Istanbul is definitely one of the places I want to travel to the most, the interesting geography, the history and the geopolitical importance are insanely interesting to me so I can’t wait to visit it one day
Lived there for 2 years and I still can't get enough of it. Istanbul is a magical, thriving, gorgeously chaotic feast for the senses. Beautiful homage - and an inspiration (if any further were needed) for me to get the entire family back down there, this time with the Sony and Fuji in the bag - thanks!
Istanbul is such a photogenic city, you could just close your eyes, spin around, stop, and press the shutter and the photo will be brilliant. Thanks for the great video
I’ve been living in istanbul since i was born. This city is never enough for me. Love your video, love your photographs and hope to see you here again. The shores of the Bosphorus on the European side towards the Black Sea are worth taking photographs as well. just a recommendation for photographers in Istanbul ☺️
Currently in Istanbul myself, visiting my family in Kadıköy after 2 years of not being able to because of the pandemic. Your shots are incredible and really inspiring for developing my own photography! Hope you have the best time exploring Istanbul; it’s one of my favourite cities in the world ❤️
Faizal, i only recently discovered your channel but I really love the way you document your photography journey. You have a very unique way of presenting your photos and your photos themselves all clearly tell a story. I watched a lot of street photographers on youtube who have 500K-over Mil subscribers, and I feel like you’re so underrated in comparison. Every street photography channel starts to feel somewhat generic and everyone’s “story” in their photos is to be as close to the subject and violate their personal space as much as possible. You’ve demonstrated what good street photography is: A mixture of great composition, interesting subject, and emaculate lighting. What makes you unique is you have a good sense of design in your photos. And as a graphic designer, I find your style to be very pleasant. Well done!
dude i have been following your channel for almost 2 years and i can’t believe that you came to my city. If you want to hang out i would love to show you around as a local. enjoy your stay here :))
Istanbul is spectacular for street. Still one of my top three places in the world. I'm curious though, was it part of the plan to go during Ramadan or was that by chance?
Great video Faizal! I love the mood, the edit of the video, all the shots of the cats, that one shot with the two shadows on the subway stairs, also the shots on the ferry are amazing.
I enjoyed every minute of your video as you and Roman are my favourite photographers that I follow on RUclips and IG. Istanbul is where I was born and spent the most of my life, so this makes it more special for me.. Keep up the good work Faizal!
I am a begginer fotographer and I am from İstanbul. I am watching your videos and get inspired from them. When i saw the video title i just scremed!!! Thank you for this lovely video and thank you for showing us this magical, lovely İstanbul.
I'm so glad you didn't force yourself to do a classic vlog style content. I keep coming here for your own style. I think some people are just delighted to share where and what kind of coffee they had this morning. Some are pushing for people to get involved in their story and become influencers. Thank you for creating amazing content your way. Btw. great photos.
This is very true! I think people just try to be monetizing everything you know? A coffee stops being a just a coffee and starts being a shoutout you can get something out of ahah what times!
I absolutely find your videos so soothing and I love the music the tone of your voice it’s almost like a meditation photo video! Also your super cute 🥰 thank you for your content!
I really enjoy and appreciate that you do your own style of video rather than attempting to turn it into the vlog style, I think you enjoying where you are and the time you have there really shows in the photos that you get. That is also the beauty of photography...you can capture a great little moment so much better than worrying about recording everything so you dont miss something. Hope you enjoy your time in Turkey Faizal.
To be fair, nobody needs to see what you do every minute of everyday. The way you approach your video is absolutely the essence of what you’re seeing and that is the best concentrated way to do it. Wonderful flow and story telling through all mediums dude. Blown away by it.
Oh man, what a pleasure to meet and go out shooting in Istanbul! ☺️ With all the time spent together, I wish you remembered the name of "the other photographer" though, lol 😅 Definitely want to repeat this experience, both go back to Istanbul and meet with you anywhere in the world. And it will happen. Enjoy the rest of your stay mate, see you soon 👋🏻
First of all welcome to Turkey, its so nice that you dicided to go for a couple days to İstanbul. Your cips are awesome. I love then so much. I hope you enjoy in Istanbul. Maybe you'll also travel other countrys in Turkey. Thank you for this amazing video. From Tukey 🖐
Enjoyed riding along with you. Also enjoyed your quiet clicks which announced which moments you decided to single out. Nice exploration of sun & shadow. Am a cat person, enjoyed seeing all these critters roving about,too...
Fantastic VDO !!! I wonder what you use for shooting this VDO. I love the colour tone of all your VDOs. How did you do or tools you used to achieve this colour tone ?
Grandissimo. I have a Fuji 100xv. I am thinking to buy a RICOH GR III, but I am not sure that it makes sense. Maybe one day you will comment it in a video
It's an interesting way of making a video. I don't see myself walking around vlogging all day. This is more realistic. I'll give it a go for my next video.
is the Eye-Autofocus of this X-E4 with the pancake 27mm 2.8 lens better and more accurate than a Ricoh Gr III x with simmilar 40mm ? and will the sharpness of the fuji at the edge be as sharp as for the Ricoh, or even better? I dont find any comparisons between these two. I want to decide between this two cameras. I know that the Ricoh is extremely sharp in the edges even at 2.8, so I only would buy the Fuji if it is as sharp as the Ricoh or even sharper.
I enjoyed every second of it, Ive been there few month ago and it was way too crowded to take photos but at the time you’re filming this seems a bit less busier than usual istanbul, thanks for this amazing video, enjoy the rest of your trip.
Hey Faizal ✌🏼 I'm wondering what your thoughts are on carrying around video equipment whilst shooting? Carrying around 2 cameras is always a hassle and i'm wondering if its a big impact on your shooting experience. Thanks ☺
Man the mood that you set with your content and the music is just amazing I listen to this at work and just from the music I can tell the footage is amazing. Keep it up! Super jealous you get to go out there for so long.
Awesome video! Felt so honoured that an US photographer I love visited my country and photographed it! If you ever decide do stop by Izmir as well, Please! let me know I would love to meet & take a couple shots with you
I’m really enjoying how you’re combining videos and stills!!Since the title is X-E4 and Ricoh GR IIIx, I’m assuming you weren’t carrying the X100v for this photo walk (were B&W stills with the Ricoh and color stills with the Fuji??). Are you using a 35mm equivalent focal length lens on the Fuji to complement the IIIx?
Man i always love watching one of your video's the way their made filmed and edited just makes me always wanna keep watching and coming back it's such a joy to watch keep it up!
Absolutely breathtaking video. Felt like I was watching a movie. It's amazing to see my home country trough your eyes. Can't wait for upcoming video's!
Such a beautiful video Faizal! I’ve watched the last portion repeatedly. The song, photographs, and cinematography is just stunning! Also, any recommendations for a minimal sling for street photography? Carrying an X-E3 w/ 35mm F/2 and 23mm F/2
I was gonna write a comment and compliment you on having found that small-fov abstract style - it then I realized that you have like two or three distinct styles going and all of them are great! So, keep it up, I guess 😃
Great video man! Question, I always shot with film cameras but I am after my first digital camera. I am undecided between X-E4 and GRIII. Any advice? I have been thinking about for weeks but I literally cannot make up my mind! The GRIII is tiny and has IBIS, but I prefer the design of the X-E4, even though it's not as compact, and also doesn't have IBIS. I know it's difficult to choose between the two, but I wish someone decided for me LOL any advice is welcomed! thanks x
@@kovusaur I got the Ricoh GRIII, and after almost one year of using, I have no regrets! incredible camera, amazing portability and the best choice (for my needs) in my opinion :-) let me know what you get x
Excellent video!!! We need technician and business-like @Viva La Film and repair technicians like Jessica Ibarra. There are not many analog repair places and is very refreshing to see young people dedicated in keeping alive the Analog cameras.
Istanbul is definitely one of the places I want to travel to the most, the interesting geography, the history and the geopolitical importance are insanely interesting to me so I can’t wait to visit it one day
Absolutely. Instanbul has to be one of the most beautiful places in the world!
The music beginning at 8:52 is a perfect match for that sequence! I love it!
Good lord the footage you're getting on the A7IV is incredible. Love this style of video as well and can't wait to see more from this trip!
More to come!
Was just wondering what the video portion of this was shot on....nice !!!
But how you graded it too though !!! Has a nice warm and soulful touch to it, good work bro.
Is GoPro still good option for capturing video?
Yeah man agree. Sick.

Your B&W shots hit the spot
the best video i’ve watched from you thus far. well done 👏🏼
Wow, thanks!
2:13 and 8:47 are my favorites, they're incredible. Instanbul looks amazing in black and white
8:18 onwards, the footage is stunning! The boat journey feels so relaxing
Who needs a vlog when you can get THIS. Thank you, it’s always inspiring to watch your work
Can you please do a tutorial on how you color grade your videos? Please. It’s so good.
I have plans to!

so good bro, you inspired me to take up photography again!
These Shots are crazy, love the filmic look you're getting on the sony too!
The photo with the woman in the red dress by the birds is crazy.
Loved the video!

lovely ❤️ have you shot the whole video on A7 IV ? and which video profile or lut if any have you used ? Thankyou
Amazing ! You definitely make me want to go there. Hope you enjoy(ed) the fantastic voyage and looking forward to tha next installment. Take care.
Phenomenal vid, currently on crutches after knee surgery earlier this year and dying to get back out but your vids keep me going photography-wise

That's my question, too. Kind of looked like the 23f2 lens.
I see from another comment it's the 35 f2, so approximately 50mm equivalent.
@@benadrylpumpkinpatch no it was his 35mm f/2. Can’t understand why he was shooting with two cameras with such similar focal lengths.
love the way you combined the beauty of the city
