Class of '88. It was the most amazing era to have grown up in. Went to so many concerts because there were so many great bands that it wasn't unusual to be going every weekend. Thankfully tickets back then were nothing like today's prices because back then they made money off of album sales, not the concerts like they do today. Concerts were used to drive album sales. Now that the songs are all digital and traded, the sales of the music isn't enough to support the tours. And the tours are getting so expensive that the average person isn't able to attend one show a year let alone several. I feel sorry for today's younger people who will never experience what we did in the 80's.
We had some of the best music. Bobby Brown, M C Hammer, Bon Jovi, Poison, Def Leppard, Aerosmith, Run DMC, The Beastie Boys, too many to name. Just fun music to sing and dance to
Rock the Night by Europe is another one of the bands best. Notice the continuous flow in both tracks. No wasted time on filler noise. All the riffs and melodies flow into a life of their own. Good flow and energy!1 The band still has all original members to this day and they're all high school buddies from a small Swedish town. They dreamed big obviously with a name like Europe, and they wanted to be a world touring band. This track opened the door for that and their high school dream manifested quickly. Been a fan since the first time I heard this song. Peace.
I remember The Final Countdown from Europe first came out in the 1980's and it was huge all over the world, The band Europe came from Sweden which is in Europe just like my country of England. The Band Europe won a platinum Album for The Final Countdown which sold millions of records all over the world for the band Europe. If you have never ever heard this song then you must have been living on another planet. 💂♂️💂♂️🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴🏴💙💛🇺🇦🇺🇦🇸🇪🇸🇪
Hello, A song that brings me back to the 80's it's a trip down memory lane there were so many good groups in that time the music was so good and they were all wonderfull thank you to react to this one. Love the 80's Greetings from the Netherlands
Ahhh the decade where I was 4” taller thanks to Aqua Net Extra Super Hold hairspray and a curling iron. The higher the hair the closer to God, baby!! 😁 I was in Jr High in the 80’s but still remember those days fondly. I was a fan of the hair bands like Europe. I loved Def Leopard, Motley Crue and Van Halen. Then we had the beginnings of rap music where even the white guys like The Beastie Boys and Vanilla Ice saw fame. There were great pop artists like Huey Lewis & The News and Robert Palmer too. I’d love to watch you watch the Peter Gabriel video for Sledgehammer, it’s a pure 80’s classic from the days when MTV was young and still actually played music videos. Folks didn’t get so easily offended back then and didn’t make a big deal out of the things they do now. Some even had manners that they minded. Those were the days!
I only learned this is an actual song when I started watching reactions! I just knew it as the song that played when the Pistons were being introduced at home games back in the day
OHW. But if that's all you get it might as well be cool like this one. "Carrie" made a tiny mark, but this is pretty much it in the states. I can't believe they didn't get more love than this. I had hair like that when I was 19, but the Navy changed all that.
The story tells, lead singer Joe Tempest came up with the synth riff in just 20 minutes one late night when he bought the only syntesizer in colleage from a friend.
I was 10 when this song came out. My cousin and I (2 10 yr old girls) would be playing with our dinkies on the bed with all the Lego buildings lined up, and then we'd play this song during an "earthquake" in our dinky word (shaking the bed, lol). One of my most remembered 80s songs.
So Jared Padalecki (Supernatural/Walker) tells a story about being in a crowded men's room. All stalls filled. He starts playing The Final Countdown on his phone. Stalls empty out quickly.
The great..."Hair Bands"! The 80's were big hair bands that were great and a lot of great pop music! I went to more concerts in the 80s than some people have been to in the entire lives! 😂😂😂
Rock the Night is another banger from them, & I second you checking out Wasted Time by Skid Row. I also want to request Storytime live at Wacken 2013 by Nightwish 😊
I love this song. 80’s/early 90’s hair bands were my thing back in the day, but I am not sure if this band had any other hits. I may be wrong, but I think they might be a one hit wonder. At least as far as I remember. An internet search might prove me wrong. If you want suggestions for 80’s hair bands, Tesla would be a great one, Warrant too, more Bon Jovi (I posted a whole list for them before). Great White, more Def Leppard. That’s enough for now.
Ty for saying your a Star Trek AND Star Wars fan. Most people compare them all like they are all the same. Yeah, fruits if you will: apples and oranges. You can't compare. The more reactions from you, the more I like you.
Gen X in the room. We had a great time, yes sir!!!!!! Bon fire, woods, beer and smoke, Friday Saturday summer fall winter nights, our music, we were good to go.
You got to check these 2 bands out just for the hair and costumes. Versailles Revenant Choir (male) And Aldious Absolute live (female) You also mentioned anime Do Lovebites Winds of Transylvania Vlad Love version that is an anime and the music they wrote for it.
They use this for commercials all the time. You should check out the group Asia. They have 3 great songs for you!!! My absolute fav is "Only Time Will Tell". You will enjoy it, I'd bet the farm,, if I had a farm.
the band europe be from sweden the lead singer be joey tempest and was a sexy and a wicked pretty fella still is and l love his voice the intro be played at sporting events like basketball games the album the final countdown was released in 1986(my senior year of high school) they still be together and tourin naw it be just ya l dun think they look like super saiyans l had joey's pic on my bedroom wall l also has this album it be 3x platinum(sellin 3,000,000 copies) in the us
Great teaction man!! Would love to see your reaction to a more recent epic EUROPE song: NO STONE UNTURNED! Theres no video, but the audio is on their official channel europethebandtv Give it a spin!
Please, please, please! Do Rick Astley! He's from the 80s. I double checked your list of artists you've already done. Please! His vibe at the time was not the same as some of the other bands you've listened to, more Pop than Rock. However, he's also covered some Foo Fighters more recently, which was a pleasure to listen to as well.
Joey was only 17 when this song released. He also wrote the song. Very talented kid!
He was 23 when this song was released, he wrote the song when he was 17 though.
80's had some of the best music.

According to Wikipedia their Final Countdown album was certified triple platinum in the US when it came out in ‘86
Now that’s a blast from the past. My era was the 70s but of course I remember this!
This song is so well played, you most likely heard this at any sports event.

Im 24 but I love the 80s genre of music so lively and entergetic
I was 10 when this song came out. My cousin and I (2 10 yr old girls) would be playing with our dinkies on the bed with all the Lego buildings lined up, and then we'd play this song during an "earthquake" in our dinky word (shaking the bed, lol). One of my most remembered 80s songs.

I had some awesome 80s hair...lol. Those were the days.
This was the intro for the Bad Boys 1989 Detroit Pistons!
Yes they are all from Europe! Sweden to be exact.
You were right about the horn and piano. Keyboards then could let you change sounds. Play like a piano but sound like a horn, violin, clarinet etc.
Seriously this is the only hairstyle that my hair did well. 😂😂 Please react to Stray Kids - S class
Got this on LP, extended mix
