Orbit takes a bit of practice. The way I think of it is always concentrate on the circle, that’s where you are flying, but think of the headtracking as your composition of the shot. So fly round your tower using the circle, and once you’ve done a few laps, turn your head to look at the tower as you’re still flying around it. Hope that makes sense and helps a little 👍🏻 keep up with the practice 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you, Jackie! The last couple of times that I've flown, I've been able to orbit with head tracking. I'm not sure that I'll ever be completely comfortable with it.
Thanks for the tutorial on setting the rates for the motion controller, I need to get mine adjusted for my liking. I haven’t tried head tracking yet, or attempted a full orbit with the motion controller yet. I'm still getting just used to doing simple things, taking off, landing, not crashing...LOL.
Been fun watching you get comfortable with the Motion Controller!! Using Head Tracking enough will break that tendency of looking down while flying. It did for me. I can see how much better you are with the Motion Controller now. Its coming along for you now.
Great video, Marcus 👍 I have a hard time with head tracking it makes me really dizzy almost nauseous. I need to spend more time myself maybe that will go away
@@IdahoQuadcopter I’ve had my Avata for about 4 weeks and haven’t tried head tracking yet. I sure wish I have more daylight. I just haven’t had enough daylight to do the things I want to with it. It will take some practice but I think head tracking will work well
Looks like it's going to flip over and fall out of the sky lol. I thought you was going to fall out of the chair too. I've got neck problems so all that head movement stuff probably won't work for me but it was fun watching you try to figure it out. I just ordered an Avata and I got the manual controller too because I'm not sure if I can use that wand thing. It reminds me of the wi bowling game for the tv.
Nice job Marcus! Definitely a learning curve especially coming from camera drones! I haven’t tried the head tracking yet but have tried rotation with the motion controller. I wasn’ t too successful! You did a MUCH better job. I need to try out rotation with the FPV RC . Thanks for putting this together.
I wish I could adjust my thumb control rates. My thumbs are out of control sometimes! 😉 - I don't know Marcus... I'm starting to think about maybe getting an Avata -see what you started?
Outstanding video! Yeah the head tracking is a bit weird. It works quite well if you're flying along and want to get a top down view... But then you feel like you're going to crash onto the ground. Certainly needs practice! 🙂👍
I love mine now Juane. Love doing a fast turn but looking backwards as I do it. Especially if another Avata following 🤣 see them before you flick back past them
I think Marcus the avatar wasn't meant for doing orbits etc more of a fast action drone ducking and diving.if you want to do orbits etc the mini 3 pro is your choice. Ps love your videos
@@IdahoQuadcopterUpdate at first watching many reviews of the Avata and the motion controller I really didn’t think I would like it. But since then I have ordered and received the Avata pro view combo that comes with the motion controller 2 and goggles 2. I went ahead and ordered the fpv controller 2 and fly more kit. Since actually trying the motion controller I have changed my mind about it and it’s really fun to fly with. It’s definitely easier to use than I had originally imagined. Actually the whole avata is easier to fly in normal mode and not manual mode. I am not very good at flying Acro mode I still am practicing it in the simulator. But I really like the Avata on my second flight I was going through tight spaces and flying closer to obstacles than I would dare even attempt with any of my other Drones. I am surprised you have not flown your avata at the snake river canyon yet. That would probably be a lot of fun.

Yes Ron, we both need more practice with that head tracking. 🙂 Thank you for dropping by!
Do the head tracking Ron!!! It really opens up what the drone is capable of
@@BaqPaqJaq I will, once I get more experience. Thanks Jackie.
I won't use head tracking with my allergies.. If I sneeze, who know what I'll end up hitting. Great info here Marcus. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you, Rod! I do need to practice more.
Practice make perfect and you've got all summer to get there. Good luck, as you have far more patience than I do. Thanks for sharing.
It will take some practice Del! It will never replace my camera drones. 🙂
@@IdahoQuadcopter Affirmative here too! 🙃
Great video, Marcus 👍 I have a hard time with head tracking it makes me really dizzy almost nauseous. I need to spend more time myself maybe that will go away
Thank you, Shawn! It's going to take some practice for sure!
It does get better! I promise. I felt a bit nauseous first time, but I love mine now. Jackie
Good video Marcus
Thank you Lyn!
Thanks for sharing another chapter in your “Book of Avata.”
My pleasure George! Thank you for watching!
You're definitely getting better at the Avata, it's a tough learning curve coming from camera drones. Great video, Marcus
It is an interesting drone, and it's indeed a steep learning curve Alan! 🙂
Marcus It will come with practice but it takes some getting used too
Thank you Jim! I'll keep after it!
You proved to me the that the head tracking is the way to do circular flying.
I agree. I need to practice head tracking more.

Awesome job Marcus . 👊🏻look at you mr Fpv now 🦾👌
Ha! In my dreams Michael!
OK, my friend lets get that bird in the air😃 great video
Deal! Thank you Robert!
Hi Marcus.......Move over Dobo.....Marcus is on the rise.......🤣🤣🤣
I mean they do two different drone things but OK
I'm having fun with this one Jim! 😀
I can't even get an orbit done with my fpv using sticks! I can't imagine trying to do it with the motion controller!

Wonderful video my friend +👍🔔
Thank you very much!
Hey Marcus Crawford
Does the avata have the standard dji geofencing?
Yes, it sure does.
@@IdahoQuadcopter thanks!
You will be Canyon ready with the Avata before you know it.
I look forward to flying the canyon with the Avata! 🙂
A good habit when flying fpv is to hold your head upright....
Easier said than done Jason! 😀
@@IdahoQuadcopter You can do anything!!
👍👍✌️
Thank you sir!
🤝😎
Thank you Jesus!
I don’t like the motion controller I would just order the DJI fpv controller and pair it up with the avata
Yes, many people do. 👍
