I’m not thick on the spanner’s usually but I know the firing order and cylinder layout are different on the french motors sometimes. My 2012 focus has a number 2 injector issue too and I couldn’t fathom whether number 1 was on the left or right. I’m following your lead as 1 is on the left. I saw for volvo and peugeot 4nm + 45 degrees with the same motor as in the video. Is 27nm a reliable value? It is quite tight. I tried several tightening 4nm,8nm and 13 nm and I have leakage
Hello, many thanks for your sharing video. It helped a lot, but I ran into a problem after the exchange. After replacing the injection with a refurbished one, the injector now knocks. Can you please tell me how many NM you tightened the injection holder on. Or do you have no advice on what could cause this knock after the injector replacement? There was no knock before the exchange. Coding new one is done. Thank you
Good video but I’m using iCarsoft diagnostics . I’m unable to change injector codes . Any advice . I’ve erased learned values and driven 19 miles seems to be running good but I’m annoyed I’m unable to change injector codes
That's a PSA dv6c and the earlier dv6 and this dv6c engine and cylinder one is at gearbox end u know being a Citroën technician and know that engine well
@@simonedwards1653 i had to unplug one injector then fire it up to see the open fault code and this car listing it as cylinder 1 from the timing belt side. this is when ford and the french stick their head together, a big pile of foggy indefinition, Even the ford dealer said program it to firing order over the phone! i had to check a newer focus with the same engine just to find it it is programmed from the flywheel side, same with a peugeot 3008. If in doubt, check yourself is the lesson for me. thanks for trying to help tough!
After I had some issue with my engine power my mechanic changed one of my injector, after one year the issue returned so I add liquid moly to my diesel and after one month I decided to check if my mechanic changed the code in ECU, and I found that he didnt, so I changed the injector number in ECU by myself to correct numbers, and what I probable made wrong I restarted all injectors. After that the engine in my Ford C max 1.6 tdci is not responding. I know that I have errors in 1 and 4 cylinder low pressure, the third injector was substtitute by my mechanic, I kmow that injectors works in pairs, so I suppose I have foulty injector 1 or 4, and I changed code of 3 rd injectors. I am about to clean injectors, I hope they are not all need to be removed. Is it worth trying ? Should I now remove all errors from the ECU ? or wait until I clean injectors ? By the way, I am plumber not mechanic.

@@Firby1988 yes many generic scantools will allow you to code the injectors to the ecu. The long number printed on the cap of the injectors are all you need
Thank you for the informative video. I have a 2011 Mazda 3 1.6 diesel that has the same engine as the Ford Focus diesel. It has a P1262 error code suggesting a faulty fuel injector at cylinder 2. I was thinking of replacing the fuel injector and seal myself but your video suggest it would need to be reprogrammed. Do you think if the fuel injector is actually faulty and I replaced it myself, would the engine get out of limp mode and be drivable to the Mazda dealer?
Chingy The car will most likely be drivable if the injector is replaced, however you may still need a scantool to clear any fault codes that have put the car into a limp home mode. Also expect the engine to be hesitant/stumbling as the pilot and main injection maps will not have been reset.

Hi, i have reset fuel injector value factors even though i havent replaced new injectors. What happened now is that engine is working strangely, and cylinder contribution values changed on live data. I checked all the injectors and their values match the values in ecu, so what could be wrong ?
Your engine may have to run through a complete drive cycle before it runs as it did before. On many Ford vehicles, this can take a while, up to 50 miles of driving in different speeds/load profiles.

@@nrlOO After reset of injectors memory, you have to make an "learning" of injectors. You have to warm up your engine, go for a short trip, and few times speed up from 2000rpm to 3000rpm (on 3 or 4 or 5 gear), and then wait when engine will go down from 3000rpm till 2000rpm(without breaking) . You have to do it few times (7-10times) and then injectors should finish the procedure of learning.(injector learning show parameter, which name I don't remember, but range is 0 till 7, (which 7 mean full learned)
My diagnostic mechanic mate said you don't even need to reprogram in the new injectors so just plug and play the new or used one, simple, don't pay for a rip off mechanic for a two minute reprogramming folks
