21 community patch is an interesting choice, considering there's 22 beta. The community patch is a good addon. I can't imagine how slow this would run with pch filtered shadows and raytraced shadows turned on
Doomsday engine still has the best true 3D enhancements I've seen so far even if it could use an update. This one has interesting effects but as others have pointed out, it falls into the trap of wet surface everywhere to look modern.

I just tried this and for some reason I can’t get Raytracing Enabled and my computer supports it. It’s the same old doom game raytracing involved. Maybe it’s not finished yet and this is just a test play. I don’t know.

Hi Dude I use Doom Mod Loader version 2.5 BRUTALV21.13.1 RELIGHTING V4.0165B DHTP_NORMAL DOOM3DO FLASHLIGHT_PLUS_PLUS_V8_5 GEARBOX-V0.6.0 HDTEXTURES LTP V5.1 Only Knee-Deep in the Dead is totally playable. But sometimes it's crash on first level, or second. I was able to play the first chapter many times. I think the problem come from RELIGHTING mod's. I hope the futur update of VKDoom will settle this issue. I'm going to make a long play of Knee-Deep in the Dead song, and i show my in game settings. I wish you a nice day !

Why does everyone go hog wild on the parallax mapping? It's way too extremely exaggerated, which makes seams look terrible because the effect doesn't line up, and it just looks bad when you're looking at the texture with bumps that are like 2-4 inches high, sometimes not even lined up with the texture itself.
Weird config to make everything super glossy, looks like grease on every surface. Does this support having non-grease option but adding even a slight bump mapping to all surfaces? That should still look nice with subtle details.
Given the relatively small size and lack of map complexity, it doesn't seem like it would be difficult to create a procedural level generator. Imagine Doom with infinite levels, each with a 16 hex char seed so you could share especially good ones with your friends. And of course, multiplayer along with that would be the icing on the cake.
So far of seeing this mod the only thing that looks weird is how there’s hyper realistic textures and then you see that everything other than the environment textures are pixelated so I would want there to be pixelated textures, but still with the Reflections

Why does all the audio sound like it's being played twice slightly out of sync? I could understand it as some kind of environmental reverb if it was just the sound effects, but the music is doing it too -- really noticeable on the snare hits. I have the 3DO soundtrack so I know it doesn't usually sound like that :)

raytracing work only if is implement in the map. all effect from relighting in this case.
