It goes both ways. I use to go to a hairstylist and she was always late this was when I was going to the hairdresser when I was between the age 30-40. And I used to have to wait for her between 15-30 minutes.She drove and I was catching the bus. Another hairdresser who I use to go to she was great but the owner she was working for wasn’t paying the rent to the owner of the shop.It goes both ways,customers need to respect the owners,and the owners need to respect the customers.
Well you picked the wrong stylist and stayed don’t put that on the entire industry! The woman in this video was there 1 hour before her client. I’ve never been late for a client ever. You picked the stylist and you waited. I wouldn’t have picked a stylist like that and I’m not waiting over 10 minutes. You’re an adult so just like your in my comments you could have talked to her and left. Don’t put that on every cosmetologist. Choose better. All The 2 professionals in this video displayed was timely behavior and professionalism. This has nothing to do with this video. Take this up with the type of stylist you have an issue with. Her experience shouldn’t be diminished in the comments by a CHOICE you made.
Yes, to charging a deposit. Time is money. For anyone who is serious about keeping their appointment, it shouldn't be a problem. It's about respect. Don't feel bad about charging for your time.💕

I don't mind deposits as a customer. I think it should be a standard like going to the doctors. I wouldn't mind paying up front either. you should pay prior to your service, if you have any issues take it up with your cosmetologist after.

I think inflation is exacerbating clients and cosmetologists relationship. Many people can’t afford to do their hair regularly, at the same time stylist need to raise their prices to sustain their business. I’ve seen master stylist push promotions that would never have to. Deposit aren’t a major issue for me. I always understood the reason behind them.

Higher prices weed out the dusties for any business whether that's landlording, hair, construction etc. Any problems after that with an individual is a simple no service.

Not all clients are bad get a grip. Your level of offense and lack of comprehension is also a big problem. There are plenty of women in the comments that have empathy without offense. Women like you are absolutely exhausting. You all want to move like this and then cry when a mirror is put up! Not everyone will share the same opinions but should be able to share them with you when you have discussions about any topic particularly hair! It should not be the extreme negativity associated with open discussions. It is okay to disagree and still be respectful and kind. You have had years of experience with clients and I’m sure both positive and negative. Myself personally I have had wonderful stylists that I respect their time and their work and because they are human when they make an error I extend grace and it’s okay.
