I agree with almost everything. Another minor good thing about BBTS is that their pre-order availability updates in real time so when someone cancels a sold-out pre-order it becomes available for whoever has been refreshing that sold-out page every so often 😂

I've been using BBTS for years and I've had an almost 100% positive experience with them. I've had to do a few returns with no issues. Unfortunately, since moving to Alaska, I've lost the $4 shipping option but their prices to get stuff up here are pretty reasonable. The one thing I wish they had was a point system. I collect masterpiece scale Transformers and use an overseas company called ShowZ who lets you accrue points with every order. After a certain number of purchases, it's nice to occasionally get a figure for a heavy discount. Great episode guys!

I use both BBTS and Nerdzoic and both have “pile of loot” available. I’ve gotten figures faster with Nerdzoic but he has limited stock on hand. His packaging is also amazing. So, if you’re looking for great companies to buy from, as a 30+ year collector, those are my recommendations.

The one con I have for BBTS is they don’t sell by the full case for TVC or Black Series shipped in the original full wave box from Hasbro. EE is the only place I know of that still sells full wave cases (RIP DorkSide), which I like to order to get the best quality for my MIB/MOC collections. Had BBTS sold by the case they’d get a lot more of my business. Still use them for occasional one-offs from time-to-time. Great summary of a good supplier. 😬

BBTS is my go to fan channel when it comes to pre orders and getting new figures. They always got some good items in stock and I also love their package grading system since each delivery guarantees that your items come in great condition. Not to mention that their customer service is reliable and they always answer back by the next business day. Of course, my only gripe with them is how some items tend to come in later than the posted release date but that is a given since they mentioned that the release dates is just an suppose estimate and not a guarantee. My other gripe is also how some items tend to come in earlier than expected so I had to cancel some preorders since I couldn’t afford them at the time and those same items manage to sell out before I even get the chance to afford them. But other than that, I never had any major problems with them. They are still reliable for the most part and their Pile of Loot system is my most favorite thing about them.

The biggest con about bbts is they are one of the last online stores to get anything and by that time i already have it from places like amazon or even ebay if the price is reasonable . Bbts is my plan c to get items even though i order from them all the time but rarely ever actually buy them so i have to disagree on your first point they still slow . I also notice that they tend to never get drop dates right and when they do its always a bunch of stuff i cant afford at the same time so i wind up canceling them . I also never use pile of loot because im not waiting to ship stuff i already paid for i want them in the mail that day if possible . I will say they do have great customer service i give them that ,and they are reliable about getting stuff even if it takes them forever to actually to get stuff . But my go to first choice is always amazon because they know exactly when stuff is coming so i can budget to get what i want ,they have the fastest shipping that is reliable and i dont pay anything since i am on prime so there is no online store better . But ,to be fair there is a problem with preorders selling out if u are not quick and they often dont have products that bbts does have .

As an Australian, I *wish* we had something like BBTS. We *sorta* do... but they're kinda meh... ish. And they're the antithesis when it comes to speed. I've only ordered from BBTS once but it was packed really well and the shipping was a fair price. I've always heard very good things about BBTS... for domestic figures. It's a whole different thing with imports. Like, a different hemisphere.
BBTS has had a few instances recently where they were price gouging *pre-orders* for S.H.Figuarts. I know they're essentially buying it themselves, but some of it is transparent price gouging. As in, when they're called on it, they sometimes lower the price, so clearly the price didn't need to be *that* high to turn a decent profit. For imports, 90% of the time you're better off getting it from a Japanese/import site yourself.

I've been a BBTS customer for 20+ years. I love this company! I've had nothing but good things to say about them. I believe the first thing I ever bought on their store was a Takara reissue of GI Starscream back in 2002 or so. Their preorder setup is great, the POL option is amazing, and they package items together better than most. And the $4 flat shipping...as a Transformer collector, let me put it this way: if you combine the POL with $4 flat shipping, you are getting an amazing deal! I've had huge Titan/Leader/Commander class Transformers all packaged together in one shipment...for $4. That's nuts, in a good way! Their customer service is also second-to-none.

You guys are spot on with your pros and cons. One thing I would add though regarding the collector grade upgrade service, you’re not really paying extra for better protected shipping, it is for figures they got from the manufacturer that are in the best condition to begin with. They hand select the best ones for those that pay that extra fee. This is why they can go out of stock on collector grade items. Also they offer a substandard option for figures that have really damaged packaging for a bit cheaper which is also nice for when you want an opener.

If you think the price up charge is high for Black Series by a couple bucks, Import figures on BBTS make a couple bucks for a Black Series look like a steal in comparison! We’re talking like 10-15 dollar upwards pricing! as a pose to some other online retailers where I could get some of the same Import figures for like half of that increase!

Hello Justin and Nate thanks for sharing your thoughts on the BBTS.
I agree with you that BBTS is the place I probably preorder from 90% of the time. Unless it's a store exclusive or if Amazon has it cheaper because they offer free shipping, young Anikin Skywalker for example was up a couple of dollars.
I live in Pennsylvania so the $4 shipping is a bit slower, I get mine about a week and a half or so. The longest I've waited was about 2 weeks for one order. I'm fortunate that my orders are usually shipped by the US Mail or UPS, once by FedEx but no issues with that time.
I'm a big supporter of the Loot Pile feature. I'll let my pile just fill up over the 90 days and I'll add to it when Black Series Figures go on sale/clearance now that they allow you to add those to your loot pile. My Destroyer Droids are in my pile of loot waiting to be shipped.
I've never needed to use their customer service number, thankfully.
I only order from Entertainment Earth if it's free shipping like the holidays or when the black series wave that had Boba Fett from the Tuskin Raiders village in BOBF series because they offered a slight discount for the case and offered free shipping.
Thanks again guys for sharing your thoughts on BBTS, I appreciate your efforts to help keep people informed. Take care and I'll catch you both later, Tom 👍

The first and last time I sent a shipment to my country (Mexico) the shipping cost is not that expensive, what is expensive is the tax that my country charges me. That is why in any case BBTS purchases were sent to the home of a relative who lives in the USA and when I go to visit my relative's house I bring all my purchases (on some occasion on your channel I had already talked about my form shopping). I've used BBTS for a LONG time. I use Pulse for most of my Hasbro stuff, but I use BBTS for just about everything else. They have never let me down. Sometimes they get stuff earlier than other places...sometimes they get stuff way later. I don't care, though. I don't need to get my stuff early, I just want the peace of mind that it's going to show up reliably. I don't need to be in a rush to put another piece of plastic on the shelf, and I don't put in preorders at multiple places and then cancel a bunch when the first retailer ships. That's gonna be detrimental to the hobby in the long-term. I don't trust places like Target, Amazon, Walmart, etc. to come through on an order or send me a properly packed shipment either. And, with the pile of loot feature and the $4 shipping (not to mention the savings in time and gas by not having to hunt physical stores), I can stomach the extra few $ they tack onto the prices compared to alternative retailers. I am disappointed to see them engage in some of the sorta scalping stuff they do on occasion (like the NECA TMNT LootCrate stuff, for example). I get it...they're a business in business to make money...but I do think it IS kinda scuzzy.

I know BBTS normally charges a buck more than other sites, but the packaging quality alone is worth it. Definitely in my opinion the best place for collectible action figures. Fricken places like Amazon... half the time they ship in a bubble bag, Walmart is horrendous, my second option is Target if they happen to get the items.

I enjoyed the video guys. See y’all in the next one.

Ive never had any major problems with bbts. Im in va and it almost always takes 2 weeks from time shipped to in hand. Ive had the mis fortune of getting it thru dhl......a nightmare! Near 3 weeks. Id say my main grype would be that 90% of everything ive ever preordered....i will find it in store 2 months before bbts has it in stock.

Yeah despite them being higher by a $1 or 2 I agree with y’all’s points. Rookies. The $4 shipping is great but caution: you control what’s #hipped but if you ship everything. My first loot. Pile I had requested (like in 2015) was huge: 3X3X3. Cubed box neatly packed with my my loot & bubble wrapped, I miss the flyer cards, advertising the sites header page now you get a sticker

I have noticed BBTS jack up prices to almost scalper-like pricing on many highly-sought Collectibles, which I stay away from like the plague. However, as you mentioned, their dedication to shipping is indeed top notch.
I used to use EE, but lately, their "MINT Condition guarantee" for their packaging has been severely lacking as of late.

O is for Our, P is for Personal scratchin' temple
    E is for Experience
I think you are correct about EE. I've spent millions there and they have some very curious shipping, free shipping, discount, methods when you read your invoice. Basically like Planes, Trains, and Automobiles - sure I'll take your coupon but I'll have to charge you double, but with the discount it comes out to about the same.

The shipping is $4, but they tax based on the price of the items so you will end up paying for much more! For example Im paying $15.13 tax for a $99.99 figure and Ki-adi mundi for $25.99 in one shipment. Does this make sense? Not hating but I'm just trying to undertsand.

What I don’t like with their pre-order is that you are simply putting your name on a list. Because not monetary transaction happened between you to them, they don’t have to give you the item. This happened to me when I pre order the whole Marvel Legends Retro card Spider-Man wave and I got everyone except the Black suit Spider-Man. Their price is generally good (most of the time) but lately their Japanese exports are $20 more than their rivals from the U.S. and I’ve gotten item removed from my Pre-Order because they won’t be getting any more of the item. Which sucks because I was depending on BBTS to get the item. Their response was, they are a small company and do not get shipment like larger company such as Target and Wal-Mart, which makes no sense because they’ve been around for 20+ years and have so many people supporting them.

Nice video guys, I bounce between Entertainment Earth and BBTS. I'm on the West Coast so Entertainment Earth is closer, and if you work it right, you can pay a slightly lower cost and get free shipping via Entertainment Earth. You didn't mention the free shipping over $75 at EA.

WHAT! No harmonica! Just kidding. Never had a problem with BBTS or EE. Buying in large seems to work better with entertainment earth when you get free shipping. If you are picking and choosing because you only have interest in one figure and don't mind the wait, BBTS and pile of loot is a better option. If big bad ever did a free shipping thing, I would probably use them more than I already do even though the prices are higher.

Hasbro pulse for Hawaii is just bad, really bad. BBTS is awesome… I’ll pay the extra few bucks just to keep them open and thriving… I don’t care if I get something first or last, as long as I get it. I’m 49 years old, I don’t wait around the mailbox waiting for this stuff to arrive. It’s more like, I get to it on the weekend and not as important as other stuff I have going on. I love collecting. I really think the pile of loot feature is the selling point, where I don’t want 25 individual items coming in the mail per month, it’s the solution. One con is that when they have a toy reduced, like a Heman origins for $5 believe me it’s not going to be collector grade. The reaction figures too, if they are discounted it’s because something is wrong with it, but they don’t disclose that. Me I was more thinking they had too many or they weren’t selling. It’s like that on eBay too, I have yet to get a reaction under $10 that looks great and I could throw it in an acrylic display and be happy.

I'm confused on why it's a bad thing to sell figures at an increased price based on the secondary market. That's just smart business. Anyone who is spending 50 on a black series figure is not being takin advantage of they have to be adults with an income. If it's a moral thing I just don't think that is a good argument for toy sales lol

Living in Southeast Asia, I only tend to order for BBTS as a last resort and it gets to my doorstep fast if we get the right shipping provider. Their 8 USD shipping for a single figure is truly worth it and affordable, it'll definitely cost more, about 16 USD for a larger-sized or heavier figure like NECA Ultimates or McFarlane Megafigure. Their price-gouging still stinks though, we've seen that with those DC Multiverse Platinum Chase figures as well, which I'm sure Nate knows.

Just a small downside to Pile of Loot that I’ve experienced. I have had a situation occur twice where when I request to ship my Pile of Loot that they aren’t able to find all my items. The last time I recall it happened was when I paid retail for a Marvel Legends Gamerverse Iron Man Abomination BAF wave figure. It had paid for it and they held my money for almost the whole 90 days. When I went to ship my loot pile they sent me an email saying they couldn’t find it and credited my credit card account a refund. They did give me a $10 coupon for the next purchase. FYI that figure was going for about $50 on the secondary market at the time and I ordered it a couple of years after it’s retail release. Somehow they supposedly had some in.

Which was a bummer but it is what it is and that was the only time I had something like that happen to me. But I find that BBTS is still reliable for the most part.
