    Nice diy fix. You saved yourself a few hundred bucks. If you ever run across a repair like this again you for sure should put the clamp on first haha also, a little dish soap inside the rubber clamp will help it slide on and make adjustments easier. I started off making repairs like this around my house because I’m cheap😂 now I’m doing full fix and flips. Nice job buddy.

    Nice video Justin. I fully expect to have the same well I wasn’t planning on having to do that moment as well if I ever have to do this. Man these old houses.

    Thank you for this video! Our master bathroom makes this noise whenever we drain the tub or sink. We were told the master bath was remodeled a few years before we purchased the home. I'm going to open a few walls and check to make sure the plumbing is vented. Thanks 😊
    I comment later as to what I found.....

    Cast iron pipe starts to drop….cut video….putting on the Fernco, won’t fit….cut video. When one edits out the difficult parts it makes any project seem easy peasy.

      Nobody said easy peasy. I do recall saying that this is the hardest part while attaching the clamp. I also have to wonder who wouldn't have took a break cutting 20 feet of cast iron as it began to slip. But thanks for the feedback nonetheless!

    My kitchen sink never made that sound, until I had a metal pipe going in the sink from the wall replaced and now it’s making that sound, is there another easier way to fix that sound?

    Why not just add a sure vent aka one way vent under sink and not cut wall ? 1 inch and half T short riser vent glue it up done ,just asking ?

      I had never heard of one until now. I looked into it. It's definitely a good option. I think I personally still would've done it how I did. But hopefully your comment will reach someone that will go that route or even I myself could try it in the future. Thanks for your feedback!

    Any idea why this would all of a sudden start doing it?

      Maybe your vent stack to your roof is now clogged.

    • @ohokayofficial
      @ohokayofficial 2 месяца назад

      Heavy wind and rain accumulation, with maybe the addition of squirrels messing around on the roofs from overgrown trees.

      Try a Sure Vent Aka One Way Vent. I heard it's a great option.
