Marcus, you are getting better with every battery!!!! Keep it up. I am a bit more daring now with mine and it shows (I crashed 3 times yesterday on on battery) but learning what I can and can't do. Thank you for sharing.
I got the Avata, I haven't tried the motion controller, I bought the other regular controller. It's a whole different app it seems in the goggles. I just figured out how to get in manual mode a few minutes ago. The head tracking and motion controller seems like it would be hard to get use to. You're doing a great job of flying and talking. My first few flights the RTH got me. It's a whole new game for sure.
I bought an Avata a couple of months ago after saying FPV wasn't for me. I fly with the motion controller 2, I love it so much that I bought an extra pair of goggles so that my autistic son can watch the flight real time in audience mode. It takes a few minutes to get used to flying a cinematic drone after flying the Avata.
Nice tutorial on how to use the Motion Controller 2, I still getting used to it, and still prefer flying with the sticks. I haven’t tried head tracking yet, and I haven’t felt a need for heading tracking yet, someday it will occur to me to use. Great video, and thanks for sharing.
LOVING your content. I am enjoying watching your evolution. Just got my MC2 and Integra combo for flying my Mini3 Pro. I can see it's going to take a minute to get used to it, but I am already loving it. BTW, I made a comment on one of your videos about keeping head up and neck strain...HA ! Now that I have some objective reality .... the goggles are surprisingly comfortable 'lightweight' and balanced. I retract the comment. The Avata looks like a lot of fun. And yes! When I saw those aluminum stairs I chuckled, I would have done the same thing. But I know it's earmarked... as well as the Carmax sign. Again loving the content and watching the evolution. When you get the Avata dialed in, will you take us to Snake Canyon for a tour?
Thanks for the helpful info. Good stuff. I have the Mini 3 Pro with the MC2 and Integra goggles, and everything you demonstrated in your video applies to my setup too. I’ve been practicing at a local high school football field and stadium, which is a good way to develop a comfort level. Just like you, taking it slow at first. Especially the head tracking mode. Haven’t developed a feel for it yet, and am not sure what problem it solves. But I’m sure there’s something useful about it. Maybe it’s getting a better view of the object your flying around. Tbd.
Great video! Youre doing well with that controller. I keep forgetting about the little joystick on it! I love flying low and fast(ish) . And any gap you get through is an accomplishment in my book 😃👍
Hey marcus agree fully with not keeping horizon level and the batteries start discharging so quickly really need charged the night before a flight and they take so long to charge compared to the mavic and minis.and I am sure you may agree the avata is so much fun flying with the goggles is next level. Keep up the good work its all coming together 👍
Hopefully soon, you will get the Controller 2 and do some manual mode fun! The controller I think is pretty sweet for some jobs where it has good smooth control and any one can learn it quickly. Some this might make it easier then handing them the Controller 2 in normal mode because it would have more of a learning curb than the Motion Stick. Love the Avata!
@@IdahoQuadcopter I used to use it with my Avata and just fly between stuff and it was a lot of fun with the motion controller. That was before I got the controller 2. I haven’t used the motion controller for a long time. I need to take it out sometime for fun or use it on occasion.
Hello Marcus , love ur video, that gap under the stairs was itching to be flown beneath. Im just as careful as you cos its not a race is it. Anyway lovely vide ps you’re gonna love the proper rc when you get it. Do u have it yet
Great video, Marcus. Which goggles have you used? I'm trying to understand which is better for me: The Goggles 2, or the Integra. What's your opinion there?
Hey Marcus, I find that the Avata batteries don't stay "topped up" for very long either. Even if you wait 2 or 3 days, the storage percentage drops dramatically.... so now I charge the night before. (Assuming I have a plan to fly)... love the AVATA!!! ❤
Jim, your spot on with the batteries they drop very quickly. I tried pressing the button to reset them so they don't discharge, but they still start to discharge. I really need to charge the night before a flight 👍
they are automatically discharging because keeping a lipo at 100% for even a week will have permanent damage. theyll discharge down to 60% in 9 days on purpose, they warn you that the batteries will even get warm during this process
@@jeffsond they won’t over charge but as i said keeping your batteries at 100% for any amount of time will decrease its lifespan by perhaps a negligible amount, so it probably won’t matter. but i think they’re more concerned about the fact that you’re charging the batteries “unattended” not that they’ll explode during your sleep but if it happened you’d have a worse time finding that out
Marcus Crawford... flying along with his Avata, minding his own beezwax and...CELL TOWER! All rational thought has left the building! Must. Orbit. Tower. There, I feel better. 😂😁😅
Awesome vid! You do realize I am gonna have to put a second mortgage on the farm to satisfy my addiction!! I do still hold my private pilot licence so think I could catch on??
@@IdahoQuadcopter As flying in a real plane I never flew that close to the ground,ok my bro and I made our part time living crop spraying which did require close to the ground maneuvers!! Maybe that's why it scares me so much because I actually think I'm in that drone!! Having so much fun learning!!
Goggles are not for me, but you are doing well, buddy. And those “portable” or “relocatable” classrooms as they are called are a terrible investment, in my view. One of my superintendents here suggested using them. It took me about one hour to convince the school board members that they were an awful idea. You found the best use for them-flying your Avata.
Hello, I'm getting a "motion controller errorr" message..I think this happened after a firm ware update. Any suggestions how to fix this? I have the RC2 motion controller.
If I was wearing a hat, I would take it off to you! You're doing great! Does that controller feel like rubbing your belly and patting your head at the same time?
I really enjoyed this experience you shared, I hope you continue making videos like this.
Thank you, I sure will.
Thanks Markus for those calm and fluid videos with the motion 2.
Thank you so much!
I think that I have watched all your Avata videos, amazing how quickly you have progressed. Excellent flight Marcus.
Thank you very much! It's all about having fun! 🙂
I love it, your having fun with it!!! Good job Marcus, and CONGRATS AGAIN ON 20K SUBS BROTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Matty! I so appreciate it!

100% improvement since your maiden flight. Bravo!
Ha! Yes, my first flight was crazy! 😄
Oh no rain!!! Glad you are having fun with the low flying sports car 😂
It's exactly like a sports car, Jackie! 😄
Very entertaining narration on the fly.Fresh approach.
I like doing live narration. It can be a challenge with the Avata! 😂
OK my friend, let’s get this bird in the air. Great video as well.
Thank you Robert!
Great flight Marcus I can’t wait to get tha avata

Idaho FPV. Great Job Marcus. i Gotta try the head tracking again.
You should Mr. Johnnie!!
Good video for beginners, thank you! Does the downward sensor prevent you from hitting the ground in Normal and Sport modes?
I'm not sure anything can stop you from hitting the ground with an FPV drone. 👍
