Remember in the first movie when Ash went to the cloning room to save Pikachu and sort of went into the cloning machine. Maybe instead the the machine not registering Ash it actually cloned him later on. The Ash clone might have taken the Pikachu clone and went on adventures in some regions while the real Ash and Pikachu went and adventures in other regions. Mind blown (O_O)
I think it's quite possible that Ash is a clone of red because they're really similar but I think that Red's father was Giovanni and when Red died Giovanni cloned Red and the clone became known as Ash who had exactly the same traits as Red but looked slightly different due to mutations taking place which also might prove why Ash is immune to electricity and why is appearance is different to Red's but his style is similar. Or another theory could be that Ash is Red's son and Giovanni is Ash's grandfather.

It's time for a brand new Pokemon Theory! This time, I decided to do one of the more outlandish and crazy theories, but I still think there's some entertainment to be found in covering something so ridiculous :D Hopefully most of the people who watch the video see this comment, but I've got to apologize for how some parts of the video might seem a little bit rushed or skipped over. While writing the script/editing the video, I wanted to go over the theory pretty generally and try to fit all of the info I could into the video in under 15 minutes. Unfortunately, in doing that I feel like I might have made the video seem too fast at times, and skipped over some of the more important facts and theories (Like why exactly it isn't likely that Ash would have been cloned from Red). Hopefully it's not too bad though :/ (It might be my least favorite theory video i've made, but we'll see how I feel looking back on it though, I guess). A quick shout out to Anime Andrew for the inspiration for the theory! If you're reading this, Anime Andrew, then you should post your theory! It was a pretty neat read, and even though I didn't take too much from it in the video, I feel like it's different enough from my info that it would be cool to post it in the comments!

What if instead of Giovanni being Ash's father Ash's father was Red. I mean Ash's father is missing, Red has disappeared and is on top of Mount Silver in Johto. Ash's mom said in episode two of the original anime about how it took some time for Ash's father to get to Viridian City. Red was busy in the forest catching pokemon to complete the pokedex which is already completed in the anime. Ash' mother did say that Ash's father was a great trainer and im pretty sure Oak mentions Ash's father at least once to. Because Red won the league and completed the Pokedex for Oak.
Brayden Fuller Um... Dude in the manga it states that Crystal (Crys) completed the rest of the PokeDex, while some trainer could of caught the legendary pokemon, Red and Blue could of just completed the Kanto PokeDex.
Ash does have some kind of super strength being able to jump as high as he can in dangerous situations and picking up heavy pokemon with ease, and living through electrical shocks that is proven to kill a real person in real life. XD
Nerd alert, I'M here. In fact, 90% of people struck by lightning survive, and 70% suffer long term consequences. So yes, it is possible he died, but the fact that the cloning failed with Amber2 really makes this a stretch. The odds of him dying during that attack on all pidgeots are HEAVILY stacked against him, and while the odds of him being injured are still high, they're not as high.
Read Nin the voltage on pikachu's lightning is different and last longer than lighting ppl get stuck with in the sky the main reason people can live threw it is that its so fast to do a lot of damage to you, u blink and u mess the lightning hitting someone put you can blink quiet a few times and still see pika shocking whoever. from what i learned in my physics class if the voltage is high or low you have a good chance of living but if its somewhere in the middle not to strong not to weak your almost guaranteed death, cant remember the exact numbers
Riko Hitsuya I agree, although it could have been the mythical Pokemon Victini. Don't forget that in Victini and Reshiram, Victini helped power up Tepig and Scraggy making for a powerful Ember and Headbutt attack. Victini also gave Ash the legitness he needed to jump to safety with the two Deerling and Pikachu with him as well as showing him the way out of the maze he was in when he finally got himself to safety. Maybe Victini was helping Ash all along to survive all this. Maybe (message for Gar1onvia about PokeSins - Here Comes The Squirtle Squad) that's how Ash can jump out of pitfalls and makes it to towns despite a 100-ft edadly drop into a river. Plus, there was one time where Ash clearly died in Team Plasma and the Awakening Ceremony (my favorite episode of all for reasons I wish to keep to myself) when Pikachu kept Thunderbolting Ash over and over. Ash clearly died and Pikachu decided to lay down on Ash, but then Ash ended up LIVING! Who knows, that could have either been Giovanni or Victini.
Misty was burned by vulpix and was just fine. So the "superior strength" thing falls through there for me. Also, who's to say that Ash ISN'T getting older? Just because he seems to be 10 forever in the English dub, doesn't mean that he isn't ageing normally in the Japanese dub and that the whole thing is just lost in translation due to his never seeming to change physically. Perhaps the folks dubbing it just thought that no one would pay much attention and that the "10 year old" Ash would just appeal more to young children. If they were to say "14 year old Ash Ketchum starts his new jouney in a new region" does anyone really believe that he would then appeal as well to their target audience? And Giovanni being his dad? Just doesn't seem to hold up to me. Perhaps his father passed away, but being a show geared towards children, those dubbing the show thought to leave that out so they could avoid explaining the concept of death to kids. And maybe his folks just split. It happens. But again, they may have that it better to leave such a thing out to better avoid having to explain to children why mommy and daddy couldn't get along. But it's just another prime example of the things that are lost in translation, I guess.

Buddy do you remember saying something about Serena's flashback? But did you see that Serena was the same age (Maybe she a few months off, that explains why she is. taller) as Ash? No. You overlooked it. And in Pokemon X&Y it shows Serena as the same or a few moths older that Ash. She is tall because of a growth spurt or something or Ash is just naturally short. that's why his eye color was different from the unova region and geovani probably figured out how to give him intellect by the 6th region, kalos,and why he rarely talks about the other regions he explored, and mostly remembers the region he is exploring and Kanto, the place before he was cloned.
The second theory would work if Red is actually Ash's Father who we never see. It could be that Red went through his journey, then settled down for a bit with Ash's mom, and then left again.

In many of its Pokedex entries it says that one who sees Ho-Oh is granted eternal happiness. Eternal happiness, maybe Ash can now live forever? Or his "eternal happiness" was being a Pokémon master, champion of all regions, and meeting/catching 'em all. Anyways, your theory was nonsense like mine, but it can make sense in a way. :) Why Ash changes his hat through different regions? Fashion or the producers are tired of the old hat.
My theory on why Ash doesn't grow old: Remember in the 4th Movie when Ash and Celebi travelled through time to meet with young Prof. Samuel Oak? My theory is that by time traveling with Celebi, it somehow makes that person exist outside of time, and therefore, age extremely slowly.
Nikko , I see a flaw . He's 10 at the start of his kanto journey and it took a year to finish . If yours is correct he should be 11 , but in black and white it was confirmed he was 10
I think the clone world is oppiste of the real world beacause Ash is strong in the real world and know alot about pokemons and Ash in the colne world was the oppistre.Then Serina beat Ash many time in the Clone world and in the real world Serina never beat Ash yet.
if ash is a clone, that would explain why he is still 10 but it wouldn't explain why everybody else around him doesn't age. And also the coma theory is a bit far fetched since he ran into misty before he got shocked by lightning, without asking her name (meaning that he shouldn't have known who she was and wouldn't have become a major part in his adventure)
This theory only makes since if you watch Doctor Who and know what the main character is. Maybe the people in pokemon is a species that has come from time lords. It explain why pokemon fit in pokeballs. They're bigger on the inside, why ash appears not to age, and why ash can survive lightning, fire, and other things, why there's no normal animals, and how there is a time traveling pokemon.
Well this is a different world with an obviously different cloning process and different laws of science so I wouldn’t be surprised if the effects of the cloning process was also different.
If I remember correctly, Ash and friends were in Lavender Town exactly one year after he started his journey. Also, if we're counting the movies, in the short "Pikachu and Pichu", Ash says that that day is the anniversary of the start of his journey.
a theory i believe in is that the anime is a bedtome story, off the bat this explains why ash does not age, and explains a scene from one of the gen 4 movies on it, with a little girl and a mother, who have been seen in other episodes after this movie, not only does it explain why he isnt aging, but how he can seemingly survive almost everything without major harm, as in the electric shock in the first episode.
What about Ash being sucked into MewTwo's cloning device during the first movie? He was at least partially connected as so a clone could have resulted from that.

Jesse James and Meowth took far worse spankings from pokemon than Ash ever did. almost every episode team rocket gets blasted through the statosphere, and lands back on earth alive. so thats thousands of volts + massive landing impact for team rocket. lets face it the cloned units being tougher is just silly when the majority of humans in the pokemon world are shown to be half kryptonian. all you need to ask is, DO OTHER PEOPLE LIKE MISTY AND BROCK AGE?
My thoughts are that when Ash saw Ho-oh in episode 1, I'm pretty sure that in one of the pokedex entries of Ho-Oh, it says that Ho-Oh grants wishes upon seeing it, perhaps Ash's wish was for his Pokemon journey to never end, he probably wasn't wishing for LITERALLY living forever, but Ho-Oh thought he meant that he wished to live forever?
The only theory I have is about nurse joy and officer jenny, which is a bit dark. But it explains why they look the same. They a part pokémon, I don't really have any facts based on this, outside their appearance . But I imagine there was a traffic accident, which injured one or more pokémons, one of them was violently scratching in the air, so while a nurse tried to help it, an officer helped by holding it. Which lead to the both of them getting scratched, and a bit of blood got into both of their scratches, and there by making them both part pokémon, even if it's just a tiny part, it was enough so whenever they got kids, they always looked alike, just like pokémons.
Better theory: Is Ash a character for an educational TV show aimed at 5-10 year olds that does yearly movies designed for 5-25 year olds in order to get people to become pokemon trainers? My theory is that whatever replaces the military in the pokemon world is just trying to recruit Trainers as their defence force. The 6 pokemon limit is so you can have loyal weapons because yes, a team of 50 would wreck, if they're not loyal they're not as efficient. The show makes it look like being a trainer is the greatest thing ever. Everyone is nice, you get to travel across the world, sweet gamifying gyms everywhere to keep you from going bored, many pets you can learn about, free healthcare, etc. Like, look at the pokedex in the show! It tells us, the real world audience pretty useless information. But what about the pokemon audience? To them, that just tells them what wondrous things their world has for them. But here's another part. Why isn't everyone a Pokemon Trainer? Because it's just like how the army tells you that signing up will have so many benefits like high pay, reserved educational positions, work ethic building, etc. But people in our world don't take those options, why not? Many reasons but they don't have as much marketing. No one goes "Yeah, I want to be data entry man for a legal firm!" but people still end up there because military propaganda doesn't work on them, they found their own path. The thing is, there's a good chance that the anime (and maybe even the games) are just propaganda to get trainers to enlist willingly, just like how most nation's defence forces have show off days at schools to tempt kids down that path. Pokemon is propaganda by the military to entice people to become trainers!
This theory is still plausible, for even though he wouldnt age, he would still have the memories of everything before switching to his new body, and he would see everyone as aging, and his "dad: could make the clone grow with them to keep up a normal life for him and erase him coming to see his dad and makes hime want to come back and see him. He could still get a partner, the partner would just never know what giovanni is doing. So in short, his dad would have have to genetically advance his new body, into making everyone think he ages evan thoughe he technically doesnt, to maintain a "normal" life.
Ash and most of the rest of Pallet Town withstood an electric attack in the first episode, so you wouldn't need to be a clone to survive a pokemon attack in their world. As for the clone being unstable and degrading after only a year, clones don't degrade. They either happen successfully or they break down prior to birth. Also clones aren't born at any age but infancy, just like normal creatures.
The inability, rather, the "command" of not swapping out pokemon can't be true. He has brought back Charizard on multiple occasions and he brought back pokemon from previous generations to fight in the Diamond/Pearl pokemon league. (Which is how he has a Quilava instead of a Cyndaquil BTW)
Question: if Ash goes to a new region every new year, then why don't his friends and acquaintances age? Let's instantly transfer the topic to my theory, or rather Ash's fan story. According to my idea, Ash was not born in Pallet Town, but in another city in another region without generations. In the game Pokémon Rangers: Shadow of Almia, a separate region is mentioned - Almia. In its view there is a city that, as it were, is not considered to really exist - the city of Runo. It is surrounded by high mountains, through which it is almost impossible to cross, and from the sea side it is closed by a coral reef. At the time of creation, I asked myself - where do the legendary Pokemon go? I mean, they travel the world and all, but there must be at least some place that they can call their home? The answer is: they went to the same city. And then there was an immediate inconsistency - in the film about Huppa (I forgot its name) it was said that if many legendary Pokemon are in one place, this will lead to a bend in space and time. However, the place where the aforementioned actions took place received the influence of the aura of the legends too harshly, and the city of Runo absorbed the energy of these creatures for centuries. Naturally, this also affected the people living in that place. The aura of the legends allowed them to receive incredible strength in the form of extremely rapid development (seriously, babies 2 months old, are able to discern the world in the right light, calmly speak, think and move), incredible strength and endurance. This explains all the incredible actions that Ash got up to throughout the anime. By the way about him. According to my idea, he was born not alone, but together with a sister, similar in character to him, but completely unlike him in appearance. The father of the family was a professor that gives starter Pokémon to rookie trainers. He died on a mountain expedition the very next day after the birth of the twins, and Delia invented the story of her father, who abandoned the family, so as not to hurt the psyche of the children (they, in fact, knew what happened to him, but they pretended not to know it. Ash used this tale himself, but only in order not to cause compassion from his friends). Both twins were Guardians (more details in the answer to the commentary). So. Ash and his sister Mia lived happily in the same town. There they worked as the leaders of the unofficial doubles stadium. Often the twins played with other children, creating unknown game with their powers. The kids knew that the keepers were obliged to hide their powers, but they ignored the rules, which, in the end, played a cruel joke with them. When Ash and Mia were 5 years old, they, along with their mother, went to the outside world, so to speak. All day they had fun and played, and in a huge shopping center they ran away from their mother somewhere deep in the building. In the evening, on the same day, a fire alarm went off in the shopping center. Everyone, except our twins, quickly and efficiently left the building. Ash and Mia, in turn, did not know how to act in such a situation and just ran in panic throughout the building until the fire completely surrounded them. Iron and wood pieces of the building, heated to near melting point, fell on the poor children. They were able to dodge, but pieces of metal grazed the kids' cheeks, leaving burned burns in the form of lightning on them. Then Ash discovered a way out of the trap into which they had driven themselves. They got out of the circle of fire (superhuman dexterity) and almost ran to the exit, but then a huge number of smoldering beams fell on Mia. Ash tried to pull her out from under the rubble, but the firefighter himself pulled him out of the building and took him to his mother. Mia was never found (spoiler alert: she was able to get out of the fire), which is why she was officially considered dead. Ash took this loss hard. Well, Delia, so as not to remind her son of the loss, moved with him to the city of Pallet Town. In the forest, in a clearing of white brook lilies, a wreath of which Mia always wore on her head, Ash placed his sister's grave, to which he returns after each region. But before traveling, he was in a state of invisibility. Everything for him happened as in a foggy dream. Only the Pokémon that hid with Ash in the roots of a tree and inspired him to become a trainer were able to get out of this state. Here's a story. Moreover, each new generation has its own special elemental forces - from ordinary, for example, the forces of Water, to completely rare, for example, the forces of Feelings. The strongest element is Light. It was this element that the first keepers possessed, and Ash also possesses this power. The souls of the guardians, unlike ordinary people, having the appearance of a tiny round star, have energy around the soul itself, symbolizing their magic. Moreover, the energy has the form of either a drop, or a heart, or something else - it all depends on the element. Guardians have their own achievements. One of them is getting wings. The wings symbolize complete control over magic. Their size depends on the strength of the elements. Interesting fact: the wings of the Guardians of the Light have claws on the folds, like the wings of dragons. Before receiving, these claws slightly injure the skin while the person is sleeping, which is why he constantly tosses and turns (for why does Ash constantly almost fall out of bed?). The second achievement is getting a special form. Many guardians who achieved receiving wings learned that they now need to receive their elemental transformation. Only a few succeeded. The problem with receiving was that the keeper must understand why he was fighting at the moment when he was literally between life and death. It is then that the power is cut in full force. Ash could also just be a clone of Giovanni himself, maybe because he wants an heir, or maybe he wants to later replace Ash's conciousness with his own when Giovanni dies, maybe splicing in the experience Ash gained on his journeys. Hey, doesn't that sound reasonable? Also, in that case Jesse, James and Meowth would fit in even better as they would have to clearly be oblivious to their "protection" task - they are in fact meant to be another training impetus, but also serve the purpose of monitoring Ash's progress while they are themselves unaware of this.
i watched the anime up to the end of Unova and many of the people from the previous regions reappear and all haven't aged, my theory on this is that all of the adventures happen in the span of 1 or 2 years so non of them look like they have aged...I may be wrong but looking at it, it seems that way :)
Ash's age can't be brought into any theory because no one around him ages (Unless it's one of the coma/dreaming ones). Him being a clone doesn't explain the lack of aging of everyone around him.

There are so many ways the theory could work to some short of level. Say he cloned Red the best trainer ever he would of taken some of Red's DNA and put it in a donors egg. The donor would have to be the same species as the animal you want to clone so, Ash's mom volunteered or was kidnapped by Geovonie to take an egg out of her, put the Red's DNA in the egg, putting the egg back in Ash's mom, making her pregnant with Ash.... AKA Reds clone. The clone would grow up like a normal kid. allowing for the flashbacks to be possible. Cloning like this has been done on lab rats so it's possible that could be true, highly unlikely though.

Here's a summary for you: Ash was created to be a human-Pokémon hybrid, with the resistances to Pokémon attacks but the ability to function flawlessly in human society AS a human; he was probably created to serve as a communication link between humans and Pokémon (which kind of rules out Giovanni as a creator, but whatever). He started as a baby and progressed normally until he turned ten, when he got Pikachu - and the first serious electrocution short-circuited his body's ability to develop. He still has all the skills the cloning intended for him to have, but he can never grow up.

Reasons why the theory doesn't work could also includes the following 1) Brock who has traveled with Ash for generations hasn't aged either. Even Gary made an appearance in gen 4 and looked the same age. 2) In gen 2 Ash started out with a lot of his gen 1 pokemon and only sent them away in the middle of it so how can the command of not switching his pokemon work there. 3) When Ash reaches varidian city for his 8th Gym battle in gen 1 he says it took him an year so that means Ash already delayed the clones life. In fact after the Kanto league Ash went to the Orange Islands with all of his same pokemon. 4) in order for this theory to be true we would have to assume that geovani stopped researching for a more durable clone after he made the first one couldn't he make a clone that aged normally or didn't have the flaws the original clone did.
Here's a thought: What if the pokemon series just takes a way shorter time than it seems to? Maybe it's all happened over several months as opposed to several years, and that's why Ash is still 10-- because it hasn't even been a year since he first went on his journey. Anyone else think so? Yeah? No?
Well that may explain why he doesn't remember all the different battle techniques he learned, like the moves from the times he was traveling with May and Dawn, and also why he doesn't remember which pokemon has what weekness, like when he battles against Gengar after he returns to his homeland.

Considering Ash's memory suddenly gets lost every Anime of Pokemon and his only memory is Pikachu and the fact he's from Pallet town, I would believe that he either is brainwashed or is cloned every year. Same with Pikachu.
For second part of the 'Ash is a clone' theory to work remotely logically, I suppose Ash could have died as a small child, possibly due to Giovanni's carelessness and thus the man cloned him. If he DID get their son killed, it would also potentially explain why he's no longer with Ash's mother (What was her name?? Deliah?), assuming they were together. Or he could've been a clone of Giovanni himself. They DO look alike other than hair colour. I don't think Ash actually IS a clone, though, I was just working out possibilities in my head. ^-^U
Mr Buddy the second cloning theory sounds more convincing, and honestly one thing that isnt considered in your video, is that red could have been the champion before ash was born.. ritchie makes no sense to be the base for the reasons you stated, whereas if red existed in the pokemon universe, it would never have been said if he was older than ash, so its safe to assume he is in this world,
Mr. Buddy you can be right that their keeping him the same age though they never acknowledge if he is getting older. But watching an old episode they made a comment. In the gathering of Four episode where Ash reconnects with Pikachu, Squirtle, Bulbasaur and Charizard in preparation of his 3rd and final battle with Brandon the Battle Pyramid King he said alot has happened throughout the years since catching them. So the show acknowledged the passage of time unlike I believe the Simpsons have done. So maybe its the leap year joke he aged every 4 years out of the 20 its been on. During the battle with Brandon bulbasaur's vine whip was hurting him. When Charizard's flame thrower hit ash during their hanging out he Ash said that hurt. Which I believe was the only time he said that.
A couple of Pokemon Theories I have are how do Pokemon that requires traded evolve in the wild? I have seen slowing, Gengar and 1more I can not think offhand. Another question I always wondered is if some of his Pokemon he let go why havent he randomly come across them like Butterfree or Pidgeot? In the Johto league they showed a trainer from another region particiapting yet the Professors and Trainers have no information? Professors know of one another and study different fields of Pokemon but no gathering or passing along information of their region's unique ones? Then always wondered if Agatha is gary's grandmother since the parents are never showed and she mentioned knowing Professor Oak a long time ago.
Something i want to point out is with mewtwo. In mewtwo origins his voice was a guy and such, but in another movie with mewtwo its a girl this is where you meet mega mewtwo and she fights genesect well with that mewtwo does not remember ash at all which is strange so i know not all have a theory on this, but i thought maybe they created another mewtwo but a female version of him. I just had this on my mind because the mewtwo i would have thought would of remember ash from pokemon origins. This was just something that crossed my mind
idk if this theory actually makes sense, but there is something i would like to add... what if both, pikachu and ash were killed back than and due to that they must be cloned every time they visit a new region... they both keep their memories (that's why pikachu trusts him), but they lose all their previous experience (that could explain why pikachu lost to a low leveled snivy and that (few episodes later) ash was surprised as he could not have switched his pokemon after mean look was used, even though he had seen that move before)... but i don't think that he died back then... i mean honestly... it's an anime for 10 year olds... they banned an episode because of a gun... why should there be deaths of main characters?

Tbh about this aging thing from ash, i always believe it was a side effect from the first movie OR the thing with Ho-Oh, u know, eternal happiness? If he ages, then wouldnt he being unable to achieve his dream just because he failed to defeat the league(not the champion but for example, Tobias) and therefore wouldnt have the chance to become a 'pokemon master'? Ash is gay. I've always thought that Ash was suspiciously interested in Gary and suspiciously disinterested in girls. However, it's not just Gary: look at how he feels about Ritchie. He's awfully close to Brock too. And let's not forget "Ashley's" several crossdressing incidents. He doesn't really seem to mind them much. And that one time he actually kissed a girl (Melody) he didn't exactly enjoy it. It's just extremely hard for me to believe the animators aren't hinting at something with all that.

To be honest, I kinda feel like the romantic relationship theory is gonna be shut down. Have you seen the episode of the XY anime Under The Promise Tree? Serena says that it almost feels like Ash and Serena are on a date. Maybe you're next Pokemon theory should be if any one of the girls featured in the anime at any time should be Ash's girlfriend, even though this could very well be true. There have been little signs that Ash and Misty could be a couple and the same with him and Dawn, Iris and Serena. Although, it would be a good idea to mainly focus on Serena because of her mentioning dating (wish I could see the day)
Remember in the first movie when Ash went to the cloning room to save Pikachu and sort of went into the cloning machine. Maybe instead the the machine not registering Ash it actually cloned him later on. The Ash clone might have taken the Pikachu clone and went on adventures in some regions while the real Ash and Pikachu went and adventures in other regions. Mind blown (O_O)

I think it's quite possible that Ash is a clone of red because they're really similar but I think that Red's father was Giovanni and when Red died Giovanni cloned Red and the clone became known as Ash who had exactly the same traits as Red but looked slightly different due to mutations taking place which also might prove why Ash is immune to electricity and why is appearance is different to Red's but his style is similar. Or another theory could be that Ash is Red's son and Giovanni is Ash's grandfather.

It's time for a brand new Pokemon Theory! This time, I decided to do one of the more outlandish and crazy theories, but I still think there's some entertainment to be found in covering something so ridiculous :D
Hopefully most of the people who watch the video see this comment, but I've got to apologize for how some parts of the video might seem a little bit rushed or skipped over. While writing the script/editing the video, I wanted to go over the theory pretty generally and try to fit all of the info I could into the video in under 15 minutes.
Unfortunately, in doing that I feel like I might have made the video seem too fast at times, and skipped over some of the more important facts and theories (Like why exactly it isn't likely that Ash would have been cloned from Red). Hopefully it's not too bad though :/ (It might be my least favorite theory video i've made, but we'll see how I feel looking back on it though, I guess).

What if instead of Giovanni being Ash's father Ash's father was Red. I mean Ash's father is missing, Red has disappeared and is on top of Mount Silver in Johto. Ash's mom said in episode two of the original anime about how it took some time for Ash's father to get to Viridian City. Red was busy in the forest catching pokemon to complete the pokedex which is already completed in the anime. Ash' mother did say that Ash's father was a great trainer and im pretty sure Oak mentions Ash's father at least once to. Because Red won the league and completed the Pokedex for Oak.

Ash does have some kind of super strength being able to jump as high as he can in dangerous situations and picking up heavy pokemon with ease, and living through electrical shocks that is proven to kill a real person in real life. XD
Nerd alert, I'M here. In fact, 90% of people struck by lightning survive, and 70% suffer long term consequences. So yes, it is possible he died, but the fact that the cloning failed with Amber2 really makes this a stretch. The odds of him dying during that attack on all pidgeots are HEAVILY stacked against him, and while the odds of him being injured are still high, they're not as high.

Riko Hitsuya I agree, although it could have been the mythical Pokemon Victini. Don't forget that in Victini and Reshiram, Victini helped power up Tepig and Scraggy making for a powerful Ember and Headbutt attack. Victini also gave Ash the legitness he needed to jump to safety with the two Deerling and Pikachu with him as well as showing him the way out of the maze he was in when he finally got himself to safety. Maybe Victini was helping Ash all along to survive all this. Maybe (message for Gar1onvia about PokeSins - Here Comes The Squirtle Squad) that's how Ash can jump out of pitfalls and makes it to towns despite a 100-ft edadly drop into a river. Plus, there was one time where Ash clearly died in Team Plasma and the Awakening Ceremony (my favorite episode of all for reasons I wish to keep to myself) when Pikachu kept Thunderbolting Ash over and over. Ash clearly died and Pikachu decided to lay down on Ash, but then Ash ended up LIVING! Who knows, that could have either been Giovanni or Victini.

Misty was burned by vulpix and was just fine. So the "superior strength" thing falls through there for me. Also, who's to say that Ash ISN'T getting older? Just because he seems to be 10 forever in the English dub, doesn't mean that he isn't ageing normally in the Japanese dub and that the whole thing is just lost in translation due to his never seeming to change physically. Perhaps the folks dubbing it just thought that no one would pay much attention and that the "10 year old" Ash would just appeal more to young children. If they were to say "14 year old Ash Ketchum starts his new jouney in a new region" does anyone really believe that he would then appeal as well to their target audience? And Giovanni being his dad? Just doesn't seem to hold up to me. Perhaps his father passed away, but being a show geared towards children, those dubbing the show thought to leave that out so they could avoid explaining the concept of death to kids. And maybe his folks just split. It happens. But again, they may have that it better to leave such a thing out to better avoid having to explain to children why mommy and daddy couldn't get along. But it's just another prime example of the things that are lost in translation, I guess.

Now I'm gonna ruin everything with another theory, I believe Ash survived the electricity and the reason he is still 10 years old is.. Ho-Oh. Ho-Oh may not have existed in gen1, but Ash sees a flying bird Pokémon fly over him, nearby a rainbow. Ho-Oh is the Rainbow Pokémon. In many of its Pokedex entries it says that one who sees Ho-Oh is granted eternal happiness. Eternal happiness, maybe Ash can now live forever? Or his "eternal happiness" was being a Pokémon master, champion of all regions, and meeting/catching 'em all.

Maybe the people in pokemon is a species that has come from time lords. It explain why pokemon fit in pokeballs. They're bigger on the inside, why ash appears not to age, and why ash can survive lightning, fire, and other things, why there's no normal animals, and how there is a time traveling pokemon.

Well this is a different world with an obviously different cloning process and different laws of science so I wouldn’t be surprised if the effects of the cloning process was also different.
If I remember correctly, Ash and friends were in Lavender Town exactly one year after he started his journey. Also, if we're counting the movies, in the short "Pikachu and Pichu", Ash says that that day is the anniversary of the start of his journey.
a theory i believe in is that the anime is a bedtome story, off the bat this explains why ash does not age, and explains a scene from one of the gen 4 movies on it, with a little girl and a mother, who have been seen in other episodes after this movie, not only does it explain why he isnt aging, but how he can seemingly survive almost everything without major harm, as in the electric shock in the first episode.
What about Ash being sucked into MewTwo's cloning device during the first movie? He was at least partially connected as so a clone could have resulted from that.

The only theory I have is about nurse joy and officer jenny, which is a bit dark. But it explains why they look the same. They a part pokémon, I don't really have any facts based on this, outside their appearance . But I imagine there was a traffic accident, which injured one or more pokémons, one of them was violently scratching in the air, so while a nurse tried to help it, an officer helped by holding it. Which lead to the both of them getting scratched, and a bit of blood got into both of their scratches, and there by making them both part pokémon, even if it's just a tiny part, it was enough so whenever they got kids, they always looked alike, just like pokémons.
Better theory:
Is Ash a character for an educational TV show aimed at 5-10 year olds that does yearly movies designed for 5-25 year olds in order to get people to become pokemon trainers?
My theory is that whatever replaces the military in the pokemon world is just trying to recruit Trainers as their defence force. The 6 pokemon limit is so you can have loyal weapons because yes, a team of 50 would wreck, if they're not loyal they're not as efficient.
The show makes it look like being a trainer is the greatest thing ever. Everyone is nice, you get to travel across the world, sweet gamifying gyms everywhere to keep you from going bored, many pets you can learn about, free healthcare, etc.
Like, look at the pokedex in the show! It tells us, the real world audience pretty useless information. But what about the pokemon audience? To them, that just tells them what wondrous things their world has for them.
But here's another part. Why isn't everyone a Pokemon Trainer? Because it's just like how the army tells you that signing up will have so many benefits like high pay, reserved educational positions, work ethic building, etc. But people in our world don't take those options, why not? Many reasons but they don't have as much marketing. No one goes "Yeah, I want to be data entry man for a legal firm!" but people still end up there because military propaganda doesn't work on them, they found their own path. The thing is, there's a good chance that the anime (and maybe even the games) are just propaganda to get trainers to enlist willingly, just like how most nation's defence forces have show off days at schools to tempt kids down that path.

This theory is still plausible, for even though he wouldnt age, he would still have the memories of everything before switching to his new body, and he would see everyone as aging, and his "dad: could make the clone grow with them to keep up a normal life for him and erase him coming to see his dad and makes hime want to come back and see him. He could still get a partner, the partner would just never know what giovanni is doing. So in short, his dad would have have to genetically advance his new body, into making everyone think he ages evan thoughe he technically doesnt, to maintain a "normal" life.
Ash and most of the rest of Pallet Town withstood an electric attack in the first episode, so you wouldn't need to be a clone to survive a pokemon attack in their world.
As for the clone being unstable and degrading after only a year, clones don't degrade. They either happen successfully or they break down prior to birth. Also clones aren't born at any age but infancy, just like normal creatures.
The inability, rather, the "command" of not swapping out pokemon can't be true. He has brought back Charizard on multiple occasions and he brought back pokemon from previous generations to fight in the Diamond/Pearl pokemon league. (Which is how he has a Quilava instead of a Cyndaquil BTW)

Let's instantly transfer the topic to my theory, or rather Ash's fan story.
According to my idea, Ash was not born in Pallet Town, but in another city in another region without generations. In the game Pokémon Rangers: Shadow of Almia, a separate region is mentioned - Almia. In its view there is a city that, as it were, is not considered to really exist - the city of Runo. It is surrounded by high mountains, through which it is almost impossible to cross, and from the sea side it is closed by a coral reef. At the time of creation, I asked myself - where do the legendary Pokemon go? I mean, they travel the world and all, but there must be at least some place that they can call their home? The answer is: they went to the same city. And then there was an immediate inconsistency - in the film about Huppa (I forgot its name) it was said that if many legendary Pokemon are in one place, this will lead to a bend in space and time. However, the place where the aforementioned actions took place received the influence of the aura of the legends too harshly, and the city of Runo absorbed the energy of these creatures for centuries. Naturally, this also affected the people living in that place. The aura of the legends allowed them to receive incredible strength in the form of extremely rapid development (seriously, babies 2 months old, are able to discern the world in the right light, calmly speak, think and move), incredible strength and endurance. This explains all the incredible actions that Ash got up to throughout the anime. By the way about him. According to my idea, he was born not alone, but together with a sister, similar in character to him, but completely unlike him in appearance. The father of the family was a professor that gives starter Pokémon to rookie trainers. He died on a mountain expedition the very next day after the birth of the twins, and Delia invented the story of her father, who abandoned the family, so as not to hurt the psyche of the children (they, in fact, knew what happened to him, but they pretended not to know it. Ash used this tale himself, but only in order not to cause compassion from his friends). Both twins were Guardians (more details in the answer to the commentary). So. Ash and his sister Mia lived happily in the same town. There they worked as the leaders of the unofficial doubles stadium. Often the twins played with other children, creating unknown game with their powers. The kids knew that the keepers were obliged to hide their powers, but they ignored the rules, which, in the end, played a cruel joke with them. When Ash and Mia were 5 years old, they, along with their mother, went to the outside world, so to speak. All day they had fun and played, and in a huge shopping center they ran away from their mother somewhere deep in the building. In the evening, on the same day, a fire alarm went off in the shopping center. Everyone, except our twins, quickly and efficiently left the building. Ash and Mia, in turn, did not know how to act in such a situation and just ran in panic throughout the building until the fire completely surrounded them. They were able to dodge, but pieces of metal grazed the kids' cheeks, leaving burned burns in the form of lightning on them. Then Ash discovered a way out of the trap into which they had driven themselves. They got out of the circle of fire (superhuman dexterity) and almost ran to the exit, but then a huge number of smoldering beams fell on Mia. Interesting fact: the wings of the Guardians of the Light have claws on the folds, like the wings of dragons. Before receiving, these claws slightly injure the skin while the person is sleeping, which is why he constantly tosses and turns (for why does Ash constantly almost fall out of bed?).
The second achievement is getting a special form. Many guardians who achieved receiving wings learned that they now need to receive their elemental transformation. Only a few succeeded. The problem with receiving was that the keeper must understand why he was fighting at the moment when he was literally between life and death. It is then that the power is cut in full force.

I really thought this was going to involve the part in the first movie where Ash went into Mewtwo's cloning machine to get Pikachu back...
Ash could also just be a clone of Giovanni himself, maybe because he wants an heir, or maybe he wants to later replace Ash's conciousness with his own when Giovanni dies, maybe splicing in the experience Ash gained on his journeys.
Hey, doesn't that sound reasonable? Also, in that case Jesse, James and Meowth would fit in even better as they would have to clearly be oblivious to their "protection" task - they are in fact meant to be another training impetus, but also serve the purpose of monitoring Ash's progress while they are themselves unaware of this.
i watched the anime up to the end of Unova and many of the people from the previous regions reappear and all haven't aged, my theory on this is that all of the adventures happen in the span of 1 or 2 years so non of them look like they have aged...I may be wrong but looking at it, it seems that way :)
Ash's age can't be brought into any theory because no one around him ages (Unless it's one of the coma/dreaming ones). Him being a clone doesn't explain the lack of aging of everyone around him.
I'm not sure about the clone theory but Giovanni being ash's father would be cool. and it would explain how team rocket haven't been fired.

There are so many ways the theory could work to some short of level. Say he cloned Red the best trainer ever he would of taken some of Red's DNA and put it in a donors egg. The donor would have to be the same species as the animal you want to clone so, Ash's mom volunteered or was kidnapped by Geovonie to take an egg out of her, put the Red's DNA in the egg, putting the egg back in Ash's mom, making her pregnant with Ash.... AKA Reds clone. The clone would grow up like a normal kid. allowing for the flashbacks to be possible.
Cloning like this has been done on lab rats so it's possible that could be true, highly unlikely though.
could explain why he forgets the common since in battling every new area you'd think he would remember types advantages and stuff

Hi. How do I locate Anime Andrew's original Ash clone theory? I would love to read more abut this theory, discover more about this theory and all speculation/all additional speculation and theories and watch its origin video/origin theory.
Here's a summary for you: Ash was created to be a human-Pokémon hybrid, with the resistances to Pokémon attacks but the ability to function flawlessly in human society AS a human; he was probably created to serve as a communication link between humans and Pokémon (which kind of rules out Giovanni as a creator, but whatever). He started as a baby and progressed normally until he turned ten, when he got Pikachu - and the first serious electrocution short-circuited his body's ability to develop. He still has all the skills the cloning intended for him to have, but he can never grow up.
this is the stuff i like, its unique and interesting... not the same regurgitated crap that have lost their importance, ie the Ho-Oh resurrection theory

Reasons why the theory doesn't work could also includes the following
1) Brock who has traveled with Ash for generations hasn't aged either. Even Gary made an appearance in gen 4 and looked the same age.
2) In gen 2 Ash started out with a lot of his gen 1 pokemon and only sent them away in the middle of it so how can the command of not switching his pokemon work there.
3) When Ash reaches varidian city for his 8th Gym battle in gen 1 he says it took him an year so that means Ash already delayed the clones life. In fact after the Kanto league Ash went to the Orange Islands with all of his same pokemon.
4) in order for this theory to be true we would have to assume that geovani stopped researching for a more durable clone after he made the first one couldn't he make a clone that aged normally or didn't have the flaws the original clone did.
Here's a thought: What if the pokemon series just takes a way shorter time than it seems to? Maybe it's all happened over several months as opposed to several years, and that's why Ash is still 10-- because it hasn't even been a year since he first went on his journey.

Considering Ash's memory suddenly gets lost every Anime of Pokemon and his only memory is Pikachu and the fact he's from Pallet town, I would believe that he either is brainwashed or is cloned every year. Same with Pikachu.

Anyone who has watch this series, anime has to realize that most of the population is clones, and most likely not native to this world..
For second part of the 'Ash is a clone' theory to work remotely logically, I suppose Ash could have died as a small child, possibly due to Giovanni's carelessness and thus the man cloned him. If he DID get their son killed, it would also potentially explain why he's no longer with Ash's mother (What was her name?? Deliah?), assuming they were together. Or he could've been a clone of Giovanni himself. They DO look alike other than hair colour. I don't think Ash actually IS a clone, though, I was just working out possibilities in my head. ^-^U
Mr Buddy the second cloning theory sounds more convincing, and honestly one thing that isnt considered in your video, is that red could have been the champion before ash was born.. ritchie makes no sense to be the base for the reasons you stated, whereas if red existed in the pokemon universe, it would never have been said if he was older than ash, so its safe to assume he is in this world,
Mr. Buddy you can be right that their keeping him the same age though they never acknowledge if he is getting older. But watching an old episode they made a comment. In the gathering of Four episode where Ash reconnects with Pikachu, Squirtle, Bulbasaur and Charizard in preparation of his 3rd and final battle with Brandon the Battle Pyramid King he said alot has happened throughout the years since catching them. So the show acknowledged the passage of time unlike I believe the Simpsons have done. So maybe its the leap year joke he aged every 4 years out of the 20 its been on. During the battle with Brandon bulbasaur's vine whip was hurting him. When Charizard's flame thrower hit ash during their hanging out he Ash said that hurt. Which I believe was the only time he said that.
A couple of Pokemon Theories I have are how do Pokemon that requires traded evolve in the wild? I have seen slowing, Gengar and 1more I can not think offhand. Another question I always wondered is if some of his Pokemon he let go why havent he randomly come across them like Butterfree or Pidgeot? In the Johto league they showed a trainer from another region particiapting yet the Professors and Trainers have no information? Professors know of one another and study different fields of Pokemon but no gathering or passing along information of their region's unique ones? Then always wondered if Agatha is gary's grandmother since the parents are never showed and she mentioned knowing Professor Oak a long time ago.
Something i want to point out is with mewtwo. In mewtwo origins his voice was a guy and such, but in another movie with mewtwo its a girl this is where you meet mega mewtwo and she fights genesect well with that mewtwo does not remember ash at all which is strange so i know not all have a theory on this, but i thought maybe they created another mewtwo but a female version of him. I just had this on my mind because the mewtwo i would have thought would of remember ash from pokemon origins. This was just something that crossed my mind
idk if this theory actually makes sense, but there is something i would like to add... what if both, pikachu and ash were killed back than and due to that they must be cloned every time they visit a new region... they both keep their memories (that's why pikachu trusts him), but they lose all their previous experience (that could explain why pikachu lost to a low leveled snivy and that (few episodes later) ash was surprised as he could not have switched his pokemon after mean look was used, even though he had seen that move before)... but i don't think that he died back then... i mean honestly... it's an anime for 10 year olds... they banned an episode because of a gun... why should there be deaths of main characters?

Actually think about it and think from a different element, like Ash never grows up and forgets the Pokemon he always encounters. Probably a decoy created to keep people from realizing that the real one is gone into a another world.

clones are possible though in the anime because remember how ash got stuck in the mirror like world where everyone had different colors but was the opposite hence cloning is possible you just need to take DNA from both sides and you have the perfect clone

The every year ash is swapped out is odd because in a couple episodes they say it's been a year since the hero (ash ketchum) started his journey so I don't think that part COULD be right

Tbh about this aging thing from ash, i always believe it was a side effect from the first movie OR the thing with Ho-Oh, u know, eternal happiness? If he ages, then wouldnt he being unable to achieve his dream just because he failed to defeat the league(not the champion but for example, Tobias) and therefore wouldnt have the chance to become a 'pokemon master'?
I just dont have a strong belief on ash being a clone...even if Giovanni have the skills to transplant the memories into a new ash or something

I've always thought that Ash was suspiciously interested in Gary and suspiciously disinterested in girls. However, it's not just Gary: look at how he feels about Ritchie. He's awfully close to Brock too. And let's not forget "Ashley's" several crossdressing incidents. He doesn't really seem to mind them much. And that one time he actually kissed a girl (Melody) he didn't exactly enjoy it.
It's just extremely hard for me to believe the animators aren't hinting at something with all that.

To be honest, I kinda feel like the romantic relationship theory is gonna be shut down. Have you seen the episode of the XY anime Under The Promise Tree? Serena says that it almost feels like Ash and Serena are on a date. Maybe you're next Pokemon theory should be if any one of the girls featured in the anime at any time should be Ash's girlfriend, even though this could very well be true. There have been little signs that Ash and Misty could be a couple and the same with him and Dawn, Iris and Serena. Although, it would be a good idea to mainly focus on Serena because of her mentioning dating (wish I could see the day)
