How to know suitable light for my planted aquarium. and we can use a flat LED light for planted aquarium. We can use that light to how to use how kind of light use. Please make a video sir 🙏🏻❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hey MD, I have been subscribed for awhile now and I've gotta say I get so much enjoyment out of your vids and channel. The best thing Ive done was sub to this channel. Keep it up my friend
Im currently in the process of getting hired at my local aquarium! All due to my passion for fish keeping as a hobby. Who woulda thought that a hobby could turn into a job like this 😅 super excited to have the chance to work with species like discus and saltwater since I cant afford those tanks on my own. Watching content creators in fishkeeping has bolstered my passion for fish, i cant thank yall enough for sharing what you do with the world 😊
I switched to glass-safe scourer, on coarse side there's a mat of thin wires which don't scratch the glass. Kitchen sponges or similar stuff for bathrooms and pools are also fine, but not that good for harder spots. First I clean the glass with a magnetic scrape, then it's scourer and old debit card for spots near/in sand. Of course, razor is razor, but the chance of scratches is higher, too.
So great to see more fish going in! As long as Chunks won't start eating his new neighbors, I think he'd be a perfect fit for the 8' tank! And the electric blues could raise up some babies without worrying about him snacking on them.
2:02 - For those who don't want to use razor, buy a special aquarium scourer in the LFS. On coarse side there's a mat of soft wires, but they don't scratch the glass. In my case it's Dennerle Cleanator scourer and Float and SGG Diamant (Optiwhite) glass. Razor is still better, but I had some bad experience with it in the past.
I love the way they are schooling across the tank from island to island. So I'm going to keep that in mind on my rebuild. I really think thats a better idea than just an offest island. I really love the movement you're getting.
I totally agree with your comment on catching fish! That ALWAYS happens the first few are caught off guard and easy…then it gets weird 😂. I end up feeling so awful because I have to trap them in a corner to catch them but it must be done lol
Hello @MDFishTanks you are not going to believe what I found an extremely rare pure purple male betta at Petco earlier today I am not lying i have it in my aquarium right now, when at the Petco as soon I saw his colour at first i couldn't make it out because the lighting there sucks until I pull out my cellphones flashlight as soon i noticed it's beautiful purple colour I picked it up carefully and bought it immediately now he’s happy living in a 30 gallon fully aqua-scape aquarium that resembles their natural habitat, at Petco where i live they have a black orchid betta, koi betta, and so many more. I really enjoy watching your videos keep up the great work @MDFishTanks
I made a credit card blade (non sharpened) for my blade scrapper works just as good as a metal razor blade but less chance of cutting myself or my fish xxx

Frozen sausages of pond compost make good cheap root tabs. I also grind a couple of root tabs into a batch. You need to be quick shoving them into the substrate as they melt and disintegrate.
Keyhole cichlids are just not common enough in the aquarium hobby. It’s just a little amazingly beautiful fish for the planted aquarium. Not the most colourfull, but it winns on everything else. I keep them with my Rio Manacupuro Angelfish and a big school of Diamond Tetra. Always something to look at.
The more I see of them the more I think they'll be in the community tank I'll set up when I get my new place. I love how peaceful and chilled they are. Understated colouring for some maybe but such a beautiful fish in their way.
Big fan! Great Content. I know you love rainbows, but you should do a 4 foot tank for Giant Danios. Blue and orange, fast current fish. Beautiful, school, and zoom around the tank..
@@paceritz535I can guarantee you this scape is here for at least a year!! Totally agree with you. Sad to see Chunks stuck in one corner of a smaller tank due to the breeding pair.
Agreed, 👍 I think he would be so happy with more room… long as he doesn’t eat the little fish…?😮
@@gemmacorinne9487 yeah, I was wondering if he's big enough to eat the neons / cardinals.

Best tip I got from MD that razor scraper.
Tanks looking great, … love those Mbuna’s
If you dip the flakes directly in the water with your hands then the fishes will able to recognise and eat the food faster. :) Just an advice.

What kind of fish is chunks?
Look into Tunze Care Magnet best scrubber and blade all in one.

Massive..?!?
Maybe you can crumble the flakes underneath the water surface. That way you eliminate fish getting floating belly's because of them not taking in air
Following suraj01’s example with a wish. I wish that I could send you pics of what I have for a 200 gallon tank and you could show me what you would do with it. 😊
Someone needs to make a magnetic razor scraper, can’t be that hard right!?
You can get those! Just Google "Magnetic Aquarium Scraper" and they'll pop right up 😁
Mag Float sells a metal scraper attachment for there magnetic algae cleaners. I really like mine but they are kind of fragile. I dropped and bent mine but they come in two packs so I still have one.
Tunze Care Magnets are kinda pricey, but very well designed. The only thing that touches the interior glass are the blades (one on each end). This means all the force of the (very strong) magnet is concentrated at the blade's edge. And there's virtually no risk of catching a grain of sand and scratching your glass.
You could do it.
