The best thing about GnR is that they killed Heavy Metal. All of the hairspray and Spandex bands saw this and said, "It's over. We can't outdo this". There was never another Metal band after GnR. That left a vacuum, and into it slipped Nirvana and Grunge.
I’m sorry to say GnR was the worst concert I have ever been to. Still love them, but the band was having drama between themselves, some had diva issues. They were 3 hours late in starting, and I don’t know if it was equipment issues or what, but they sounded like rubbish. Only saving grace, Soundgarden was the opening act. They were were class. You did a reaction to Chris Cornell covering Nothing Compares 2U. He was lead singer of Soundgarden.
