Ugh, this soundtrack is so good. Wicked Child is easily a Top 20 track for the system. That song is inseparable from those damn jumping hunchbacks in my mind. Ah, the memories...
My childhood couldn't be the same without 8-bit Castlevania. Good and nostalgic. It's fun to notice that lots of movies and videogames nowadays haven't got the a single main theme that still remains in head after end credtis. :)
This is probably my favourite NES game. It took me about 4 YEARS to beat it. Thank you for uploading the OST. My personal favourite song in the game is Wicked Child.
All my yes. The way it sounds is just, brilliantly beautiful. Heart of Fire was MADE to sound like it does in the video, thank you very much for doing this justice. Miss Yamashita is one of my favorite and most influential composers evar.
Hey man. Just droppin a BIG thank you for your work. Primarily the Nes collection. I live for these soundtracks and experiencing each one with your adjustments makes me the feel like the biggest glowing ball of happiness on the entire planet.
This was the first game that I ever drove myself to the store to buy, got it right after getting my license. Very cool that it was a great game, played the crap out it. One of the best soundtracks of the 8 bit era.
Chicojim Productions Think about it. The original GBA, which I very stupidly bought at launch on June 11, 2001 didn't go down the best with its users. It had a highly reflective screen that was STILL not back-lit. If you're going to use any GBA, I recommend the SP Plus (model AGS-101). It has a back-lit screen, and can fold shut, protecting the screen and making it very easily portable (if you didn't already know these things, which you likely do. Give credit where credit is due for someone's intelligence and knowledge levels, right?).
awesome game soundtrack i love castlevania for the nes. and i am sure one of the early survival horror games. a classic a game i love playing to this day huge fan of the castlevania game series.
I think its improved, why wouldn't they do it. My teacher said he rebought all his nes games on the wii u but he has an nes in his parents basement like wow

+GamingHD It would be fun. I'm sure they could remaster the graphics and sounds without losing the original game's charm. I was very happy about Dracula X Chronicles on PSP emulator in 1080p. On the original PSP, because of the resolution, it doesn't looks very good. DXC played like Rondo of Blood, Rondo was similar to the old school Castlevania games, with modern graphics and sound design, any of the old CV games would work if the basic mechanics were the same.
You're kinda right. I used to work for an Arcade back in Austin, Texas and there actually existed a dedicated board for both Super Mario Bros. & Castlevania. I remember the Arcade board revison when I 1st played it was a bit harder due to the the time you could do each stage was lower then the NES version. Great Soundtrack tho keeps me coming back!
There was also vs Castlevania which was a stand alone arcade version. The vs series of NES arcade games which came before playchoice 10 actually featured harder versions of the original games and with some things added to the games. Most of the original NES lineup had a vs arcade version.
Addicted to this series.....like no other. Vampire Killer is the theme of themes. Holy Grail of Castlevania! What started it all :-) GOD I love 1987. Nintendo brought out so many titles that I still follow to this day. Epic games. Kids today don't know what they missed and were it all started :-)
Though it does appear in Simon's Quest the one I'm pretty sure he's referring to is the "Super Castlevania IV" rendition. Coincidentally being a sort of retelling of Simon Belmont's first foray into Castlevania, Bloody Tears does play within the Clock Tower Stage.
I love your quality 8-bit OST vids so so much. I've been looking for a full OST for the NES game Iron Tank for a long time; could you do one for this game?
Hey Wiiguy, just liked to point out that Yamashita wasn't the only composer for this game, she did stages 3 and 5 at least, and about half of the songs are by Satoe Terashima. The iconic vampire killer for example is by Terashima.
Oh yes I am very much well aware now, this was back when my resources and searching for that info wasn't was available to me. It was corrected on video (and mostly description for the respective composer) on my Castlevania NES Trilogy upload: ruclips.net/video/808rJnHQzIQ/видео.html

I miss growing up in that era. Well I was 4 when this came out but I remember playing the NES before getting a SNES in 91.
got this game for one of my single digit birthdays with a Triceratops model...now i have grey hair in my beard.
@@SamuraiTacos1 because they fucked up very badly with metal gear soild 5

perfect time for this soundtrack :D
I'm not from the 80's but this music is so damn awesome!
this is one of the hardest and most unforgiving games of my childhood...but damn it if its not one of the most fun. radical music too
Vampire Killer, Heart of Fire and Out of time are my favourites of this OST :)

This is probably my favourite NES game. It took me about 4 YEARS to beat it. Thank you for uploading the OST.
My personal favourite song in the game is Wicked Child.
Friggin' Reaper and the medusa heads.
scifyry Actually, the funny thing is, the Medusa heads didn't bother me that much. I did however; hate the Grim Reaper.
+kirbyfan107 LOL. The Grim Reaper was definitely the worst!
kirbyfan107 it's my favorite to, has got me bouncing to the beat of it.
Im gonna be blasting this out the car this weekend. TRUE PLAYER.
Realistic game setting = *puts **10:34** on repeat*
I know those last two jingles all too well.
This game is actually from 1986, but it was released in NA in 1987 and here in Spain (Europe) in 1988. Great video anyways!!!!
The boss music (poison mind) still gives me chills even after hearing it a thousand times.
+Nate B. Me too, and that first boss that transforms into a floating head is the scariest thing man
Thank you WII GUY! You entreasured all my old head song melodies! Life is GRAND!!

Keep up the good work brother! :)
Oh, and thanks for repairing the link!
I am from the 80';s .... this is ....good to go
Thought it sounded crappy coming from iPhone speaker, but put the earbuds in, and everything changed! Pure stereo gold!
And it gets better with the download link version! I believe I have found the best mix for this stereo :3
This was the first game that I ever drove myself to the store to buy, got it right after getting my license. Very cool that it was a great game, played the crap out it. One of the best soundtracks of the 8 bit era.
And you can get it again on the Wii, Wii U, or 3DS Virtual Console for $5.
doctor345678 It was also ported to the Game Boy advance.
Chicojim Productions Not as many people use those anymore.
Shame on them.

DAMN. That 1st beat is vicious! Holly crap that beat is nice! TY WiiGuys
I wish that they would remake these classics in 1080p and with upgraded surround sound. That would be so awesome.
wii u store?? arent they on there.
William Burgoon oh yeah. Are they upgraded to true 1080p though. What about the sound on them?
I think its improved, why wouldn't they do it. My teacher said he rebought all his nes games on the wii u but he has an nes in his parents basement like wow

Caleb Child - The problem is that most people don't know that the game Super Castlevania IV is in fact the remake of this game.
I love Castlevania, this music is godly.
Wicked Child is da best
Every track on Castlevania is golden. Whenever I play this game its half for the music
i was 9 years old when i played that game. It was very hard and scared the hell out of me :D
We can all agree that 2:27 is the best one, right?
To this day, that track still makes me cum a lot.
My favorite is 1:14
Awesome track, but I really love “Walking on the Edge” too!
One of the best cover arts for any game.
Heart of Fire, epic O-O
It is. My 5 year old son loves it too.
This is a classic!

GD, this is good. Man.
I'm crying
It's crazy how these songs are imbedded in my brain since I was a kid. Verdegrand on youtube does an amazing piano version of these...it's awesome.
~Perfect ~
4 tracks are made by Satoe Terashima (another japanese lady) according to Kinuyo Yamashita herself : Vampire Killer, Stalker, Out of Time and Voyager.
Wicked Child.. the best :3
I forgot about that game.
But I still played it in 2 years!
(Okay Now 3 Years!)
this teleported me to the childhood!! :')
damn the tunes the nes did, solar jetman especially
Legendary & Scary

5:40 is so good!
That was always my favorite as a kid. Although the level kicked my ass like nobody's business.
I loved that they used this for julius belmont's battle theme in aria of sorrow
Addicted to this series.....like no other.
Vampire Killer is the theme of themes. Holy Grail of Castlevania!
What started it all :-)
GOD I love 1987.
Nintendo brought out so many titles that I still follow to this day.
Epic games. Kids today don't know what they missed and were it all started :-)
Yeah....that or Lament of Innocence. SOTN was the last solid title I loved.
What's not to love?
Gotta love 1987, it was my year of birth :D
This is truly a peak in the library of NES music! Perfect for a spooky Halloween night! I made a Metal Guitar Medley of this game :)
stereo is really awesome
Woooo! Castlevnia is the best game ever. and halo, mario, the legend of zelda, and smash bros.
Wicked Child
Though it does appear in Simon's Quest the one I'm pretty sure he's referring to is the "Super Castlevania IV" rendition. Coincidentally being a sort of retelling of Simon Belmont's first foray into Castlevania, Bloody Tears does play within the Clock Tower Stage.
First seconds of listening to this 8-Bit Stereo is soo weird... but after several more i loved it!
Seriously one of the absolute best platformers ever made. The Dark Souls of its time.
"Wicked child" kicks ass!
Heart of Fire (Prisonhold) all the way brother!
Old memories
I swear I've already listened to Wicked Child in another game that was packed into one of those 100+ games CDs back in the day...
2:27 Wicked Child (Upper Yard) awesome
2:49
now it gets serious
nice soundtrack
A gosh darn classic! :D
I was going to ask before I read the description, yeah, why does this sound so good?
I love your quality 8-bit OST vids so so much. I've been looking for a full OST for the NES game Iron Tank for a long time; could you do one for this game?

CASTLEVANIA VS WU-TANG:"Castlevania Forever"Vol. 1
Wow I never thought Trevor would pass so much gas on his way to Castlevania.
i love this :) good game :) 1987 yeah :)
Fck yes! This is INSTANT FREE TIME TRAVEL for me of my childhood. Thank you Thank you Thank you. I’m smiling like a kid, in public, in DowntownLA 😂
I always felt that on the cover of this game it was none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger.
+opticmatrix For real! Simon looks like Conan on the cover.
When I was a kid and saw this at the store I told my dad to buy me the "Conan" game lol.
LOL
Thanks for the trivia. Didn't know that.
Antichrist2000 Looked up some Frezetta paintings. Death Dealer is a masterpiece.
At the beginning of Wicked Child, it reminds me of the music in The Goonies.
SO
FUCKING
GOOD
I remember how hard Frankenstein's Monster and Igor was. If you let Igor get off his perch, he'd bounce around and destroy you.
2:29 aww yeah
épico(:
I'd love to see an 8 eyes soundtrack, the game play reminded me of castlevania
Amo esse game
FUCKING awesome ass soundtrack.
