they all needed to find a key to that war. the war was going terribly for the UNSC so whenever a commander saw a chance for something that could be impactful they had to take the risk.
The larger scope of Halo Wars (over the shooters) would work better for a computer animated film. The more intimate nature of the Halo shooters would work better for a live action film. IMO, of course. :-)
Hopefully, the next Halo games will show humanity back against the wall as they struggle to survive and fight rough battles. Well in the books when the covanant fell, no covanant race knew how to run their societies, and they couldn't really repair their ships any more. So humanity got a lot a room to rebuild while the covenant races were trying how to grow food for themselves again
I believe Jerome, Kurt, Fred, and John were the 4 listed as the highest rated Spartan II leaders. All four were almost equal in ability, strength, and endurance, each being a bit better in certain aspects than the others (An example is Kurt being a better tactician and strategist, Fred being the better Jack-of-all-trades, Jerome being the better fighter of the four, and Chief having almost divine levels of Luck and a limitless will). Though I believe on thier own, Linda has the highest rating in the living Spartan IIs, with Kelly and Chief very close to her rating. But Linda is a better Lone Wolf, while Kelly is better in a team. Though it is generally agreed that Sam was the absolute best of the best in terms of Spartan IIs. Sadly, he is gone.

Sam did what he had to to ensure the mission succeeded and his team survived. John had to make the choice to leave him behind
Halo wars is my favorite series of halo games but I do think that the story could have been a bit more in depth but that's just my opinion but other wise that that for me it stands at the top RTS games
"No mission too difficult, no sacrifice too great." Wish Forge coulda made it to HW2, so many ways to avoid his death, they had the ability to have a no-name marine to do that, but it is what it is.
The biggest question for 2021's Halo Infinite for me now after watching Halo Wars is: What happened? How did Atriox get to Infinity? Did he do a tactical retreat or did he win against the Spirit of Fire? So many question yet so little answers.

There are lots of videos that just show the cut-scenes, but they're disjointed side done if the story is told via gameplay. I agree with an update to the title, but I'm glad the video is exactly what it is.
One of my biggest Halo issues. Why humanity never developed something like the portable energy buckler that the Jackels carry around. Technically one of two, since we see Spartan's do insane stuff in cutscenes but during gameplay we can't do something like kill a Hunter (which is actually made up of dozens of sentient worm aliens acting as one inside of an armored carapace), and use their beam cannon or their bashing shield 🤔. But the coup de grace would have to be why humans of the UNSC never developed something like Elite style either energized or superheated knives based off of their plasma swords or even the Brute's gravity hammers and maces. And I only put that into perspective because of XCOM 2, where you can equip a character/soldier unit with melee weapons of that variety after co-opting and modifying the Alien tech. Which is pretty much what all species in Halo want to do by reverse engineering Forerunner Technology. Which is how the Hierarchs of the Covenant became so powerful along with converting Forerunner texts into religious fiction.
Personally I hate how this was set up The first trailer for HW2 would've be good to place when after they actually first met Atriox then they can drag Jerome Hate when Isabel starts to talk about Atriox before the actual game (granted its a trailer) buts it literally the same thing as in the level, might as well add those live action trailers with cutter and Atriox at a car dealership (please don't) Another thing is the Original Halo wars credits in the middle of the movie should of saved it for the end along with the HW2 credits.

If I understand it correctly, Serina, the AI, terminated herself while the crew were in cryo. The message Cutter heard after waking up from cryo was prerecorded by Serina and the Spirit of Fire did not have an AI at that time.
She was going crazy and even unintentionally got some of the crew killed a few years before the game takes place. After a Flood infection form that stowed away during the events of the first game infected one of the crew members who was woken up to do periodic maintenance made her decide she was too far gone and essentially killed herself before she'd make an even bigger mistake.
That didn't answer his question. 🤦 He's asking how Serina predicted that the Spirit of Fire and its crew would be adrift in space for 28 years. There's no way in hell an AI can foresee that far into the future, even Cortana - an AI well above Serina, I might add - can't do something like that either.
