This looks like the perfect answer. I’ve got a 2015 Mustang GT, but I don’t want to put any speakers in the back sitting in the backseat so just wanna make sure I can slide it under there and it still sit without rubbing their feet up against.
Looks like this would fit nicely behind the seat in my F150. I have a gap back there that i installed a pull lever to pull the seat down, ive seen people fit a slim box back there but this seems slimmer.
@ appreciate the comment lol I have zero experience with car audio but yes I would assume there’s no such thing as a “too big” power or ground wire but I mean if it doesn’t fit the terminal on the amp then technically it is too big? Lol 🤷🏻♂️
@@BigGuyGolf you can always buy a reducer so you can still run the heavier gauge to/from locations and still use units that dont require it, this way, yes you can "future proof" for going bigger later on if you choose.
@ I have a 2011 f150, putting in an android stereo similar to yours next week. Thinking I might add the sub too. Why did you buy the Rockford instead of some other cheaper options on amazon?
@@Durataur this is the Rockville which is one of the more budget friendly options out there. Honestly it is perfect and has been problem free since install, so I’d 100% recommend it. Frankly I wouldn’t go any cheaper than this.
@@AJLoDato22 that’s fair for sure. Good to know you’ve had a great experience! I’m sure people would love a 1 year update on your head unit as well! The biggest thing about these android head units is the fact that they usually don’t age as well as a traditional kenwood or whatever due to apps needing to update and requiring more ram and whatnot. Just a thought!
I agree ☝️. You will have to split the power, RCA, and remote. Unsure if your power wire gauge would have to increase thought (technically decrease). It should sound great with two wired together!
Will this work for my 2010 Toyota Camry with an aftermarket head unit, I plan on upgrading my speakers too idk if some are blown or if it’s my aftermarket radio overpowering
Yes it’s very odd. The inside is near perfect, but all of the seat brackets (only) have surface rust. The previous owner was from the coast of Louisiana.
@@AJLoDato22 I've had Toyota's since the 80's, they are great at a lot of things, some some things not so much, like paint and rust, maybe they should work on that.
Unfortunately…maybe fortunately, I did not have the JBL sound system. I’m not sure if there would be a difference on install though, as long as you have RCA outputs.
Great video. Thanks. What do you recommend for really loud, clean Sub in this format for EDM Music I/m producing in a 2016 Kia Sorento 3 row vehicle using an Alpine ILX-W670 Head Unit? -David-Austin Texas
Thanks! I don’t think you’ll get the performance you’re looking for out of a slim subwoofer. The only way would be wiring two of these, or being wise with the placement (under your seat). It hits hard especially when you sit over it in my back seat.
Have a new f350 and there is no bass at all. Would you think I could wire up 2 of these? One for each front seat? Would it sound better than just one? I dont want it to sound weird having jt come just from my drivers seat
Yes, I do think you can wire up two but I’m not sure exactly how. I plan on trying this on my next truck build series. I don’t think it would be weird with just one as it would sound normal to others in the truck, similar to mine under the rear. To date I still haven’t had any issues and love it. Hope it works out well for you!
I bought the subwoofer solo with no wire, so the links in the description include wire. I’d suggest getting the one in the link so you don’t have to size it yourself.
Nice video. And if u do feel like you need to let the people next to you know that you are playing music, so they feel the thump, you probably worry to much about other people , right !
I’m going for a stealth build so this might be exactly what I need to enjoy the music without drawing too much attention 👍🏽
You and I think alike!
@@AJLoDato22hows the bass ?
That is the most organized and clean garage I have seen on RUclips.
You definitely have your s*** together.
Thanks for the great video
lol my wife says I have crippling OCD 😂😂

10" is the best size sub to use period for all around music sound.
I agree 💯

Sounds like it could be a great option. So far no complains with mine, it has been awesome.
Great video and love the “hit”😊😊
woah i was not expecting it to be that good actually! great video and great subwoofer
It has been super surprising! So far, I’m really enjoying it.
That 4 gauge is an overkill this thing probably has a 20 amp fuse at most 12 gauge would be more than enough
Haha yup I quickly realized that
@@AJLoDato22just curious would 8 gauge have worked? Incase you wanted to go with a bigger setup and not needing to rewire everything
@BigGuyGolf - 😵💫 Bro... you can't go "too big" on your power/ground wires. Of course, it works.

Sounds perfect, I don’t want the people around me to hear the bass. Sounds like it’s better than most factory subs too.
Sounds like this would work great for you! In my instance, this is significantly better sound than a factory JBL.

no, it doesn't

Yes, just be sure to wire them right and make sure you can supply enough power.

Yup if you have an aftermarket head unit with RCA outputs, it should be a straightforward install.

What aftermarket radio is that? Preciate the content 🤙
It’s a Dasaita head unit - I have another install and review video if you’re interested in it!
I need an after market stereo? Or can the factory one be used
Nope no need for an aftermarket head unit. If you have factory RCA’s it should work, if not you’ll typically need a ‘line out converter’.
What head unit is that?
It’s a Dasaita. I have an install video on it for the tundra if you’re interested!

It is a Dasaita. Feel free to check out the install & review on my Tundra playlist.
Blew up the one I had but my fault had it turned all the way up
Can this be put under the front seat?
Yup, lots of folks put these under front seats. I just didn’t have room with the rear-seat air ducts.
Looking to get one of these how is it holding up?
No issues whatsoever. Debatably one of the best mods I’ve done - love it every day.
Did you tie in down in any way?
Yup I ended up screwing it down. Though on a tundra this is all just foam and carpet so it’s not super stout
