The $300 to $500 haslabs need to stop, it's common sense that if the haslabs weren't so damn expensive they'd probably double the orders!

I completely agree that a redo of the Rancor with the right tiers - Rancor Keeper, Oola, etc. would do the trick. Definitely would love to see the Max Rebo band along with another multi-figure pack of Ree-Yees, Weequay, Squid Head and Klaatu - the original Jabba's Palace characters. Like the AT-ST idea along with the Ewok glider. Along with the drivers, maybe add some more Ewoks and alternate Rebel Commandos. And for another idea for a ship - Twin Pod Cloud Car with Pilots and include Lobot, Bespin Security Guard, and an Ugnaughts.
Well, you killed my diorama idea, but, ok, for a Haslab.... Anakin's Pod Racer. If you assembled it, it wouldn't need a massive box. When assembled it would be big, but, as parts, the body and engines would be doable. Put it on a flight stand and you'd have a cool display piece..... if you had somewhere to put it, LOL!
The rancor just one more time and the AT-ST, those are my top 2, Max Rebo band would be cool. Maybe some denizens as tiers like Ree Yees, Tessek and Amanaman. A deluxe version for the special edition people. with all the special bandmembers (not me😂)

Black Series AAT would sell with the right tier exclusives:
-Phantom Menace Nute Gunray (AOTC or ROTS Gunray could be mainline)
-Hologram spider chair from Phantom Menace with holo of Palpatine
-2x Battledroid Crew with the green camo
If they simultaneously announced a Pulse exclusive AT-RT or Dwarf Spider Droid, a character pack of a random clone officer and an OOM, they could move a ton of units. Lean into giving people items for a Clone Wars display, it would make people excited to buy.
Rancor with tweaks could fund, it almost did despite the poorly executed campaign and set back it had.
They've said no X-wing (too big) and I believe they've said something similar regarding the A-wing - those would be my immediate dream objects.
The Ghost they made for the Haslab is almost the same size as a 6inch X-wing and bigger than the A-wing, so how those are too big, I really don't understand.
I made 6 inch scale size comparison diagrams for this very reason - how big would they be. And there are plenty very do-able vehicles and creatures.
The Death Star is estimated (depending on the source) to be 120 KM in diameter, which means the Haslab offering would have to be 11 KM (433,071 inches) in diameter to be 1/12 scale - what's the issue?

I like everything you guys mentioned, I think that had Hasbro included Oola at the get-go the last time, then the Rancor would have funded. As for the special characters packs idea I'm loving the Rebo band trio, but as hasbro have done with the Cantina give me the option to gain the special edition add-ons too because I need me my Ak-Rev and Umpass Stay. Another idea I'd like is the three big guys from Jabba's Palace Hermi Odle, Ephant Mon and Amanaman, because I don't think Hasbro will ever do them in the main line. The AT-ST would be a dream option for me, but I'd add a Ewok Catapult w/ Ewok to go along with your offerings. As for the AAT if this gave me the 009 Commander Droid I'm in just give me Tarpals and his Battle ready Kaddu for the chefs kiss of a deal.

It would be cool to have an X-Wing still. They are so iconic and you can change it from Red leader Biggs wedge or Luke by just being able to change the stripes like a Lego kinda engineering or something magnets I donno there is a way. Also make it so you can take it apart and store, I think definitely that the reason why the tie was difficult for most people when you put it together you couldn't undo it. Also most black series collectors are whiners lol give us more ships!!!! A millennium falcon cockpit or even an A wing......Darth Vaders tie advanced yes lol I could dream plus there is always 3rd party so dreams do come true still. Great vid guys!

I agree. I'm not a giant BlackSeries collector, but It would fall into my top3 HasLabs to consider & save for. BS Haslabs would have to impress to top what's going on w/ Joe & TVC(HasLabs).
I think dioramas could work. Smaller scale ones like Falcon cockpit, Endor bunker or what ever that think Luke hangs on when Vader says "I am your father"
To me, if the do a black series haslab, it’s gotta be a X wing. It’s just too iconic. Stretch goals… Biggs, all new bodied Porkins, and Luke.

My only complaint, which is my main issue with all of your videos, is the “Hi I’m Nate joined with Justin.” I would go with “joined by Justin” as to not suggest you guys are fused together just below the camera’s view. I’ve seen you in separate locations on streams so I know you are not in fact conjoined. Cheers fellas

Give black series collectors a chance! Could not agree more. And honestly I don’t care if something is exactly to scale, knock a few inches off an x wing or any other ship. As long as the proportions are up to snuff and it looks good I’ll make that trade off any day to see any ship get made. ( Bendu, Gen. Grievous star fighter, Mauls Sith infiltrattor, Jedi star fighter)

Idk, do we even deserve another shot at the Rancor? Or any potential Haslab? Like you said, this community has a huge problem with demanding stuff be made and then never showing up to buy it or waiting until it hits a steep discount.

I will preface this response with ** a hole alert*** this may sound pretty bad, but I gotta be honest that this is how I feel.
It is really hard for me to talk about black series haslabs at this point because I am still pretty bitter about the rancor failing. The community didn’t step up for that. I get there were issues with the tiers, other haslab going on concurrently, blah blah blah. Bottom line: the discourse during the campaign was ridiculous and the community ultimately failed to back it.
Add to that - Anytime there is a new figure announced that actually has paint on it and it’s a few dollars more than standard price, the same community whines about it endlessly. They can’t even get behind a well painted figure that (GASP) might actually cost over 30 dollars, so frankly I don’t know if our community deserves another chance at a “dream item”.
That said, I think where I am it is that black series hasLabs need to be figure packs. For the following reasons:
1. the great thing about the 6” scale is the figures themselves and the ability that the 6” size affords to show off sculpt and paint and accessory detail.
2. I also am a big advocate of the idea that figures themselves can be world building. Obscure figures like THE Client from Mano aren’t super exciting action figures but they help build out the world on your shelf simply by being on it.
3. Vehicles at 6” scale are tough to display.
So then let’s have 6 packs of figures that they will otherwise NEVER make as haslabs. Highly sculpted, highly deco’d, highly accessorized packs of 6 figs. $40 per fig. Total haslab price: $240. Give us
Cantina aliens pack (just pick 6 cantina aliens make them)
Jabbas palace pack (just pick 6 jabbas denizens and make them)
PT aliens pack (geonosians, kaminoans, sebulba, Watto, Nemoidians, dexter)
The great thing about the 6” scale is the figures themselves. The black series haslab should be designed to celebrate that fact.
(and if you want to give me the one REAL dream project in a 6” scale it’s an Xwing. All day. Every day. that is THE dream project. Period)

The Rancor rhetoric was some of the most tiring back and forth nonsense that I've ever experienced on RUclips. We were excited about it and we got put through the ringer in the comments of every video about it. I totally understand where you're coming from! -Justin

Me and my wife just watched all three of the Sam Raimi Spider-Man films like 2 weeks ago.
I started collecting black series 2 years ago (been a Star Wars fan my whole life). But when I started gaining knowledge on the haslabs and became more familiar with how they work, I always felt like the tiers kind of take away from the haslab itself. But on the other hand I get the purpose behind the tiers.

There is so much they could do with pod racing it blows my mind they haven't bothered yet...the pod racers, the pilots, pit droids, tools, random diorama pieces (boxes, shelves, etc. - work shop stuff), rock formations, start/finish line...and I would buy it all because THIS IS POD RACING!
Not to mention the games they could make with podracing and unreal graphics

I’d buy any and all. 4 TVC HasLabs to our 1; they should’ve alternated each year. I’m a 6” collector, I’ll buy the 6” stuff. Figure packs I think are a great idea, especially as Pulse PO window exclusives. If TVC could get a $230 item via Pulse, we could easily get a $150-$200 figure pack. If the argument is larger vehicles and Playsets are out of the question for TBS, then give us the figures. I don’t care if I don’t have a palace to put them in, but Jabba is lonely and is missing a lot of his alien friends. Forget a cantina, but I want the patrons.
Jedi Interceptor to me is the next logical choice for a 6” HasLab. I agree, not too big and not too small. If the Snowspeeder was $130, I’d easily back 2 interceptors for close to $500

Naah Lowa..Un Dee Tay! Rancor… I want it but don’t want the crap show of adults griping like immature younglings. My pitch treat it like Giant Man. $300 includes keeper and bones and the box becomes the diorama option. 8000 to fund. If Hasbro wants more money than 2.4 million they can make carded Luke stretch goal at 11,000 and carded Oola at 14,000. Then it’s 3 or 4 million depending on fans’ reception. AT-ST is cool. Seems like part of the issue is balancing weight between feet and the legs. AAT is interesting especially with STAP. I don’t have much confidence in a BS Haslab offering happening.

I'd love another crack at the Rancor and getting the chance at the Jedi Star Fighters. The AAT Battle Droid Tank would be amazing as well, I might order 2 of the Tanks. AT-ST Walker would be another once in a lifetime project I'd want to back.
Just so much potential if Haslab would give the Black Series another chance. And that's Black Series Figures stuff not Roleplay crap 💩.

Figure packs like Jedi Council, Cantina Patrons, and Jabba’s Palace Denizens would be my preference if we can’t #ReviveTheRancor with a proper campaign. Jedi Starfighters would be cool (I’d add Yoda’s to the list even though it’s different) and I’d for sure buy them, but I’d prefer getting the figures we’re missing.
Just about any 1-2 passenger ship/vehicle is doable. I’ve 3D printed multiple ships and they would all be easy HasLab projects. And wildly successful. But you guys are right, the BS community needs to step up and stop the bitching and whining when we get a HasLab opportunity.
An at-st would be very doable as a haslab, Endor backdrop, 2 imperial drivers, Chewbacca and an ewok and some logs could be the tiers. Probably one of the only vehicles that wouldn't be massive....tall but without a big footprint .
The Cantina has slowed. I don't know if it is an automatic that it will fund.
My dream project is a Star Destroyer. Give me a huge vehicle like they did with the Sail Barge. I'll find room for that. That is what HasLab is for. Something really huge that really wouldn't work in retail.
As far as VC or Black Series, I don't care. I'll back either if it is cool and makes sense for my collection.
Pretty much all of these ideas slap 👋 I’d disagree on the figure packs being a Haslab, those should be Hasbro Pulse exclusives for sure. I’d also argue that a STAP and BARC speeder could show up as Pulse exclusives. Great episode guys!
Pretty much any ground vehicle or animal with a single pilot is small enough to release on its own. AT-RT, BARC, STAP, Kaadu, etc...
Haslab should always swing for those bigger display pieces.

I know you said "No Dios", but hear me out: Modular Black Series Tantiv IV Diorama. We are getting close to Episode 4's 50th anniversary, so im gonna guess we will be getting some pipelined Episode 4 love, there are really only 3-4 rooms that arent super large, but a ton of iconic moments in them. Make it modular like the Cantina and you could have a couple different display rooms from the opening of the film.
I like the idea of dioramas 100% but TVC did a Tantive IV hallway set and it did abysmally.
I am all for "cheaper" haslabs of display pieces they couldn't sell other ways: $200 Jabba's Throne Set (slab and hookah set, Huttslayer Leia, etc...). $250 Cantina Bar and two booths.

I think the ideal dio for black series vs tvc is the jedi temple council room.
They just need to do the back of it like a semi circle and then give us the chairs. It can be modular and include jedi we were unlikely to get in main black series

So, like the living quarters of the Falcon with swappable parts to make it either an OT Falcon interior or a Sequel Trilogy Falcon, kinda like the Lego UCS Falcon. Would also work for 2025 as the 50th anniversary of ANH and 10th anniversary of TFA

That’s a repack. I feel like that’s slightly different from what we were implying with reuse. More-so meant like a repaint, kit-bash, using parts for a different figure, etc. -Justin
To be frank as a TVC mostly collector though i do collect TBS clones/mandos EU/Sith/Jedi.
I'd rather TBS never get haslabs or vehicles again- just because wanting that kind of stuff should pull you into TVC.
Though i admit just jumping into TVC is an issue- just like jumping into TBS now is an issue.. you are so many figures behind though TBS has tried to keep secondary market prices down, TVC repacks are often of characters that didn't sell first time around and are cheap on the secondary market.
Unless you are wealthy getting into either line right now is just not cost effective.
If TVC is struggling to get an AT-RT one of the most requested small vehicles, i think TBS has no chance at getting an AAT.. though i love my six from TVC!

Dwarf spider droids are something that could make a good figure, as even a TBS scale one (of the smaller) could be a larger version for TVC.
Naw that's not fair at all. We've only had one shot at a Haslab. There's no reason we can't get another one. There have been four TVC Haslabs. We can get one. -Justin
Creatures! Not Rancor v2 right away, but maybe Obi's veractyl for ROTS 20th, then Geonosis beasts for AOTC 25th.
Campaign guidelines - stick to movies, price for base offering, and when you're asking people to invest in your project with zero return, don't do things that piss them off like conspicuously ignoring 1 of 3 characters that interact with the thing.
Learn from the Rancor - too expensive, underwhelming tiers, and excluding Oola because she's too problematic pissed people off. She's the emotional core of the scene you're trying to sell, and guess what? Public execution by dropping people into a pit to be eaten by a monster is problematic af. If Lucasfilm says no to something essential, push back or don't do that project.
If even take them just being upfront and saying they “can’t” do Oola. Atleast then we could have had some peace knowing it’s out of their control. -Nate
I would love to see Anakin and Sebulba Pod Racers. I was 9 when TPM came out and I loved the Pod Racing arc of the movie and when I got the N64, the first game I got for it was Episode 1 Racer and spent so many hours playing it. So if they came out with Pod Racers, Sebulba, Anakin with his helmet, 3 pack of pit droids, and Watto... I would back it immediately!

Hey TBS collectors, hear me out - you can still back any haslabs for investment purposes. I’m TVC fan but still backed two rancors, often wonder how much they would go for. You can pick up a cantina or two and cash out later. Have money for a tbs haslab or several months of free figures. The figures alone will eventually be 400 bucks. You can turn price of 14 6in figures worth into 20-30 figures. Just something to think about.

My heart says Sandcrawler but I know it would be huge. Much more likely would be an X-WING! It is in most of the movies and Mando/Ashoka! If the wings came off for shipping/packaging it would not be too big.

In 2016 Disney sold an Oola vinylmation figure in their theme parks. I have it. You can see her boobies drawn behind the fishnet (lmao). I get that things can change in our society in 8 years, but this thing was very approved by Disney. And the Oola funko pop was approved in 2016 too.
The original Black Series Slave Leia came out after the Disney purchase as well. I don't get it. -Justin
Totally with you with the AT-ST as a Black Series Haslab, just seems a total no-brainer to me. I also like the RoTS Jedi Starfighter two pack idea, I think that could work. I'm also largely with you on not doing a Haslab BS diorama set. With one exception. I think a Millennium Falcon interior playset at the Black Series scale would be phenomenal. Have it be a two section set. The cockpit and the main hold, and have a connecting corridor piece if you want to display them both together. I think that would not be prohibitively large to display, and with different display options? Could be a really great and successful set. For tiers perhaps add unique figures of the crew, Han, Chewie, Luke and Leia, perhaps additional crates for the hold. Maybe have an electronics package be one of the tiers so you can add lights and sounds to the thing? Or how about a 3rd section unlock that gives you a gun port?

Given all the clones that have come out recently, I believe a full size 1/12 Republic LAAT wouldn't be out of the question. All the bells and whistles, including a brand new clone pilot, BARC speeder and world building items to build small landing zones. Get creative Hasbro!

I wish we got more vehicles. One of my favorite pieces in general is that BS snowspeeder. Would absolutely love to display Anakins Jedi star fighter next to Luke’s snowspeeder on a shelf. My dream would be to get both that and Luke’s X-Wing but that’s probably way too big.

All these ideas are cool. I agree Max Rebo set doesn’t have to be Haslab. Easy buy though if they’d just give us quantity. (Aka GRE & Yoda) AAT least likely to fund. All the others you suggested have a good chance IMO.

Great video! Also with the Haslab Jedi Interceptors, Hasbro could also release fully articulated Vulture Droids to support the campaign. These aren’t massive enough to be a haslab, and they fit the role of vehicle & figure. Probably a good fan channel offering.

I know a lot of folks float the AT-AT as a great Haslab, but I just don't see it. It's tall, tippy and awkward to fit on a shelf. I think it would be one of those things that sits in the corner of your room or in your closet.
Personally, I would love to see a Y-Wing (too large) or an A-wing. Yes, I'm die-hard OT.

Personally, I think a Black Series Jedi Council chamber set that includes the chairs and a couple of those non-reusable molds such as Oppo Rancisis and Yarael Poof.

unfortunately if Haslab ever announced any of these, the VTC collectors will start screaming and shouting that their needs are more important, and will protest. That said as an OT collector of black series I would love any of those Original trilogy ideas for Haslab.

I still think hasbro underestimates how many people would buy 12 if they made a black series xwing. There are so many large scale xwing model groups that have nothing to do with black series collectors.

If I were Hasbro I would never touch another black series HasLab. Black series and marvel legends fans are the most arrogant, petulant fake collectors in the space. The real Star Wars fans are vintage collectors they support their haslabs and passionately love their hobby. It’s bad business to do a black series HasLab Hasbro knows it and so do the “fans” of the black series.

Open the Rancor up to non-US supporters and it's funded with no issue. Haslab sells itself short by limiting what countries can participate. Australia alone would have pushed the Rancor across the line.

No offense, but its funny to me how bs collectors only speak about balancing the scales when they want to ask for vehicles or haslabs when practically every character is first introduced into the bs and sometimes they dont even get to the tvc (like clone force 99).
Hasbro really needs to balance the scales by giving tvc fans every character that bs has and make some small vehicles and maybe some creatures in the bs.

I like the idea of the jedi interceptors, cause I doubt they would do another vehicle like the snowpeeder for the black series for retail (at least for now). And after seeing the one displayed by hottoys I think it could be a very good option because that one looked nice (but I don't collect hottoys and people don't even know if it will be done anyway),

It’s only like 15% hasbro choice on what they give the fans , Disney held them from releasing ki adi mundi due to the acolyte appearance, they tried making hasbro make him with his gaf acolyte appearance instead of getting what we got, also it’s why the acolyte figures have so much quality control and had 2x the budget of a regular budget like kenobi and ahsoka series figures , it’s why they felt sorta bendy and cheap, the amount and lack of accessories in the acolyte figures is crazy detail to again figs we want and get , I’m sure all of us can think of 1 or 2 accessories plus cloaks for all Jedi that should of how it’s been

Ransisis was a leftover design and costume for a christmas tv special of the grinch originally. George wanted something to distance him from the grinch, they added a snake body. It was in the archives.
We have a gammoreon guard, it was kinda hard to find because it sold well.
I bought 12 of those jar jars. I can custom the crap out of them.
I think the Death Star hallway would be nice because we can put troopers in it and those officers we have, get a mouse droid along with it and maybe a new luke and han with their disguises half off like on the way out.
Maybe just a good compactor would be good. They love making the garbage type stuff to add into scenes. I think it would be awesome and small enough for a shelf. I have a 3d printed compactor, it is nice size.
Random bit of info about the Death Star. It was a real thing for TVC Haslab. But way too expensive at $850 so the idea was canned. -Justin

As a 3.75 collector… yall should have had the N1 as a haslab this year but the fact that hasbro doesnt trust the 6” community isn’t surprising, 6” sits on pegs unless it’s clone wars, TVC can’t stay on shelves.
TVC keeps those pegs nice and warm at all of my local Targets 😂…not to mention Ross and Ollie’s. Spoiler alert: both lines have things that peg-warm. -Justin

Hasbro needs to bring back smaller vehicles and creatures speeders n ships redo dewback n taun taun but nooooo they don’t want* easy money. The Rancor could get so many repaints too like wtf.
And the whole cleavage and mid riff thing on oola? People need to Look at what they do with marvel legends (old legends too), Emma frost, and new blood storm etc. The sculpts they use on the women have details you couldn’t really see in a suit😂

Yeah I think it’s more of an issue Lucasfilm over Hasbro. Like you said if they are willing to do with Marvel I’m sure they would with Star Wars but Lucasfilm is holding them back. -Nate
