Hi AB! I love Guns and Roses! Everyone is gonna recommend Welcome to the Jungle, but my favorite is November Rain. Slightly more mellow than this but still very good!. The guitar player, Slash, is easily one of the most skilled and recognizable guitar players in the world. Also, Axl Rose has probably one of the most distinct voices in Rock music. If your gonna stick with 80s Rock, maybe try Def Leppard's Pour Some Sugar On Me. Classic 80s Rock right there!
Patience is right up there with November Rain, as well as Estranged....
I definitely agree on November Rain
Exactly the 2 songs I was going to suggest November Rain is my favorite too
Rock me like a hurricane, scorpions
My favorites are Civil War and Estranged
Slash is the guitar player with lots of black curly hair, the man is a wonderful musician, if you check out November Rain, you will see one of his epic guitar solos and the crazy diversity of the group.
Slash didn't advertise being of mixed parentage. A big bear of a man, well spoken and intelligent. He just didn't talk the first 30 years.
@@tcscushing Lol we didn’t think he had eyes! God he’s beautiful. So glad he survived…Seen them twice at work and drooled a lil each time. And Duff is just so precious. And Axl…well his growth is a godsend. Nope I said it..Their reunion was one of the FEW good parts of 2016.
Do Paradise City. Slash kills it on the solo!
I'd suggest this one , as well.
Slash kills it every time on EVERYTHING!! 😂
One of the most versatile rock bands ever! Some more Guns N' Roses OJ for you: Hard rocking songs would be "Mr. Brownstone" and "Paradise City", and the more mellow choices of "Patience" and "November Rain".
I can’t wait to hear more from them! 👍🏾😱🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
November Rain - Slash has 3 solos and they are AH-MAZING
Axl Rose had a five octave range in his prime.
Range yes! But as a vocal coach for 30 years ... 5 octaves? No 😉
Oh wow
@@cdgee6399 F1-B6 I tried to link some articles about it but RUclips keeps deleting comments with outside links.
@@cdgee6399 F1 to Bb6, check it out, dude has got a span, haha
@@cdgee6399 That is what has been said about his range for years......i've heard him sing some good baritone and some high tenor in his time......you need to correct google and all the articles then.....LOL
This was fun. This was from their debut album . For a few years, these guys were juggernauts in the rock world. If you want to see some real guitar wizardry, look up Stevie Ray Vaughan. Pride and Joy and Texas Flood are good choices, but make sure you get one of the live versions. He has to be seen to be believed, and it will still melt your brain.
Patience is another favorite of theirs
Came out right after my daughter Patience was born.
Guns N Roses orange juice comes leaded with a slightly floral note don’t it?! 🤣🤣🤣
For more of those high notes you need to listen to their song Paradise City and they aren’t as soft on Welcome To The Jungle, but it’s worth a listen too!
Oh forgot to add that if this song sounds familiar to you at all my movie buff friend… Step Brothers 😉
I was 18 when this song came out and let me tell you this song was everything back in the day it’s still is everything this song is brilliant, does musically and lyrically
Slash the lead guitarist w the black curly hair .. one of the best ever ! He played live w Michael Jackson and did MJ’s song Beat it … MJ loved that dude so much !!
Ohhh wow
And also Give in to me
Eddie Van Halen played the guitar on Beat It... Slash would have only been about 16 or 17 when it came out. Slash played on MJ's songs Give It to Me, and on Black or White.
Eddie Van Halen did guitar to "Beat It" Slash did guitar to 2 of MJ's song I do believe it was 2
Axle sang backup on a Glen Frey song. Axle came into the studio and started warming up. They were so impressed they taped him warming up.
80's Rock was the best
Great reaction AB! ❤👏👏
Next: November Rain.
November Rain , , Welcome to the jungle just a few of their songs. As always love your reaction. You always bring a smile! Thanks AB needed it. (Fixed my error)
Bed of Roses is amazing song. But it's not by them. It's Bon Jovi
November Rain is just plain Epic
No need to fix it. That song should be on his list anyway😘
Great reaction!! This group had one of the best 1st album! Wore this cassette out when it came out. Every song on it was a banger.
Would love to see you react to Iron Maiden Hollowed be Thy Name
This song is still everything 😍
👍🏾🔥🔥🔥
I’m dying!!! 🤣 Every girl was in LOVE with some Axl Rose !
Evening AB .. knowing you are a football fan .. Welcome to the jungle... you will know lol
This is a good gateway into G'n'R
They are one of my favorite bands of all time. I remember waiting with bated breath & anxious anticipation every time they were about to drop an album 🖤
This is as light as gnr gets. Try "Welcome to the Jungle" or my favorite, "Mr Brownstone" for something harder.
This is my favorite of theirs. There single “Patience” is also amazing it’s a close second.
Yes yes yes November rain!!! Is fire
When any song brings a smile to your face or maybe a tear to your eyes, that means the singer and writer have done their job to leave a lasting memory on your musical soul you will always remember So give them credit where credit is due.
My favorite band of all time ❤
Please keep going down this rabbit hole.
" November Rain " next please.
Heyy!!!!
Omgggg loveeee thisss... I was so happy when I saw the video come up and I need more lol... Totally recommend November rain, it's my favorite song along with Don't you cry and welcome to the jungle is a noo miss.
"Knocking on Heavens Door" and "November Rain" equally amazing
Guns N Rose's was a huge band in the late 80s early 90s
With DefLeppard Alice Cooper Cinderella White Lion Firehouse and Winger
Wow, never heard of G&R? Great band and glad you found them.
Guitarist is Slash... he did a song with Fergie called Beautiful Dangerous...
Love this song! I think you'd also like Van Halen "Panama" - lot's of fun!!
I loved GnR back in the day! Yea, I’m that old!
I love how you can appreciate different genres! I just started watching your videos and you have played so many on my playlist!! Both country and 80’s rock!!
Oh yeah good choice Rock on 🤘🤘🔥🔥🥇💟💗💟🌠🌹💕💫😜😜😉🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
I love it when you say “heyyyy”. I have no idea why but it makes me smile.
Thanks for the smiles for the hubby and i hahaha 👍
Lmao nice and glad you all enjoyed it
I don't know if either of these are true, but I heard that the opening riff is actually a basic guitar fingerings exercise. Axl heard Slash practice it, and liked the sound and decided to write it into a song. The "where do we go" came about because Axl legitimately couldn't think of any lyrics to end the song, lol.
The genre for this is both 'hard rock' and 'glam metal'. It was released in 1988. Axel Rose is the lead singer and the lead guitarist "slashing" up the guitar is Slash.
In this video is Axel's girlfriend Erin Everly...her father is Don Everly from the famous 1940's group 'The Everly Brothers'...another rabbit hole to leap into. They sing "Bye Bye Love" - "Wake Up Little Susie" - "All I Have To Do Is Dream".
More Guns n' Roses to listen to is "Welcome To The Jungle" - "Patience" - "Live And Let Die" (cover).
But if you listen to "Live And Let Die" you have to listen to the original version from the group "Paul McCartney and Wings".
And if you dig into Paul McCartney, you'll find out he was a member of the WORLD FAMOUS...BEATLES. So you have another group to look into. There are a gazillion songs to choose from. Then after The Beatles broke up they all did their own thing...so you have to hear songs by (my favorite Beatle), John Lennon, then there's George Harrison and Ringo Starr. One song gave so much info to look into!!
A great song for Christmas by John Lennon is "So This Is Christmas".
Their song Patience is my hubby and my song, had it played at our wedding 31 years ago. In Prairie Village btw.
Can't wait for you to do patience!
I have loved them since forever, I went as Slash once on Halloween
Something else that blow you out. Enter Sandman by Metallica. That is another great song
Huge fan base
Axl Rose, lead singer, Slash, Crazy Hair Guitar Player with the stove pipe hat, Izzy the old guy, Steven the Drummer and Duff the stoner. Hair Metal. I was so into it in the late eighties, early 90's. Axl was so hot. Now he is old and fat. I saw them at Arrowhead where they co headlined with Metallica and opened for by Ice Tea. Lots of tatas on the screen at Arrowhead that day. More to say, but my keyboard is messing up. November Rain and Patience need to make your list. Everyone will say the overplayed "Welcome to the Jungle" yawn. Axl sang with AC/DC in 2016 when their lead singer lost his hearing. He has one of the worst tempers in rock and roll. Once caused riots cause he didn't want to come out on time.
That was Slash who just melted your face with that sweet solo. ✌❤
Ohhh that’s the man!??!? 🤔🔥🔥
Welcome to the jungle, paradise city, November rain… the album appetite for destruction is epic!! Fall in this rabbit hole…
Paradise city, Coma, Night train, Rocket Queen
I just love watching your facial expressions! You just make me smile so much!
I was never the biggest GNR fan. But this is about as perfect as a rock song can get.
@CD Gee Facts! But Frampton is still the one!
I saw GNR in, I believe, 1992@Chiefs stadium. My favorite "hair band"!!
OHHH IM SO EXCITED FOR U TO GO DOWN GNR RABBIT HOLE!!! November Rain is my fave. Paradise City. Welcome to the Jungle. Knockin On Heavens Door. Civil War. I’ll be ur secretary I got u! And yes they do still make music I was just at their concert in Sept it was EPIC
👀🙌🏾🔥🔥
Love GNR!! This song has one of the best opening riffs ever, imo. They have so many great songs for you to react to. Great reaction!! 🙂
They were part of the hair bands of the 80s
My favorite is Civil War. Love them. Great reaction 😎
My favorite band of all time.
When G&R were still new, I listened a lot. One day I came to learn my cat had opinions about my music choices. I had the album on, (yes, vinyl) and when the intro started for In The Jungle, my gremlin stuffie, (Stripe) flew into the room like somebody threw it. Then my cat come flying through the room like a lioness on the kill, and hit that stuffie so hard they rolled together across the room. Now, my cat knew I loved my gremlin, so she never used claws, but she always made a good show of it. My friends thought I trained her, but it was her natural huntress reacting to the song. And it was only that song, too. Weird, right?
Alas! No RUclips back then.
I miss the 80s!! This came out when I was in high school!! It was so different and my parents hated it so we rocked it forever!!
Just going through your playlist on a slow Saturday morning. In the 70’s we had Led Zepplin (Gods of Rock), in the 80’s along came Guns and Roses and challenged Zepplin’s title.
Guns and Roses is my absolute favorite band.. Idk how old this is, but it popped up in my feed and I subscribed to your channel because of it… my favorite song of theirs is Paradise City 🥰🥰
“The lead singer is taking yo guuuurl” lol 😂
This is a fact!!!!🤣🤣😂🔥
I’m very happily married but if I was single...young Axl was 🔥 🔥
GnR is my absolute favorite band! Everyone was in love with Axl (the lead singer) they broke up for a long time and in the last few years they have come back and still sound amazing!
Cool hat + cool hair + shredding guitar = Slash!!
November rain is my favorite
"November Rain" is really touching, and "I Used To Love Her" is hilarious! "Mr Brownstone" is really good, about his drug addiction.. I love GnR...but, I love all music!
God Bless You
My favorite is welcome to the jungle by guns and roses
Next GnR I think you'd love is Paradise City. Was an anthem for some summers 😂🙏👍.
Yes!!!! The best guitar solos in the world. Love slash!!!
I appreciate how open you are to different genres of music. You are my top reactors. I get notifications of your reactions and check you out asap. You are open and honest and you always put a smile on my face. Your best reaction was " When He Cheats " . I have watched it several times just to see your reaction.
Keep doing what you're doing. You're the best !
Dude you hit that note perfectly!
Omg. Omg. I was gonna request this yessss. Its off the hook.
Axl Rose & Slash are everything & more.
Love the way you point out the skills of each artist (finger movements on the guitar solo; vocal range and energy of the singer). Great reviews and reactions!!!
Thank you 🙏🏾 🔥🔥
You'll like Welcome To The Jungle. Its often played at the Cincinnati Bengals games back in the day. I think they still do. Been gone for years.
It's played at most pro sports arenas - especially NFL.
Push da button, I already pressed the like, less go.
November Rain is my favorite Guns and Roses song it's a 9 minute song
Oh wow 👀👀👀👀
Welcome to the jungle is the first song I heard from these guys, Axle also stepped in for Brian Johnson from ac/dc when he was on tour & couldn't finish due to a sore throat.
Just seen this. Great choice.
It is why you are the GOAT
Hair, I mean Slash, was pretty Epic. Peace, Love! Merry Christmas!
Civil War is AMAZING by them! Please listen with lyrics, it’s so old and still so relevant
In my opinion, and I don’t know if others would agree with me Guns N’ Roses they were the bridge between 80s hair metal rock bands into grunge, they paved the way for Nirvana
GnR must listens: Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City, Rocket Queen (Live- Tokyo '92) Nightrain (Live- Chicago '92), Its So Easy, Mr Brownstone, Civil War (Live- Paris '92), November Rain, Estranged (Live- Tokyo'92), Coma, Patience, Breakdown, Don't Cry (Demo from 1987), You Could be Mine, Knocking on Heaven's Door (Live- Paris '92), This I Love (Live- Houston -2016)
80's big hair bands ROCK!!!!
This is my jam ❤🎵👏🏻
This is by far one of my favorite songs in the entire world! My kids know silence is demanded when it comes on. I close my eyes and just feel the music, it never fails to move me! Axel Rose's voice is iconic and Slash is recognized as one of the most talented guitarists in the world as well! Slash's guitar solo in THIS song is ranked number 1 on the list of "100 Greatest Guitar Rifts" in 2004 by Total Guitar (magazine), his solo in "November Rain" is ranked number 6 on "100 Greatest Guitar Solos" in 2008 by Guitar World (magazine), and Time magazine named him as runner-up on their list of "The 10 Best Electric Guitar Players" in 2009. He is also on many other "Greatest Guitar" lists, including Rolling Stone and Gibson Guitar. He is easily recognizable when you see him, by his signature look of long curly black hair, black top hat, and sunglasses. He was also a member of Velvet Revolver, another mega band from the 2000s, and has performed with MANY popular pop stars. He is truly a rock legend!
They broke up in the early 1990's due to massive drama and fighting in the band caused by Axel Rose's major drug and alcohol problems, along with his attitude problems and poor work ethics. There was major hate between Slash and Axel Rose after this, with Slash having no problems blasting him publicly and in the media, they made no secret of their feud. The other two members of the band weren't as vocal, but they also had major beef with Axel Rose. In the mid 2010's, Axel finally apologized for his behavior to the band, and after 28 years of animosity Slash and Axel buried the hatchet and made up. In 2018, they reunited Guns N' Roses, and are still together.
@1:02, @AB, This song was dedicated to me by someone very special to me when I was younger... I saw that ppl are talking about not really wanting "Welcome To The Jungle" but, it's Axl's story from when he very first arrived in L.A. from a small farm town and mixes with when fame hit... But "Patience" is a great one as well as "Knocking On Heaven's Door", "Don't Cry" which is part of a trilogy let me get the trilogy list for you k hun...🌹
Great choice AB Guns an Roses are bad ass I don't know a song by them that I don't enjoy and I agree wt Jessica November rain is a wonderful 2nd reaction to them!!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS AB!!
Haha thanks! Happy Holidays to you as well
Anything Guns n Roses! My favorite band and Slash my favorite guitarist!
GNR is one of my fav rock bands (along with Def Leppard, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, Metallica and Skid Row). Like others in the comments, I would suggest November Rain, Paradise City, Civil War, Welcome to the Jungle, etc. Love the humor that you inject into your reactions. I keep making my husband (who has zero interest in reaction videos) watch your reactions for the laughs. Great personality and I wish you much success.
If you liked Sweet Child O Mine, you'll love November Rain. Both the song and video to it are epic! If you want a song to speak to you softly, that's the song to listen to!
Huge Fan base and YES they are different than other Hair/Rock Bands. I know this because I do not like 80's Heavy Metal Hair Bands. They are marginal at best but I LOVE Gun's and Roses. It's the winning combination of Axl's vocals, melodic rock, but there is nothing soft about it. The insane guitar talent in the band goes without saying
Welcome to the rabbit hole that is Guns N Roses. I've been listening to them since I was 13 and am now 43. Still a huge fan always will be!!!
This is my karaoke go-to, crowd pleaser! If you do it, take A BIG breath to make it through the very end!
Patience is Awesome
GNR bridged the Gap from Hair Bands to Grunge and kept Rock relevant at the grass root levels. ( this will not mean much to rap/hip hop people but is important to music fans)
Good tunes make waves in all cultures
In the 80s, when this came out, Guns N Roses was heavy metal and this fell under heavy metal ballads.
This is one of my favorite GnR songs, but what *I* think happened when they were writing this song is they got to the final outro and thought. How do we end this? Where do we go from here? that's it! "Where do we go now...Where do we go? ohh...where do we go..." 🙃
This band is named after Axl Rose and Tracy Guns.
AN ABSOLUTE MUST HEAR CLASSIC,,
THE IDES OF MARCH "VEHICLE"
it's even better live, saw them 1988 when I was 18 & in Sept 2021 they still put on a great show 😍
Flash is probably one of the best guitar players in the entire world in my book. Guns'n'roses are Kick-A#*.. another great reaction by you I'm telling you dude I follow you all the time may be awhile before I get to all of your reactions but I love watching you.. you make me laugh and just make my day
Welcome To The Jungle is the quintessential GNR tune.
GNR are fire 🔥 😍
