Let's hope to see more tanks done in this style. I feel like they're more reflective of creativity than deep pockets like a lot of the neon "jewelry case" tanks we've been drawn to.
I also like that his tanks aren’t just TEEMING with fish like so many reef “influencer” tanks are. I like that each fish in there has room to move and live without running into another fish. I personally don’t mind the whole neon thing - the availability of the fluorescent colours kinda makes the hobby unique - but the white light “natural” look also definitely has its place and looks amazing too.
Jake Adams is a huge inspiration of mine in my reefing journey and it saddens me that we lost him so soon. I’m honored to be referenced to this reefing great.
Love the way you reef your way! Tanks look amazing. This is what the hobby should be about. Expressing yourself into your tank, and doing your own thing.
@@inland_reef absolutely! You have done what the most of us would not dare to do. Be different. I may venture one day. Thanks for allowing Remy to film and share this with us. Take care.
Always love your videos when you head over to Tyler's place. He is so knowledgeable about this hobby and his tanks are awesome. Oh yeah and after our quick chat at Gateway when I was discussing a 240 with Chad and you were like just go for it. Well I went for it. Cannot wait to start this new BIG tank journey.
I love the combination with driftwood, so good to know that it works! The next interesting experiment would be with dead leaves on the ground, as is the case in Raja Ampat.
Im so glad I was able to finally find a piece. It’s such a cool coral that many wouldn’t think twice about. If you have ig, send me a picture of your blue ridge. I would love to see which species you have. I’m still waiting for it to grow enough to understand it’s growth form so I can identify it.
Wow. I was curious about ph in a drift wood aquarium ? I know my wife's shrimp freshwater shrimp aquarium the driftwood was beneficial to lower ph as the driftwood gets broken down.
I need to get a ph probe to monitor that. I think that would be interesting data to uncover. Currently not monitoring it but I think it’s something I will add in the future as this is the number one question I’ve gotten from this tank. Stay tuned!
I am extremely fortunate to live 5 blocks from Zooxae, the retail store for SRaquastik. I was asking Scott there about mangroves and he brought up Tyler's tanks. He had mentioned that mangroves need to be started in fresh water and great care is needed in transporting them to salt. I guess i was hoping for a bit more direction if anbody know....
I was wondering what other Hardscape you could use in saltwater! I've seen people use lava rock, but aside from that it's just been the same old reef rock, artificial or wild. I'd love to try some driftwood now knowing that it's possible! Maybe some types that are less prone to leeching would work better, like spider or manzanita wood.
Exactly! I love how Tyler is always experimenting. There are so many biotopes that exist in the world. The fluorescent look has it's place but these tanks are always so beautiful!
I have lava stone in another setup that wasn’t featured in this video (gonna have to film that soon) but I agree with you. What else is possible? Who knows. Still so much we don’t know about keeping saltwater fish tanks
Chuminghams has to be the best. He's probably the most cutting edge non professional reefer - maybe Yoshi's home tank comes a close second with his acropora but he does work for a collector.
Tell me more. I am reading that it is illegal to import but there's gotta be thousands of specimens in the hobby that have been aquacultured at this point.
@@BahamaLlamaCoralI only know of one other person that has it and they wont sell....because they can't. You're allowed to have the skeleton but not a live specimen, its endangered.
The program is on hold while I get the renovations finished around the studio. Once I get a handle on everything again I'll fire it back up. It's a time commitment for sure! I will be moving Uno and Dos to their first tank together in the next video release - hopefully tomorrow!

Tyler may be the most unique reefer out there. His tanks and presentation are inspiring.
Appreciate that! Thank you
Honestly, these tanks are the prettiest you've showcased this year! Absolutely loving these inshore tanks.
Thank you! I can’t wait to see how they look in another year!
So natural! And because there isn't too much blue light, EASY to shoot! lol
Love this guy - getting huge huge Jake Adams vibes from him. Fantastic video as always dude.
I love his natural looking tanks. He just keeps evolving!

I love how natural they look they all remind me of tidepools
Thank you! That was my goal. I wanted something that reminded me of snorkeling in the tidal zones
My favorite areas of the shore...they are like tiny little ecosystems.
Always love seeing Tyler’s tanks. Such a great style!
What a cool tank! I love people pushing the limits and trying something unique. Not every tank has to look like a blacklight poster xD
Exaclty! Tyler is always trying new things for sure.
Thank you!
Getting closer to that 20k. Good luck
Thank you!

I really really like that driftwood tank. I’m going to add it to my list of tanks to try. Well done Tyler and thanks for the tour Remy
Instead of driftwood, you should try 2x4's 😂 Thanks for watching Matthew!
Can’t wait to see what you create Matthew!
The Scott crow things makes me laugh every time
Someday the original Mortal Kombat voice guy will come to collect...lol
Love how unique his tanks are! Awesome work
He's always cooking up something new!
Appreciate that!
Loved this episode ❤️
Beautiful unique displays for sure.
Great job to you both!
Thank you!!

Big tank?!? Yes that’s awesome. Time to grow that toadstool out huge
LOVE IT!
@@inland_reef 240 gallon 8ft long Planet. Oh that Toadstool is really going to explode. So excited.
Love his tanks!! So beautiful and inspiring!
I love the natural look!
Thank you very much!
I enjoy his tanks. Completely different from the mainstream and one of my influences with my horse tank
Thank you! Send me a photo on Instagram if your seahorse tank. Would love to see it!

The blue ridge coral is definitely a unique and hard to come by. I've had my blue ridge for several years. Tyler's tanks are definitely one of a kind.

favorite tanks on all of insta!
SO GOOD!
Thank you!
Hurricane Aftermath is an amazing tank. Also has that amazing yellow tail tamarin - mine is my favourite fish
C'mon, Remy. You gotta give us an update on this awesome driftwood tank!

Chumminghams was my favorite, looking for an update on him and Ben
Definitely!
I saw an aquarium coop product on my reef channel, the world's are colliding
LOL!! It's cuz "driftwood" was used...
The crossover is happening!!!

nope for fresh water 💧
You're right, wood never comes in contact with saltwater in the wild... 😆 I kid, I kid. The aesthetic isn't for everyone, thats for sure.
The ending lol
