Seeing the Far Cry 3 and 4 skinning animation makes me miss it the more when playing 5 and 6. I love how everytime you’d skin an animal, Jason/Ajay would exclaim in disgust
Bro I remember being so scared to skin a shark cause the water was so poorly designed in far cry 3 (it’s my favourite game of all time) but I got through it lmao. Vaas is my favourite villain lol “Jason have I ever told you the definition of insanity?”

@@daniels-mo9olI respect your opinion, but FC2 was a bore for me. Good gunplay, sure, and the African environment was cool (Plus, the artystyle of the game and how much more "darker" it is compared to the saturated looks of FC6 & 5 + beyond is so much better.)

can't agree more. it also has the best collective gameplay. from crafting pouches out of animal skins and learning new ability. I finished 3,4 and 5 so many times and I'm playing 6 right now, though the graphics in 6 is amazing (albeit still cartoonish) but the game mechanics lack so much comparing to 4. driving is also atrocious in 6 and the way they spread some perks on armors rather than passive skill set is a downgrade

I really enjoy playing all of these, but I think it's sad that you don't have to rely on crafting in FC5 and FC6. I miss have to go hunting to create better equipment

but if you aim at them while they are not in a vehicle they will actually react to you and say something like "Watch it".

Water shader of far cry 5 is GOAT.
Far cry 5 has great weapon system, i like the way weapon recoil and single shots work, great potential for multiplayer modes.
Facts, if only they added more to the game(set in America after all) crossbow,m4 shotgun or even just more m4s lol

In far cry 3 and 4 npc react if player aims on them or throw a stone in their hitbox. But they do it only while standing on the ground, like in 5 or 6
Seeing the mangrove area in Far Cry 3 toward the end of the game brought back so many memories. Each game truly has its own special nuances that come with the environment it takes place in.
I still remember the epic fight I had with the black hawk there
They’ve lost that specialness. Far cry 3 and 4 were the last good far cry games. They’re now incredibly mediocre.

Far Cry 3- a new formula that worked, and everyone loved it and had such a blast.
Far Cry 4- a reskin of FC3 but with polished and perfected details.
Far Cry 5- A different approach which didn't lay well for 3 and 4 lovers, but after a while it gets to you and you realize it is great.
Far Cry 6- A game very different from all of the above, yet without polish and detail 4 and 5 had.
Why do every far cry games have to be like Far Cry 3? I liked FC4...graphics is better it is polished... Himalaya feels great, Pagan min is a great villain,
FC 5 hope county good too... It wasn't violent like fc3, 4... but a good game... Why do you expect every far cry to be like far cry 3 I don't get it... I like vaas as a villain and also fc4 and fc5 villains... Graphics gets better in each game

It makes me sad how little the differences are in the graphics of the games. Per Farcry there is each time a gap of a few years in between. Wich makes u expect that the graphics would be better each time they launch a new farcry, but thats not the case in my opinion. I really hope fc7 will be like 3 & 4: skin animation, skill tree, hunt/craft mechanic. Those aspects were the ones that made farcry.

I play far cry 3 for story and 4 for physics
No matter what Far Cry 3 is the best. Story wise and Character writing, No any other Far Cry game can come closer to it. Hats off to the developers of Far Cry 3❤

(ima use hunting here as an example for what im about to say) The major reason for the lack of detail and animation in hunting for fc5 and fc6 is because some idiots got mad that it "takes too long", that's also the reason they got rid of the ability to sleep, apparently the more realism the game has, the angrier people get :/

The movement in Far cry 4 is a little bit faster than Far cry 3. What I mean is the way you get in the vehicles in Far cry 4 if you notice:))

you can hunt in farcry 2 too
npcs do react in FC3 when u point gun at villagers (common people) other than the tribal warriors , they will scream and run away and also beg for their lives
I really wished far cry had on its story missions a great Zoo with different exhibits from all around the world. So in Editor we could have incredible aestetic widlife scenes to create wonderful and cool things.

As a 65 year old gaming veteran and a player of these when released, FC3 was console kiddie food which the series never fully expunged. I've often thought FC5 is the best overall and I stand by that. Kids can have their T&A Citra or Edgy Vas. FC4 is more of the same - a LOT more, but the Wingsuit escape will always be special. FC5 makes me proud to be American while FC6 was a new developer whom decided to go back and try to capture 3 and 4 together in a single experience. FC6 also forced players into a female protagonist - doesn't bother me as that would have been my given choice like in FC5. One step forward - 3 steps back. At least 6 saved money on voiced companions/guns for hire so they could throw it at Giancarlo. At least Danny Trejo was a big plus. FC6 is good, it just tried a bit too hard with less inspiration.

I played 5 first, now I'm playing 4. 5 is definitely better, especially now it's X/S enhanced. 4 is still really good, it's amazing that it's almost 10 years old and still better than most of the new games.
@@Soupy_loopy As I get older I do try and play those long games one more time - yet when the basic game loop is the same, then it becomes a matter of which one hits that note best.

Far cry 5 is my favorite. Far Cry 6 just seemed like more of an extended DLC for Far Cry 5 and I didn't really care for it. The only one of the games I really considered groundbreaking was Far Cry Primal. I have all of the games and will probably buy the next one when it comes out.
I didn't played Far cry 5.. So for me Far cry 6 is very good game and really loved it.. But Far cry 3 is always my Favorite...

Far Cry 3 and 4 is on top for me
I liked the little sound lag behind a distance explosion and when the sound reaches the player. It feels realistics as in real time sounds travel slower than light so we may see explosion at a distance sooner than we hear it in real life . I wish they had implemented that feature in other farcry games too. Also, In farcry 2, whenever a rocket explodes near the player, the whole screen jitters and shakes giving a very real life feeling - as in real life if a bomb or a rocket explodes close to use, we will most likely be shaken really good from its impact. I loved that feeling the most in the whole farcry 2 , but unfortunately the developers decided against implementing that feature in the future farcry games. Both of these features would have made for a great realistic user experience in my opinion.
For all its flaws FC2 is still my favourite by a country mile. It's the only game I've ever played where I've legitimately forgotten I was playing a game for short periods. It will always be the most immersive for me.
5 is my all time fav.
Far cry really went downhill from Far Cry 5 in terms of immersion. In 2, 3 and 4 everything used to feel cut-throat, like you were actually fighting for your survival in an uncaring exotic environment. The following games are just large sandboxes filled with random NPC interactions, boring filler missions, guns that shoot like props and discutable diversity representation. I guess it can be enjoyed by some people, but it's not for me.
I hope if Far Cry 7's going to be released, they give it all the good stuff from the series and remove/replace/improve from the bad stuff.
i dont like the healing system in the newer far cry games, was always funny to just see the dude pop some metal out of him arm and go back into rushing the gun fight

I think every Far Cry Title is unique. People who don't like them, won't like every Far Cry Game.
But unpopular opinion but Primal, 5 & 6 were okay.
Good Games in General. Even when they were published by Ubisoft.
I abandoned the series after Far Cry 3 so this was really interesting. I might pick up a copy of 5 one of these days.

So, objectively the best of the series seems to have been Far cry 3...but my favorite was Far cry 4..instead Far cry 5 seems to me to be the best in physics and details (and also very underrated)... And far cry 6 is the best in graphics.. 💝

I feel like they put less and less effort in each Far Cry. They just reuse the same idea, but take out some effects that may create issues. Instead they make the maps bigger and emptier and soulless
That's how I felt with Far Cry 5. Just a bunch of empty space. However they did fix that with Far Cry 6.

@@Doesbleck But it isn't. There has never been a game that was more immersive than 2. There have been games with more features, yes, but no other game in the series has felt as real as 2 - for that, it has always been my favourite.
Thank you at least for not saying 3 😂 Why people love 3 so much is genuinely beyond me. It has all the worst aspects of 2 (the repetitiveness, etc) but with none of the charm and far less immersion. 2 is the only game that I've really felt like I was there at times, forgot I was playing a game. Don't get me wrong 4 was very good, but it lacked the grit and realness that 2 had. Technically better in many aspects, yes, but ultimately for me it comes down to immersion. 2 made me feel like I was in Africa. None of the others did that for me.

I have played all Far Cry games but Far Cry 2 have better physics in so manny ways lol Far Cry 3 is one of the best but Far Cry 4 is the best , , one of the best DLCs ever is Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon.. I like Far Cry 5 too , I have it on PS4 with all 3 DLCs and Dead Living Zombies DLC is the best DLC ever^^
The best physics in far cry 4, physics is also driving cars, shooting weapons, and all this is poorly done in far cry 2, and there are also 4 times more destructible objects than 2.
Truly the only game series that have almost all good games
It's strange to talk about physics and a realistic environment, and not include Far Cry 2, which beats them all without the slightest effort in this regard :P
