- Phase 1 of my aquarium studio is underway. Today I take down the pico aquarium and set up a new nano aquarium for my baby clownfish!
Finally, I have begun the remodel of my aquarium studio. Currently, I have 7 tanks and I'd like to get that down to 3. One of those is the brand new reef tank I've had on my basement floor for a solid 8 months...lol. I should be able to get through it all it 4-5 phases.

You run out of tank tours come to my house in pa lol I got 7 nano tanks jammed with high end corals. Imagine a mini/nano reef builder studio in a apartment hahaha it’s actually really cool I promise.

Im 32 and I have a passion to grow better corals with cheaper petco/Amazon equipment than rich people do with there million dollar tanks. Wen I got into the hobby social media told me I needed all this expensive stuff “I spent $5,000 on a 25 gallon tank and equipment” and it didn’t work I failed. I now grow rainbow chalices in a 10 gallon petco breeder with a side mount filter that was under $500. I wish everyone knew that the common person can AFFORD to grow insane corals too lol. And you don’t need to dose chemicals your first year unless you stuff your tank with corals lol my first week in the hobby brs had me dosing two part with one coral frag hahaha 🤣.. I’m a humble reefer that wishes I could help other new reefers

I never had the pleasure of meeting Jake, but I've followed his channel from the beginning and knew of him even before the channel was started. His insight to the industry, the background in fish and corals, and the connections throughout the hobby, sprinkled with some staunch opinions lended to a unique style of delivery in his videos that won't be replaced. Evan has always done a wonderful job at what he does and I hope the Reefbuilders crew will continue with the channel and the studio. Even now, I'm still in a bit of shock and it's hard to completely digest the news. Thanks for sharing your perspective and friendship with Jake in the tribute.

@@BahamaLlamaCoral That was my best guess, because it seems either Jake or Than had hinted at the possibility of Tidal Gardens getting a frag at about the time Than was traveling around the country and visiting the Reefbuilder's Studio. I had hoped that was the case and my best guess of course was they were hitting you up for a frag. Can't wait to hear what you got going on!

I just recently shut a tank down to move everything to quarantine/sell what I wasn't keeping as my new tank cycles......
And I gotta say taking down is ALOT harder than setting up imo, especially when your not shutting it down in a blind rage xD

Jake was an icon in this industry. He was a wealth of information, including his knowledge of corals and fish. He will be greatly missed. Your new water box tank will be a great home to both uno & dos. Following this build Remy. 👍

Crazy how fragile life is. Uno and Dose should love their new tank. I have 2 frags of the weeping willow although I did not get it from you directly those things are growing massively fast! Look forward to the next video where they get their new home.
It's funny the growth speed in different tanks. Mok-Yi' (Inappropriate Reefer) willow was growing super slow. Same with Tyler. Awesome yours are growing well.
