Man this video from beginning to end was so dope man. All the way from the music to the great shots you took. It felt like you really experienced the city and took everything in. I love this so much.
Love your vids, nothing overly complicated or technical, just simple snippets of every day life but pieced together so well! Always inspired by your vids man, keep goin!!
I like the black and white aesthetic in both your moving images and your photographs. It was a pleasure watching this video! For me, each of your pictures is a work of art! I had to think of Vivian Maier not only once. For example 6:23 or 9:20 and some others. NYC and the black and white look of your superb photography suggests these thoughts.
Dudeeeee! I gotta say, you're my favorite YT hybrid photographer (film/digital). You're so humble, kind, and you have an AMAZING eye. You're no fluff and I freaking love it. So tired of all these influencers lately who produce subpar/mehhh work, yet they get thousands of likes. You're a breath of fresh air
This video was a very subtle reminder that great photography takes work. you were on the streets literally ALL day. I need to push myself to do that more often
This was simply spetacular. I love B&W and this mix with the slow jazz was a love letter to the old days but with a spice of modern on top. I wanna take some pictures now
Man this was so good...my eyes were glued literally through the whole video and the photos were incredible, you made great work on this trip. Also exciting to hear that you're thinking about a move!
Dude, your videos are second to none. The amount of talking head youtubers with fancy lighting behind them in their little makeshift studio, talking recycled specs and forum points... They're unwatchable. You are a truly gifted photographer. You have such a great eye for getting the shot, every time. You do wax poetic, but it's ok, you're a poet. No spec sheet blabbing, just FINE ART. by the way, since you've moved to NY, it would be awesome to bump into you one day out there. Would you ever consider doing 1 on 1 walks? I moved a few hours upstate, but have family in LI and Hoboken
From someone who is from there, I can see why people would say it feels like youre in a movie. Its still mesmerizing to me. I was surprised you didnt include the text on the floor in the skate park/bridge shot.
This is another level bro ! I have been watching your videos for years. Every single one and what you just did is a masterpiece. The format, the music, the phase, los tiempos chicos ! This is awesome 👏 And I cannot stop thinking that this was because you miss your go pro mount ! Something that you could though it was a negative experience ended up bringing something new, exquisite 🙌 Great job !
This video was such a pleasure to watch. Everything from the cinematography to the music, not to mention the breathtaking photos, truly a masterpiece. Thank you for sharing.
This was absolutely fantastic. The production value and general mood you went for captured absolutely perfectly. I really appreciate how much effort has gone into this. Oh and the Street photography......well that was fantastic too. Unreal work mate.
Excellent video. I've very much enjoyed your stuff since RUclips first suggested you to me. But this one is up another level. Congratulations and keep this stuff coming.
Lovely photos. Some hit, some missed. Thanks for sharing. The gr is such a beauty. Love mine, using it for my edc. It has brought me closer to my subjects
Love it. I feel like I say this on every video you make, but this is another step is pushing street photography videos to become cooler. Keep pushing the genre!
The video and stills both are great. Well done. This has been an interesting journey watching this progression over the last couple of years. I believe others see this as well, with Faizal arriving at that station. Thank you, Loren
Your work always makes me want to get back to the art of photography and videography, but your musical selection was amazing! I'm a musician too, keep up the good work!
Absolutely loving all these recent videos. Excited to see more from your time in New York. And I’m getting an OG Ricoh GR - excited to make a vid on it hopefully soon.
Thank you for this video. Just booked my room and flight to NY for six nights in the middle of September. I love to walk the streets of NY. It is unlike any city in the US I have visited. Six days isn’t enough. Enjoyed the video clips and stills in glorious B&W. That is the way ai normally shoot. Been looking at Earst Haas & Saul Leiter color images in NYC and may do just color images this time around. Also enjoyed you selection of cool jazz. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
Such a nice job on this video! I've always wanted to visit and shoot NYC. A word of warning however, please be cautious wearing headphones when traveling the subway and walking in such a city. Always be aware of your surroundings, at all times. Keep up the hustle!
once again the whole video was just great i don’t find the right words. especially the opening scene was just one beautiful work of art to look at! love how you developed your own way of story telling ❤🖤🤍🩶
Hi Faizal such a lovely video. So much to learn. BTW have you changed your set up for the gr3x, I see a square hood there. Would really appreciate if you can just give a brief on the set up.
This is another level Faizal. Art. Loved it. I feel like even the way you were seeing your images and composing in real time was more mature, more thoughtful. The video editing choices too. I learned something today. Thank you.
Hey man, love the content you make keep it up. I’m wondering thought why own both an x100v and a Ricoh GRIIIX? I actually just did the same thing recently haha but was hoping to get your perspective on why having both makes sense (I think I’m just tryna justify this GR purchase lol) thanks
Love this! I’m planning to buy a GR IIIX but I’m not sure if I should also include the Pentax AF-201FG 🤔 can’t see any video reviews, demo about that flash and if it’s worth purchasing. I’m a newbie in the photography world 😅
I love your style and this shot was incredible. How do you create the QR code for your website? Have you created a page on your website specifically for the QR code?
Man this video from beginning to end was so dope man. All the way from the music to the great shots you took. It felt like you really experienced the city and took everything in. I love this so much.
This is why you're one of the best out there! Great video, great photo's... thank you for your work and inspiration.
Love the b/w look, paired with the jazz music. My favorite part was the beginning
Love your vids, nothing overly complicated or technical, just simple snippets of every day life but pieced together so well! Always inspired by your vids man, keep goin!!
This was indeed one of the best videos I've ever seen of someone out shooting. Great job

You can really see a sort of maturity in this video contrasted with his older stuff. I’m here for it.
Appreciate that
look at faizal man, so inspirational
This was such a treat to watch. Thank you for this video, it left me feeling inspired and just in pure awe.
Classic scenes and vibes of an iconic city. Beautiful production Faizal
Thank you for a new perspective on places I'm totally familiar with.
The new bar has been set for street photography videos Faizal. Excellent photography and production value. Cheers from Canada 🍁 Brett
From someone who is from there, I can see why people would say it feels like youre in a movie. Its still mesmerizing to me. I was surprised you didnt include the text on the floor in the skate park/bridge shot.

black and white aesthetic is something special
Fabulous work. Can't wait to go back here myself!
This reminds me so much of the Woody Allen film Manhattan. I loved that just as much as this.
This was absolutely fantastic. The production value and general mood you went for captured absolutely perfectly. I really appreciate how much effort has gone into this. Oh and the Street photography......well that was fantastic too. Unreal work mate.
your music choice for the video is just to damn good, i could watch this on a loop
Faizal is straight with making movies on the subway. Great work bud!

Absolutely love the black and white vibe combined with the music, very engaging.

Black and white video just hits different
Amazing video, it's easy anymore to get a bit bored with shots of New York City, but damn there's always some fresh way to feel, thanks, I loved that!
The video and stills both are great. Well done. This has been an interesting journey watching this progression over the last couple of years. I believe others see this as well, with Faizal arriving at that station. Thank you, Loren

New York looks even more facinating somehow
Absolutely loving all these recent videos. Excited to see more from your time in New York. And I’m getting an OG Ricoh GR - excited to make a vid on it hopefully soon.
who would have thought a black and white go pro footage would be cool aszzz. nice!
Haha, this isn't with the GoPro but my Sony but I think black and white on GoPro footage would look quite nice too

I’m telling you the B&W look you’ve been doing is going too the moon! Very good slick work and video! 🍊
I've really been feeling the black and white haha. It's crossed over into my video now

Cool vibes. That GRIII is twisting my arm.
I’m always so impressed for the amount of rats in NYC, and in the Central Park.
Best video you've ever made.
Wow, thanks!!
Amazing work as always. May I ask what lens hood that is on the GR?
Your best video thus far. Kudos!

Got that Woody Allen vibe. I dig it 100 percent…
Wow This is a so good Video ! You Made my day ! Thank you
aw appreciate the love!
Simply Wonderful…
Did you use XT5 or Sony to film this? And which lens did you use for movie parts?
You do not miss.
beautiful video and amazing pictures. Please, could you tell me where the skate park is located?
I have an old XT2 with an 18mm 1.4 lens, and I am very undecided about whether to get this Ricoh or an X-e4 / X-T4 for my travels.

Well done!
You really only let 6:23 live on screen for a second like that wasn't an absolute banger?
Criminal 😂
I love your style and this shot was incredible. How do you create the QR code for your website?
Have you created a page on your website specifically for the QR code?
