- just under a year ago I had my truck worked on by kenworth of Columbus in Ohio. If they can't even flush and fill an ac system properly, what else can't they do?
@kenworth
@kenworthofcolumbus
@paccar
This is why you find a good local shop it’s always best
You need to go to private guys, and make sure if you don't know the guy's asks around, I am old time 30+ years OTR..
So fn hard to find good mechanic..Hang in there brotha
I have a good one now. Wish I had found him before going to those hacks
@Trucker Terry i learned the hardway to
I agree dealership is crazy. I just went through it with Volvo dealer. And I don't even want to begin the nightmare that I went through. Like you said if you a big carrier then yes dealership might be good. But even with that you probably would have your own mechanics. Using the dealer's sparingly. If I could do it all over again 25 yrs ago. I would have went to diesel mechanic school and try to learn everything before even thinking about getting in the drivers seat. 😂
Yes! I try to do as much work as I can to avoid going to these criminal shops
That really sucks dude..what about saying to them shove your parts warranty and just have your buddy do it?..Even dealerships for cars are crooks
@@wilE6764 your correct. Even for cars they suck.. LoL no love for us small folk.
Thought it was the golden to never take your truck to the dealership
Unfortunately that’s how warranties work, when your buying the truck they offer you everything, but when you need the warranty they will give you every excuse they can come up with, and it’s so frustrating, trust me I when through that last year with a 2023 w 900, 3 months after truck came out of dealership. Something simple that I paid $120 to my mechanic to do it, took him 10 minutes to fix it. But kenworth dealership told it would take them a least a week to look at it, NOT to fix it, just to look at it, you would think after spending 200k on a truck none of these would happen, boy was I wrong.
It's sad bro, but ur right, some are bad...I won't say all of them, but some of them are a scam to the little guy, they don't screw over the big carriers cause they know they have deep pockets and good lawyers ...that's all , but keep ur head up...
They don't take care of big carriers either,its a license to steal,with overpriced shop rates and sh...ty work
Yeah it's sad bro, but ur right, some of these dealers are a scam for the little guy...they don't screw over the big carriers because they have deep pockets and good lawyers...
Sounds like you dint test it when you were buying the truck. More like your error and not the place you bought it from.
i waited a whole day for a new fridge at kw dealership n they fuccin didnt even install it right. bent up tha frame around it scratched up my interior and got grease all over my custom fit carpets.
Hey bud, how are you? I was wondering how has your truck been that you purchased from Ohio truck sales motor wise was looking into getting a W9 from them.
Motor was great, was rebuilt in 2019. Make sure you double with the shop if ots says it was rebuilt
Hardly any dealerships do what they say anymore.
Wowwwwwwww!!!!!! THAT SUCKS BIGG TIME!!!!!!!🤯🤮😬
Serious question did u buy truck cash or thru financial company cuz I have a question ?
Financed it
@@DrivetoProvide did u refinance thru them or ur own bank of choosing
Congrats on the new baby.
Any chance you could post who the shop you go to down your way? Im up near Cleveland, but having a wide range of reliable mechanics is nice to have in the back pocket.
Elw. I think Grove city Ohio. Definitely recommend
hey bro,I got a 06 w900 myself n I took my truck to Augusta ga kw dealer n they rip me off too so I go to a regular shop
are you sticking with the owner op business model or are you still thinking walmart?? are things really that nad out there man???
Im still waiting to hear back from Walmart. It’s do able out here. I’m just getting hit with big repairs and don’t have the savings anymore
@@DrivetoProvide got you
There should be a law with dealerships, if you spend let's say over 30 geeez, if parts are under a year warranty, so
should the labor!
Stop selling under par junk!
I’m sorry to hear that, it just sucks. Too many places are doing shoddy workmanship, and then don’t stand by their work. I feel your pain
Can you imagine charging 150, 200 dollars an hour and not knowing how to flush a brand new ac system
@@DrivetoProvide I totally agree brother!!
What advice would you give me on ohio truck sales looking to buy another truck
Drive it, get it good and warmed up, if it has a rebuild and paper work call them to verify, and look it over at least 4 times before buying it. Take to a shop if you know a guy. Or bring someone with you to help look
@@DrivetoProvide ok thks
Stealership starts a time card for your truck and it runs all day while they work on other trucks.
oh you got a lot to learn bud
Learning the hard way lol
@TruckerTerry yeah well your doing it keep pushing try to fix stuff your self that's one of many problems with being o/o when your home you then have todo repairs because to pay a shop for everything you will never get ahead there's not enough money in it to pay a shop
Is there anything legally you can do about this?
I don’t believe so
Put some dye in the system with freon and find the leak. Sometimes you have to work on ur own equipment. If the a/c was working before you stop using it. Freon leak out.
Nope. No leak
Check the temp control knob. Make sure the heat and cold knob is turn.
Also i have a bad with the sensor on the line by the condenser
Ohio truck sales the worse place to buy a truck
I bought a truck there a month later I had to put a new engine put in
