I was so tired of people being like "I can't believe this is the same guy who played Mr. Darcy" but oh my god I just watched that version of the movie for the first time and everyone is right I can't believe thats the same person.
The scene where he's telling Shiv how he really feels about their marriage arrangement on the beach is one of the most heartfelt and gut-wrenching moments I've ever seen on television.
He never failed or was put into a position that made him break, unlike the siblings. Prison looming was the closest thing to breaking him (or Shiv) and he made it through that.
Whoever came up with the name Wambsgans for the character is a genius. A pathetic, backwoods sounding name, but with undertones of the visceral and glandular.

LMAOOOOO tom is by far my favorite character of all time. and greg is so incredible and perfect. name a more iconic duo. you can't.
There are actors who have range, and then there's Matthew Macfayden. I watched P&P 2005, and checked him out in this show. Absolute whiplash, I tell you. The range is truly something else if your portrayals are believable, yet someone feels genuinely disturbed about your different roles
