I expected a bigger jump, Far Cry 4 had a pretty glaring difference on PS3 to PS4, but with Far Cry 6 on PS4 to PS5 it doesn't seem like such a big leap to me.
Still it holds really good for an old console i have mine 1001a version " and work wonderfully even in big new games. I can't wait to play horizon zero dawn forbidden west 🤩 i don't care about high cleaning quality pixels i'm satisfied with 30 fps 900p-1080p.

Damn the load time difference is just amazing. Feel lucky to have a ps5 since I’ve found myself fast travelling a lot. Funny to think we took the load times on last gen for granted

To be honest I expected a pretty big difference, when Far Cry 4 came out there was a big difference between the PS3 and PS4 versions, the Old-Gen versions had a lot of visual elements and graphical effects missing, the game struggled to maintain the 30fps on old-gen and the resolution was under 720p, you could really feel the generation jump playing the game on PS3 and then PS4, but I can't feel that with Far Cry 6, of course the PS5 version is definitely better, but the biggest difference is just in frame-rate and resolution, nothing more.
I guess because ps3 and ps4 versions of farcry 4 both trageted 30 fps that's why ps4 had better visuals but in farcry 6 ps5 frame rate is double the amount from last gen
You’re still getting pretty much double the resolution and double the frame rate of the PS4 pro version on ps5. On top of that better reflections, textures, lod and of course loading. Think PlayStation knew this gen would only equate to performance more than visuals that’s why load times and the controller are there to add the “difference from last gen”. Which is welcome. Games can’t go back to 30fps at this point, so you’ll only notice a graphical jump when developers target 1080p-1440p with good upscaling. Think Rift apart is the only one deploying that next gen look with RT. But that’s pretty much all you can do this gen.

In far cry 6 (and for all cross gen games this gen), the difference between ps4 and ps5 is 4x the resolution (1080p -> 2160p) and the jump from 30 -> 60 fps. This raises an interesting topic: Should PS5/XSX target 1080p/60 fps instead of 2160p/60 fps, so that the graphical quality of the image can be improved (bigger draw distances, full ray-tracing, better textures, more npc/vegtation density, etc)?
Eu percebi que os consoles bases estão rodando bem melhor os games lançados atualmente comparado há 5/8 anos atrás, no qual havia uma constante queda de fps (variando de 5 a +10 fps). Isso mostra que as empresas melhoraram muito em relação a otimização de seus jogos nos últimos anos. Por exemplo, se o FarCry 6 fosse lançado há uns 5 anos atrás ou mais, o ps4 mal o rodaria (ficando creio eu na faixa de uns 25 a 20 fps). Hoje podemos ver o game quase cravado a 30 fps (coisa que seria impossível no passado). Isso mostra a nós jogadores que o poder dos consoles bases ainda pode ser aproveitado por mais alguns anos pelas empresas. Ainda há muita lenha para queimar nesses vídeos games, provando que a diversão está longe de acabar.
Sempre é assim,no começo da geração os devs não tem muita experiência no console novo,já maos pro fim eles tem muito mais experiência com as especificações do console,creio que no ps5 e xsx durem por bastante tempo depois do fim da sua geração
O jogo tá surpreendentemente bom no ps4,só os tempos de loading que são ruins(E o FPS que é 30 cravado,porém não cai , então acho de boa,mas se vc só quiser 60 fps é foda)
Pelo menos no PS4 roda em 1080p , já no Xbox One base devido aquela tranqueira de DDR3 de 2013 faz com que a maioria dos jogos nele rodem em 900p ou abaixo disso .

As a ps4 and ps4 pro owner i will say other than the small visual improvements and better resolution on the pro, the main benefit is fps stability, standard ps4 has more frequent and more noticeable frame dips in high stress scenarios
If youre talking about 2042 then you gotta understand how much the game is trying to do on ancient tech. Last gen consoles were already underpowered when they released almost 10 years ago, lol
Actually, I am quite impressed with PS4 and PS4 Pro they hold up well! I play on PS5 and I am blown away how good the current generation consoles look. Just goes to show current generation still has life left. I don't own the game yet don't know if I will I need more convincing as far as gameplay.
The more and more of these comparison videos I watch the more I come to the conclusion that the ps5 isn't really that big a improvement graphically from ps4 pro. Yes frame rates can be higher if game supports it, and load times are far quicker but I'm not sure the ps5 is what I expect from next gen console
Base PS4 runs better than PC that are more powerful than the PS4 itself, some 4 GB GPUs cant handle so much textures like the PS4 does while playing the game at locked 30 constantly.

En lo personal no me molesta que siga sacando juegos para la generacion pasada (ya que yo tengo ps4 y no he conseguida la 5), pero mientra sigan saliendo para esa generacion el Ps5 solo sera una Ps4 Pro Max.
Es que el ps5 no ha salido realmente, hay muy pocas unidades, es prácticamente un soft launch... Y pues PS4 tiene ya una base con millones y millones de consolas... Creo que le queda muchísima vida.

For those on the PS4 Pro, do you notice the game is heavily, heavily LoD'd? There's a lot of 'pop in' effect. I think DF's video also noted that much of the foliage was quarter resolution, which is why it almost always looks blurry. The game looks good, but I don't think its much of an improvement over 2018's FC5. And while the base PS4 doesn't look bad, exactly, I think it looks worse than FC5 due to the heavy lodding. Once it hits a sale, I'll probably see about picking it up on the PC.
Not much of an improvement over FC5? Newsflash - slap in that FC5 disc into the console of your choice, and your gonna see the visuals outmatches FC6. Yeah, an older game have vastly better graphics. Thats how Ubisoft rolls these days. They just dont care anymore.
@@Hauerization I don't think its the result of Ubisoft being lazy. I think its the result of FC6 simply being a crossgen title. On the PC, the game looks absolutely gorgeous. But for the PS4s, they just don't have the extra hardware to work with, so they're using a lot of tricks, workarounds, and corner cutting in an attempt to give the illusion of improvement. Be cool to see what the next crop of 9G native games does, after the 8G consoles drop off.
@@BateluerThere were two games almost in a row that was considerably worse than their own predcessors - namely Far Cry 6 and Dying Light 2 (the latter wich basically wernt playable once you got deep into it). It what happens when you try to spread out over to many generations of consoles - bad idea. Hopefully Dying Light 2 was the last tripple a game to have done this - a get a feeling that the industry finally releasing for pc and current gen only.

The game runs very well on base PS4, I installed Samsung 870 Evo SSD to replace the hdd and it improved the frame rate and load times considerably on PS4
I've been playing the PS5 version for most of the day and while the game is fun albeit overfamiliar, what really disappoints me is just how much screen tearing there is. It's horrendous. The problem with this video is that it really doesn't show this as it is mainly static comparisons but, trust me, it's there and potentially game ruining if you are sensitve to it like me. Anytime you engage in any combat or cause any explosions or particle or fire effects then the screen tears. It's not top-quarter of the screen stuff either, you sometimes see that in the form of the odd tear which exploring (even sometimes indoors!), no, it's the full screen wobble kind that completely ruins the experience for me. I reckon the game tears for about 60% of the time I was playing it which is absolutely inexcusable for a current gen release, especially one with a dynamic resolution. Clearly it isn't working and the game is using adaptive v-sync and dipping below 60 fps far too often which then results in a screen tear, even if it only dips to 58 or 59 fps. Why do so many Ubisoft games still have screen tearing? Their games are the only ones I see screen tearing it? They need to optimise their games better in my opinion. Does the Xbox Series SX version support VRR for this game? If it does then it is going to offer a far superior experience to the PS5 on anyone with a VRR compatible TV.
Watching my brother play this right now. First time I've seen real life gameplay. He's playing on an old vanilla ps4, with a 1080 display. Even on this old-ass system, the game looks very good. Now I kinda want to get this for my ps5 and really see what this game can do.
It’s practically like Far cry new dawn with some slightly updated effects. So graphics wise on my PS4 pro I felt like it was a mix between New Dawn and Cyberpunk 2077.
After managing to grab a ps5 and using the free upgrade of farcry last night I have to say initial impressions are that that apart from the much shorter loading times, I can't really see a 'wow' like difference between my older PS4 and PS5 for this game anyway. If horizon zero dawn isn't a noticeable generation step forwards then I'll probably wonder why I rushed to get the ps5. Fingers crossed.

Great perfomance of the Xbox Series S (1440p 60 fps) when compared to the powerhouse that is PS5. The older consoles showing signs of being outdated, 30 fps is a bummer when console gamers get used to 60 fps performance.
@@ArielCerrud not In graphical fidelity tho. Also the ps5 is targeting 4 time the resolution of ps4. So games might not look that different but gameplay elements that would have never been possible on ps4 would be possible on ps5 and that's great.

There is no big difference. It is way better than FC4 was back in the days, it looked so different on ps3. I have a PS5 and I can see a noticeable difference in frame rates and resolution.
A todos los que dicen que los 30 fps son una kaka, les digo que es verdad si ya estas acostumbrado a los 60, mas que todo los de pc, pero si eres como yo que paso de ps2, a 360 y luego a ps4 puedo decir que no me afecta en nada, me pase juegos como uncharted y gow y los disfrute mucho, la verdad lo de los fps me entere hasta hace poco y la verdad si es una gran diferencia y solo por ese salto es bueno pasar a la next gen pero por el momento la ps4 me sigue dando juegos, esperando gow ragnarok
@@AdubsMMA this is not a game you should be looking at when you’re thinking about buying a ps5, because this is a cross gen game. Look at games such as demon’s souls, ratchet and clank, or any other “next-gen” games in the future, such as god of war ragnarok.

I’d say 30 and 60 FPS is a pretty big difference. But yeah graphically wise not by much.

Pelo menos no PS4 roda em 1080p , já no Xbox One base devido aquela tranqueira de DDR3 de 2013 faz com que a maioria dos jogos nele rodem em 900p ou abaixo disso .

As a ps4 and ps4 pro owner i will say other than the small visual improvements and better resolution on the pro, the main benefit is fps stability, standard ps4 has more frequent and more noticeable frame dips in high stress scenarios

Actually, I am quite impressed with PS4 and PS4 Pro they hold up well! I play on PS5 and I am blown away how good the current generation consoles look. Just goes to show current generation still has life left. I don't own the game yet don't know if I will I need more convincing as far as gameplay.
The more and more of these comparison videos I watch the more I come to the conclusion that the ps5 isn't really that big a improvement graphically from ps4 pro.
Yes frame rates can be higher if game supports it, and load times are far quicker but I'm not sure the ps5 is what I expect from next gen console

Base PS4 runs better than PC that are more powerful than the PS4 itself, some 4 GB GPUs cant handle so much textures like the PS4 does while playing the game at locked 30 constantly.

For those on the PS4 Pro, do you notice the game is heavily, heavily LoD'd? There's a lot of 'pop in' effect. I think DF's video also noted that much of the foliage was quarter resolution, which is why it almost always looks blurry. The game looks good, but I don't think its much of an improvement over 2018's FC5. And while the base PS4 doesn't look bad, exactly, I think it looks worse than FC5 due to the heavy lodding.
Once it hits a sale, I'll probably see about picking it up on the PC.
Not much of an improvement over FC5? Newsflash - slap in that FC5 disc into the console of your choice, and your gonna see the visuals outmatches FC6. Yeah, an older game have vastly better graphics. Thats how Ubisoft rolls these days. They just dont care anymore.
@@Hauerization I don't think its the result of Ubisoft being lazy. I think its the result of FC6 simply being a crossgen title. On the PC, the game looks absolutely gorgeous. But for the PS4s, they just don't have the extra hardware to work with, so they're using a lot of tricks, workarounds, and corner cutting in an attempt to give the illusion of improvement.
Be cool to see what the next crop of 9G native games does, after the 8G consoles drop off.
@@BateluerThere were two games almost in a row that was considerably worse than their own predcessors - namely Far Cry 6 and Dying Light 2 (the latter wich basically wernt playable once you got deep into it). It what happens when you try to spread out over to many generations of consoles - bad idea. Hopefully Dying Light 2 was the last tripple a game to have done this - a get a feeling that the industry finally releasing for pc and current gen only.
A game this good looking running well on last gen consoles is almost a miracle. Wonderful job by Ubisoft.

The game runs very well on base PS4, I installed Samsung 870 Evo SSD to replace the hdd and it improved the frame rate and load times considerably on PS4

The graphic improvements are good but the 60 FPS is what really makes this game so much better on ps5

I've been playing the PS5 version for most of the day and while the game is fun albeit overfamiliar, what really disappoints me is just how much screen tearing there is. It's horrendous. The problem with this video is that it really doesn't show this as it is mainly static comparisons but, trust me, it's there and potentially game ruining if you are sensitve to it like me.
Anytime you engage in any combat or cause any explosions or particle or fire effects then the screen tears. It's not top-quarter of the screen stuff either, you sometimes see that in the form of the odd tear which exploring (even sometimes indoors!), no, it's the full screen wobble kind that completely ruins the experience for me. I reckon the game tears for about 60% of the time I was playing it which is absolutely inexcusable for a current gen release, especially one with a dynamic resolution. Clearly it isn't working and the game is using adaptive v-sync and dipping below 60 fps far too often which then results in a screen tear, even if it only dips to 58 or 59 fps.
Why do so many Ubisoft games still have screen tearing? Their games are the only ones I see screen tearing it? They need to optimise their games better in my opinion.
Does the Xbox Series SX version support VRR for this game? If it does then it is going to offer a far superior experience to the PS5 on anyone with a VRR compatible TV.
There's no tearing on series x even without vrr myst be a PS5 problem

Watching my brother play this right now. First time I've seen real life gameplay. He's playing on an old vanilla ps4, with a 1080 display. Even on this old-ass system, the game looks very good. Now I kinda want to get this for my ps5 and really see what this game can do.

It’s practically like Far cry new dawn with some slightly updated effects. So graphics wise on my PS4 pro I felt like it was a mix between New Dawn and Cyberpunk 2077.
I was amazed at how well it's running after playing for some hours on my PS4... So well done Ubisoft

After managing to grab a ps5 and using the free upgrade of farcry last night I have to say initial impressions are that that apart from the much shorter loading times, I can't really see a 'wow' like difference between my older PS4 and PS5 for this game anyway.
If horizon zero dawn isn't a noticeable generation step forwards then I'll probably wonder why I rushed to get the ps5. Fingers crossed.

Great perfomance of the Xbox Series S (1440p 60 fps) when compared to the powerhouse that is PS5. The older consoles showing signs of being outdated, 30 fps is a bummer when console gamers get used to 60 fps performance.

@@ArielCerrud not In graphical fidelity tho. Also the ps5 is targeting 4 time the resolution of ps4. So games might not look that different but gameplay elements that would have never been possible on ps4 would be possible on ps5 and that's great.

There is no big difference. It is way better than FC4 was back in the days, it looked so different on ps3. I have a PS5 and I can see a noticeable difference in frame rates and resolution.
