Gen 1.
Can't believe no ones mentioned the Spearow - Fearow - Ho Oh name parallel.
Its obvious Ho-Oh has Yellow so its obviously a Pikachu in disguise
Spear" oh "
Fear " oh "
Ho " oh "
It was a Fearow before.
