    I have the exact same faucet. Wasn't sure about trying to remove the top part since it was welded on pretty good with all the corrosion. Took your advice and soaked it with penetrating oil. Actually have a plumbing socket that fit perfectly. Came off like butter! Thank you SO much for your video!

    My hot water keeps running despite turning the handle in the off position so I’m guessing something is loose or the threading on the cartridge has worn down. I was already getting overwhelmed with the thought of repairing it on my own but you explained it SO well and gave me the confidence I needed. Thank you! 🙏🏽

    Good video, helped me a lot. One thing you should mention, before you start, put In the drain plug , or rag at the bottom of the sink, so your screws don’t accidentally fall down the drain 😢

    What was the cartridge size for this faucet?

    • @DIYPlumbingGuy
      @DIYPlumbingGuy  Год назад +1

      I just added to the description. For the cold use 3S-11C and for the hot 3S-11H. You can find them in any of the big hardware stores.

    Are you calling the stem a cartridge? Because the word cartridge is not on the stem package I bought at store.
    So no spring underneath like the other videos? Mine appears to have no spring.
    What about the handle alignment with the top of the stem? It appears mine has to be set just right or it won’t turn effectively. There is no white connecting part on the top.
    Thanks

    • @DIYPlumbingGuy
      @DIYPlumbingGuy  4 месяца назад +1

      The terms "stem" and "cartridge" are often used interchangeably. In reality, a stem is used when there are separate handles for hot and cold water, like in the video here. On the other hand, a cartridge is used when there's a single handle, as in your shower or kitchen faucet.
      I'm not sure which model you have, but some of them don't have a spring and simply require a stem replacement. If the handle doesn't turn properly, you might have the wrong stem or may have mixed up the hot and cold sides. Each is designed to turn in a specific way. I hope this explanation helps, and good luck with your repair! 👍😊

      @@DIYPlumbingGuy thank you very useful info. Yea mine do not come with springs. None in the faucet or with the stems. Thanks for clarification, you’d think the brand would have a video or instructions explaining this but no 😂👍🏻
