- Brainstorming is a powerful tool for creative breakthroughs... if you use it correctly. In this video you'll learn my team's simple exercise that helps us think big and develop huge plans.
When we're brainstorming, each person on our team finishes the sentence, "Wouldn't it be great if." We throw out big ideas when we do this. In fact, this is how we came up with our Live Your Dream campaign - rhhbschool.com/live-your-dream.
This simple phrase is genius. So many of us get stuck in small thinking, but this kind of brainstorming is how to get out of your own box. It's not just about business -- you can use this in your personal life too.
If you want this exercise to have any power, you have to go in with the intention that if you come up with something awesome while brainstorming, that you'll be able to figure out how to bring it to life. I've seen time and time again -- if you really want something bad enough, you will figure it out and you will make it happen.

I loved reading everyones comments. I don't know what you guys do in life but it makes me smile seeing the dreams that everyone has. Starting a spa, becoming a writer etc... Just a shame that we're led to believe that there's an age for everything and if you pass that age then you're too late. We need more voices like Marie in life

Just wanted to tell you that your dreams are in VERY close alignment with mine Amanda! My husband and I live on the Sonoma Coast 2 blocks from the harbor. I'm a 10 year + vegan and have always dreamed of a vegan cafe by the sea (it would be a HUGE hit here in our little destination fishing village). We have 2 cats (no dog). No videos but I do photography on the beach and have paid gigs without even trying . . . (working on the trying part now). I'll be 60 next year so just wanted to tell you it's never too late! All the best to you . . .
Thank you so much for your encouragement! I will be 40 this September 3rd and I live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, home to the longest man-made beach. I am still dreaming, but I have a plan to start out with a food truck and small event catering. It is less expensive to operate, and I can go where the people are. I'm thinking Vegan eats on a daily changing theme basis (Mexican, Asian, Cajun, American Classics, etc) and also fresh juices, smoothies, freezes, and fruit kabobs (to keep beach goers cool in the summer heat!). I feel that Vegan food is for everyone, not just for people who are exclusively Vegan (like myself), and I want it to be my way to spread the message!

1. I became a signed recording artist
2. My bandmates and I went on a world tour
3. My band Stereo Stairway sold 300, 000 copies of our first album

1. I didn't care what people think and put myself out there.
2. I moved to a different state each year.
3. I discovered different careers (e.g. fashion, culinary, interior design) until I found my passion.
4. I didn't care about going to events alone.
I am so with you on number 3... I have already gone down a few paths, and still want to try more things, but I find that I am passionate about soooo many things.
Same here. There are so many different things I like to do and right now I am not doing any of those things.
Wouldn't it be great if....:
1) I could quit my job, and make a living running my own business.
2) I could move out of my parent's life, and start a life of my own. (Though, I do love them dearly, let there be no mistake about that!)
3) I could figure out where best to focus my energies to make the above statements come true.

1) I worked full-time on my natural vegan cosmetics line by next summer, spreading the message of self-love through self-care.
2) I began cataloguing natural herbs & healing practices passed down through generations in Jamaica & sourced some of my product ingredients from Jamaica.
3) I fully committed myself to acting, even when I don't have everything figured out - in my business, in love, in relationships, in every aspect of my life. I'll figure it out.

Wouldn't it be great if...
1) Parents weren't conditioned to believe that college was the only way for their kids to have a successful life in their adulthood, and have a quote on quote, "secure career."
2) Parents would invest in their kids than investing in a college education
3) Grade school (like high school) taught students how to become business owners, learn entrepreneurship, etc.
4) College didn't make you so many prerequisites, and if you did have to take them they'd only have to be a few of the basics (like 1 English, math, etc).
5) Jobs paid living wage, and not minimum wage.
6) Jobs weren't so nepotism based, and allowed people to get jobs because they're worth, and not turn them down because of random reasons
7) College tuition was more affordable to realistic wages
8) Colleges gave academics scholarships every year for students who received great grades (3.0) or higher, without having to pick random individuals like some lottery, and not have students fill out extensive paperwork for them
9) I started a business after I graduate college (which I will)
10) Society, like the US, was really more of the land of the FREE and the home of the brave, and people would be free to be who they were/are.

I love this! It's exactly how great stories are written: "What if... ?" And our lives are the greatest stories there are, so we can ask this question constantly followed by amazing possibilities! Anna Garcia Anna, to be honest, the word "Just do it" doesn't really appeal to me. What did I do? I improved it! I simple added a "magic word" to make it extremely appealing. So instead of saying "Just do it", I say "JUST FUCKING DO IT!" (MUST BE ALL CAPS!). Go all out! You're welcome :)
