    I'm looking at put cowfish technology in, as it will run it off 12 voltage.

      Thanks for your comment! While we install both Cowfish antennas and Starlink dishes based on customer preference, we often lean towards Starlink for its reliable high-speed internet, especially in remote areas. With a solid power setup, Starlink can provide consistent connectivity, making it ideal for streaming and video calls. If you're looking for reliable internet while on the road, Starlink is definitely worth considering!

    Hi. Any benefits to having multiple small MPPT regulators over one large one?

    My wife and I will be retiring soon, and we are on the lookout for a caravan that we can travel around Australia in.
    We have been looking for over 2 years, and it always comes down to how long we can stay off the grid for.
    And the answers ranger from, "I need to look that up or "they just shoot in the dark and just lie to you.
    I have a 2018 triton manual. My question is, what is the most reliable caravan on the market that my car can tow?

      Unfortunately with smaller dual cab utes like the triton you are definitely weight limited. However, you should be able to find a suitable smaller 18ft van with a great layout to suit you and your triton. We don’t recommend van manufacturers specifically as each one has their own pros and cons. Find a layout you like, then make sure the chassis construction is sound.

    Is the starlink running of the inverter or 12volts

      This van uses its inverter to run Starlink. Cheers.

      Thanks for your question!
      The cost of the off-grid power system can vary depending on the specific components and upgrades you choose.
      Each of our upgrades is customised to suit our clients' existing caravan, power setup, and power needs. This particular build included additional work that may not be mentioned in the video and may not apply to all upgrades.
      Generally, a complete off-grid power upgrade like this can range from $15k to $30k.
      For a more accurate estimate, we recommend reaching out to us directly or subscribing to our channel to see our upcoming video, where we discuss the costs in detail.

    i have to ask based on the a 620ah 12.8v battery, do you not think it is worth based on a induction cooktop plus ac unit possible of doing up to 7kw across say 4 burners pus the ac, that a 48v system be a better option for wiring and efficiency?

    • @outechoffgrid
      @outechoffgrid  Месяц назад +2

      Not necessarily. There are a lot of factors that need to be taken into consideration with battery voltage including cost, efficiency and what charging sources are available. There are definitely advantages to 48v in terms of output, cable sizing and efficiency. However there are also disadvantages also like the need to series the solar array and a limited number of 12/48v DCDC chargers.
      As technology improves 48v will be a much more likely option for all high powered electrical installations in caravans.
