    Sorry about your crash, but I’m glad to see you got the drone back and your back in the air again. Nice flight, that a good space to practice in. I got the Avata in, and I’ve only had a few flights so far, I like it so far. Great video Chad, and thanks for sharing.

    I’m going back to stock props too. I tried MAS 3 and 4 blade props. To my ears the 3 blade props had a little pitch than the 4 blade and stock props. The MAS props do seem more brittle. I cracked the 3 blade props on a very minor crash. I’ve crashed the stock 5 blade props pretty hard with no damage.

    Dang it! I love the way the MAS props look! I got the 3 blade and the dang drone won't fly "freestyle" at all spirit freaking out. I crashed twice over it. Really weird.

    • @ChadB
      @ChadB  Год назад

      Yeah, I didn't really like the 3 blade. Seemed a little "floaty" when flying.
      Did you damage the props when you crashed?

  • @LoVeAmBiEnT

    I put the three blades on my avatar two. Amazing since the first version is heavier these things just carry it so nicely but yeah if you crash they’re gonna break but that’s why I just keep the stock ones on hand. And I’ll probably buy about 10 sets.

    You have to get a real fpv drone. You’ll love it. The avata is a good way to learn but compared to a 5 inch , it’s a paper plate. Get a nice 5 inch diatone Roma or an iflight anything and you’ll see the difference. I promise you, you’ll love it. And go for a 6s. Trust me

      Never had the original props break. Just got a couple of nicks. However, I've broken an ORANGE prop. Only one blade broke in half. It didn't totally disintegrate like the Master Airscrew.

      i already break 3 of the original ones :D they just blowned up after 4-6m height drops from crash.... :D 1 is blowned up while doing turle so it was probably already hurt in the crash :D

Wasn't even pushing it when it happened, flying on manual straight and bam, it tumbled down and when I got the drone back, 1 prop was completely gone.

    Your project frame rate settings are not good, how come you are not bothered with those framerate hiccups, or is it just me? Those tiny for example (49.97 fps, I dont know exact value) play a huge difference, try it. You see, based on that value every X frame gets skipped.

  • @ALTN8NRG

    I learned about props the hard way. A little flex is good. Rigid props are brittle and prone to stress cracks which can result in failure.

    I gave up on Master Airscrew when I purchased the props for my Air 2. They weren’t enough of an upgrade to justify flying with them. Possibly voiding my care refresh. They also felt flimsy.
    I used the Master Airscrew props for my original Air and was happy with the product. They definitely made a difference in the noise pitch.
    I’ve heard nightmare stories with the foldable Phantom 4 Pro Master Airscrew props. One of my boys received a notification and the P4P quickly fell out the sky. He didn’t have time to react. One of the props failed. Those props required a little more assembly to install so Master Airscrew never took accountability for that disaster.
    I had purchased those foldable props for my P4P as well but after hearing what happen I decided to not install them.
    So now I just avoid that brand altogether.

    I don't have a Avata but do have an air 2s and mavic 3 classic. I definitely notice a pitch change with the master air screw but both drone sets of blades eventually start to loose balance and tend to shake the rear arms even just sitting on the ground with the props going. The air 2s was even slightly moving towards the left just sitting on my driveway. I always wonder if the shaking will eventually put stress cracks in parts of the rear arms. I have gone back to the stock props but definitely notice the buzzing sound difference with the standard props.

    Things they don't tell you.
    Don't waste your time or money, it's a r1p0ff. Nobody is going to pay you to fly an RC toy around the sky, any more than they'd pay you to drive an RC truck around on the ground.

    I've never flown a drone before. I'm curious, the view through the goggles, do you get a sense of 3D dimensionality similar to an Oculus VR system or is it like looking at a flat image/screen?

    • @ChadB
      @ChadB  Год назад +1

      Not 3D, but more like sitting in an IMax theater.

    • @Numitronic
      @Numitronic Год назад +1

      Doing such a thing would require either a stereoscopic camera on the drone, or another form of depth perception (like a depth camera on the drone or AI depth reconstruction in the headset). There's a few technological challenges to doing that.
      Haven't seen such a thing with drones yet. FPV is still in 2D but it's still much more immersive than looking at a screen.

    I watched you fly in this video and have absolutely come to the conclusion that you are absolutely ready for a five inch fpv. Grab one and you’ll never fly that avata again. Just make sure to get a remote that isn’t that little grey dji one, it sucks. Grab a remote with full gimbals. The throws on the dji one are too short. The other dji(black one) is awesome. But it won’t work with goggles2. Will with the v2. Confusing, I know. But trust me, you’re ready, and it’s night and day. You will love it.
