- Saw the Avata - wanted to buy it! Realized i couldn‘t afford it :-/ Decided to build one myself ^^
I'm using original DJI Avata frame replacement parts, the propeller guard and the upper part. Both can be purchased from DJI and from most shops. Designed the other parts that are needed myself.

Looks cool
Awesome!
This video is hilarious! Also nice work. Looks cool
Mmmh, seen that Carbon parts somewhere already ;-) Great Job, guess i have to build one aswell....
that might as well be ;-)
Awesome bro. Nice job. 💙💙👍👍
Mikey
huh smart
🤣 now make a custom cinewhoop with avata parts
haha, if they sell these for the same 50 bucks - in a hearbeat! :-)
Tu canal tiene una nueva miembro. Suscribi... Espero el siguiente video
glad to hear, thats much appreciated :-)
The frame is a tank I like the idea
espectacular
Wow a really cool build! Could you please share the stl files?
thanks! And i‘ll upload a video soon with all the details and link to the design files :-)
@@eyeflytinkerings thanks a lot 🤝
Awesome! And now you can make the O3 version.
Indeed!🙂 Just need an O3 air unit and Goggles 2... I'm open for donations 😛
Nice👍. From where did you buy the frame.
i got it from a reseller in Europe, but you can also find it on the DJI webshop :-)
@@eyeflytinkerings. Thanks friend.
Hola. El frame desde dónde lo tienes? Un saludo.
Hi! You can find the propeller guards and the top place in many shops that sell the Avata. It's also available for purchase directly from DJIs webshop. I've designed the remaining needed parts myself. A longer video will be up soon, where i'm also sharing the design files.
@@eyeflytinkerings supeeeer!!! Yo tengo los 2 partes comprado de.dji. me falta el frame!!! Gran trabajo!!! Enhorabuena!!! Crack 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Can you share the 3d printed parts need it to make it possible? I am very interested
Yes, for sure! Will share links with the next video.
@@eyeflytinkeringswhere that video?!😂😊
@@stickboyfpv4742 Darn, you got me here! Never came around doing that video sadly… but here are the files: www.thingiverse.com/thing:5908785
:-)
😂😂😂 should have waited for April 1st for this one
Now put DJI parts on carbon fiber frame and make it look good we all buy one
exactly what i did here ;-) Just added a link to the design files in the description
@@eyeflytinkerings I don’t see anything. I’m talking about putting the Avata components sensors motors fc everything on something like a killer bee frame.
@@myfalconry76 ooooh, got you wrong then. Right, that would also be interesting for sure!
How much does it weigh?
that majorly depends on the battery used. With a 3s850mAh and no GoPro, you can get it below 250g. With a 3s3000mAh Li-Ion you are close to the „real“ Avata. :-) Haven‘t tested this out for flight-times though, that’s for later.
and, what motors did you use?
I‘m using EMAX Eco 1404 with 6000kv. Details on why i choose these will follow in the video as well :-)
You get it under 250g? 😆
actually yeah, that’s well possible ^^
where did you get the center from part that holds the motors? I don't see that on the DJI Page.
Sorry for the late reply! I designed these myself and cut them out of carbon. I was already working on a full video with all details and links to the files. Sadly a nasty covid infection caused some delay. Hopefully i'll be able to upload it this week!
@@eyeflytinkerings I have an iFlight Beast I bought last year just because it had been sold out for months and I got an email saying it was available so I just bought it for no particular build, but it would be perfect for that "Fake Avata" build. It's a 25 x 25 AIO board, but it's like 60 amps or something ridiculous. I can but the parts from DJI, but I need that carbon fiber part which they do not sell (at least not to the general public).
@@Nine_883 That indeed sounds like a good fit :-)
@@eyeflytinkerings I need that carbon fiber piece man or I have no place to put mount motors.
What size of motors and props are you using ?
Sadly the Avata uses a non-typical size: 2,5". I just cut the tips off a few 3" propellers 🙂
And i'm using EMAX 1404 600kv on them, as i wanted to fly using 3s.
@@eyeflytinkerings thank you for the information. One Day, i Will do it :D
I was going to do this! Are you going to put a proper video up of it? I'd love to see it
Sorry for the late reply! I was already working on a full video with all details and links to the files. Sadly a nasty covid infection caused some delay. Hopefully i'll be able to upload it this week!
@@eyeflytinkerings great! I know people will say what's the point... but why not?! Ha. That's what the hobby is about.
Did you choose a generic whoop tune? Or did you tune it yourself? I can build this , and I'm pretty good on bf. But I'm not good at tuning lol
@@FPV-TV419 haha, yeah it really is a fun project mainly. However the frame is super sturdy for sure, so it does have some use :-) I haven't had much time to fly it yet, but currently it's still on BF standard-values. I'm sure there is a whoop preset around the will fit.
Dude !
whats the flight time
don't know yet ^^ With a 3s850mAh probably 5-7mins.... and using a 3s Li-Ion it should fly 14-15mins (at least thats what eCalc tells me).
Project for 3D print long range frame, discontinued?
oh no! It's definitely on - check eyeflydesigns.com - It's the "Tubular" frame series :-)
@@eyeflytinkerings I will see!
hahahah
hehe, sehr geil
WHAT can i get this we doing sub 250s ?
If you decase the vista and fly without a GoPro, sub250g is very well possible! I'll talk more about the build in the longer video, probably sometime next week.
@@eyeflytinkerings Thanks man really appriciate it had a good forken laugh thou hahaha
Why would it matter though? At that point you might as well grab a different FPV frame 😂 its an awesome little project but if ur worried about sub250 why would you use the DJI avata frame?
@@LZRFPV absolutely agree :-) If sub250g is your goal, i suggest using a different frame.
Still: the Avata frame is sturdier than any any other cinewhoop frame i've ever come across.
lol
Lol
