Nov.11th 2023. I had heard of the stock props exploding in flight and finally had it happen yesterday. I had never had the stock props off, bought the Avata in May, probably had about 100 flights. I had never over tightened them or have I ever crashed or hit anything with them. I ordered the 4 blade prop that you talked about in here. I cant trust the stock props until DJI gets to the bottom of why they are failing.
Thank you for this video. You saved me testing the same, and I got myself an orange and a cyan 4 blades. As for the sound: I agree it is not any quieter, but one thing I noticed is that when flying indoors, somehow the 4 blades sounds louder than the 5 blades. I think this is due to the difference in the sound pitch, that is probably resonating differently.
Best test and review of this blades ever. I used all of them already and we share the same opinion. 3 blades are not an option for me, they cant make acro at all, always kicking to normal mode. The 4 blades are fantastic. The downside? Im already at the 4th pack as they all break at a very minor crash, and the dji stock ones are a tank and i never never broke one.
I actually believe most of the advantage comes from the larger cord of the airfoil at the props root/hub. They are trying to better distribute lift generated across the prop which has the upshot of then requiring lower RPM to achieve a hover (for instance). This is how they improve battery life a bit.
I’d add I think you will only get maximum acceleration in manual mode. I believe the flight controller mostly limits performance even in sport. Based on your thrust test, I believe that you absolutely should see improved time to top speed with either of the MAS props. IMHO of course 😊
I used the 4 blade master airscrew. Utter garbage lasted 10 flights, went for climb and a loop during the loop rear props exploded causing the Avata to plummet into the ground.
Ok thanks… so this would only be an advantage for using the Avata in the manual mode? I only have the motion 2 controller. Would this be a waste of $$ for me?
I have a question, do you know somebody or company that can make the axysflying conversion kit for me for my avata? Thanks buddy and continue the great videos!
While not truly "scientific" this is the best test of the MAS prop options I've seen. Blades are the only thing easy to swap out on the Avata, so it's a logical market for b.s. claims from aftermarket scammers. The 4 blades may be marginally better (twice as good?🤣) but the 3 blades are actually worse! Marketing hype for suckers.

wtf, that's horrifying, Did you had anything extra mounted on it ?
Props failed to me too.
I was starting a flight, and suddenly the one bottom left exploded. Dunno why
This video was exactly what I needed to make a decision on buying new props. Thanks for doing the research so we didn’t have to.
That is what we do. You are welcome.

Thanks. I tried to make a complete review
Você acha que as helice originais são fortes? Estava pensando em pegar as MAS pelo fato que ouvi dizer que as originais estavam quebrando facilmente.

@@lopesdev obrigado pelo feedback, irei adiquirir as MAS para meu Avata ❤️
Awesome tests, Jack. Those 4 bladed props are great!
Thanks. I’m a fan.

The new Master Airscrew propellers for avata 2 are out, will you do tests for them as well?
Potentially. Have a few things in the works right now.
Thanks for this video as well I prefer the sound pitch of the three bladed props so pretty glad I have them coming in the mail.
Sounds like a win for you
Which one is more durable? and more flight time? SD card Acess?

I want to learn to use fpv drones but the price of fpv drones in Indonesia is a bit expensive especially dji ...😞
They are expensive
Great job 👏🏽 interesting information!!!!!

No. They are more responsive in general.
Great test

why the squeel that comes from props? can you fix it?
Like always awesome video, but please don't forget about doing that review on the walkera t210 mini, thanks !
I’m looking into it. Thanks.
Estou precisando de novas hélices e com essse video me ajudou me decidir pelas hélices de 4 pás. Show 🤩🪽
What about Max Speed?
Thanks for the info!! Off subject here… did you have and motion sickness when first flying with goggles?
I didn’t but I do know people that have.
happened to me the first couple of times i flew manual. I find it best to sit in a chair and lean my head back against something.
Do you really lose a warranty if you change the blades?
I don't think so, I'd have to check.
3 blade all day

They all sound bad
