    one could posit that one could achieve better cinematic fpv shots with motion controller and head tracking on avata vs manual sticks, at least faster learning curve. great vid just what i was looking for!

    Thanks for posting this! Easy queazy lemon squeezy, but I gotta tell ya, it takes some getting used to. The "queazy" was real for me at first. It only happened when the head tracking was on, and that was because it took a while to distinguish my head movements from my motion controller movements vis a vis what I was seeing in the goggles. I had to get to a point where my mind automatically - and correctly - predicted what I should see with each movement, and that just takes a little time.

    You're a gifted man. How is it that you're able to use both you hand and your head, while standing and talking is beyond the comprehension of my vestibular system. For me, that would quickly end up with a bad-bad nausea 🤢

    This may sound really weird (and very stupid), but to get my head around flying with head tracking, I would hold the arm without the controller the way my head was pointing. My two arms would make an angle so I could better understand what was going where. Also helped me figure out that doing the "crucifixion pose" was how to go backwards. A skill that will be worthless in a few days when my RC2 finally shows up. Also, no gloves?! It's cold, you madman!

      Oh?! Maybe THAT'S why my Avata got stuck going backward! It freaked me out - I squeezed the trigger to go forward but the craft went backward, and I couldn't get it to change back to normal. I had to do a RTH and restart everything. But it all started after a move where I looked one way and turned the other way. Mystery solved?

      Wow, a RUclipsr that actually replies.😂 I think the hardest part about all of this is getting everything linked up, and synced up. I spent 1/2 a day till I found out I had to download some new stuff to my Com 2 so that it would link. But I know it will be worth it. Again enjoyed this one and now waiting for the rain to stop and go out and try the motion control and what you showed. Thanks

      @@nustartwellness4454 I have a feeling we both started about the same time. I also struggled getting it all connected, firmware updated, and synced, but now I'm flying all over the place, including inside my home. As a real estate photographer, I plan to created "fly-through" videos of homes. I do my first one this afternoon. Unfortunately it's not furnished, but will be good practice. I'm using the free GyroFlow software. That really makes it look great!

    Im wondering are the goggles and controller in sync with each other no matter which way you're facing like, Your 12 o' clock is the always the same even if your body decides to turn a 180 yet your goggles and controller are still relative to each other?

    • @BobsWorld_375
      @BobsWorld_375  Год назад +1

      The camera is linked to the head tracking so where you look is where the camera points. The motion controller controls the flight so it does effect the camera as well but it is more exaggerated with the head tracking on.

  • @driverman8615
    @driverman8615 Год назад

    Head tracking is just to "see" where you are?

    • @BobsWorld_375
      @BobsWorld_375  Год назад +1

      Not totally...it allows you to look in different directions even if the drone is flying in a different direction. So let's say you are flying straight and want to see down and to the left. Instead of turning the drone that direction you can keep flying straight but still look down and to the left by just moving your head in that direction.

  • @driverman8615
    @driverman8615 Год назад

    Does the head tracking "fly" the drone too? Or just the controller does that?

    • @BobsWorld_375
      @BobsWorld_375  Год назад

      Just the controller movements

    • @TheInvisibleRedneck
      @TheInvisibleRedneck 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@BobsWorld_375so if im flying in a straight direction and I do not move the controller at all, but I look left, it will continue to fly in the original straight line? Kinda like driving down a straight road and looking out they side window? I'm still driving straight, but I'm looking at what im passing?
      Anyway, that was a long question. I think i'll just go try this now and find out, 😂

    • @BobsWorld_375
      @BobsWorld_375  8 месяцев назад +1
