You two are so sweet . My husband and I are both disabled , and in wheelchairs .
Our situations were both progressive , so we weren't always in a wheelchair , I actually was first . I had people say that I was lucky he didn't leave me when I became disabled . Can you imagine .
We have in home care as well .
But we are very happy , and supportive to each other .
I wish you two a happy life together .

Love the bum-squeezing mention. You're completely right about maintaining that feeling, that attention in your relationship regardless of whatever else is going on. It's about still being a human being in a relationship who happens to have a disability, rather than being a disabled person who happens to be in a relationship.
Love you guys and it's awesome to have you both weighing in on this stuff -- it's not often one gets to hear the partners' side of things. But I love even more how happy you both seem together. Hope things are going well for you xoxo

As a disabled person who is LGBT, I can't stop smiling! I'm 18 and have never been on a proper date. I've tried relationships, but there are just so many setbacks that sometimes I wonder if it's even worth it. I've never even made it to the first date so far, and friendships are hard enough to maintain when you're "different'. Especially when those differences mean there are some days where you have to unexpectedly cancel plans or when you just can't talk to people sometimes. I'm visually impaired, have mental health problems, have carpal tunnel, am allergic to wheat, and have a condition so far undiagnosed which causes me many physical symptoms. It's quite complicated and time consuming to care for myself. And many people don't respond well to entering this new world in many cases. This video gave me hope I haven't had in a long time

I'll let you in on a secret (that is not really a secret)... I didn't start dating until I was 22. It took me time to be comfortable in my rather difficult body and to really crystallise who I am as a person. I think you have to really love yourself before you can share that love with others. Good luck 💕

HAHAHA on "carrying on" when someone disabled has a moment, one of my friends used to pass out multiple times daily, and she coped best when she was just left to herself to wake up, take a breath and carry on. When she collapsed we basically made sure she was breathing then just squat down and carry on talking to each other until she woke up. Other people would FREAK out and ask if we needed any help because we're just ignoring this person on the floor. But when someone has those sorts of things regularly, you just take it in your stride and wait for them to be okay again (while making sure they're not in serious danger of course).

Wow thank you for sharing your awesome relationship like this! I’m a lesbian with chronic depression (and partial hearing loss, but I get by). I just left a relationship in part because I sensed that my girlfriend didn’t truly accept my depression; she didn’t seem to fundamentally understand that I couldn’t “snap out of it” willingly. Thank you for giving me hope that it’s possible to maintain a healthy romance in spite of our flaws 💕

I love someone who can't walk and can't open her hands due to her disability so it would definitely help to hear how others deal with their partner being able and themselves being disabled.

My girlfriend and I both have disabilities and it's been really awesome because we're both very understanding of each other, but also they are different so we can help each other. She's visually impaired so I read subtitles for her. I have scoliosis so she helps me lift things. It has been really nice having someone who is so understanding.

i feel like i don't say this enough but i just love you two and going back and watching your old videos just fills me with such joy while we all wait patiently and with baited breath for your next video! i especially love rewatching this video because it always gives me hope that all my health problems will be figured out and i can work WITH them enough to the point i can focus on other things, like relationships. seeing interrabled lesbian relationships is really important and shows me that i can find my own claudia and not deal with the two camps you mentioned of either "oh i can't deal with this" or the "oh my tiny baby i must take care of for the rest of your life and not treat you as my equal". gosh! i just love you two. best couple 💞 you're so perfect together, even with your ups and downs you just fit so right together.

I love this so much. I just stumbled upon this Channel and have been watching your videos. I have a physical disability (mainly in my knees) that makes things a lot harder to do and it causes a lot of fatigue. I really loved seeing this, it reminded me of my girlfriend and I. Whenever I’m taking a little longer to get to my classes at school she follows along with me and never gets frustrated that I take 1000 years to get to one place. 😊such a sweet video
