If Tricia Leach has even one flaw, I’ve sure never seen it in 7yrs of faithful viewing. Excellent wife, excellent mom, excellent cook, very kind, works out, eats healthy, intelligent, she’s beautiful!!!, & still finds so much joy in life. Love her ❤. And the rest of you too

Both Trish and Marc are seriously the best! In 2022, my wife and I were on our fifth Airstream trip, celebrating July 4th with our two young kids at Jellystone North Texas, when my wife went into a sudden cardiac arrest. Thankfully, through multiple miracles, she recovered, and we're back on the road whenever life allows. During her recovery, I reached out to Trish and asked her to send some encouragement to my wife (since she ADORES Trish.) Trish and Marc created the nicest and most personable video, which was incredibly encouraging to my wife and something we still cherish. The Leach's give us a lot to aim for in many areas of a life well lived.

Air Fryer solution: drill four small holes in drawer to put Air Fryer’s rubber feet into. It won’t shift when traveling and more importantly: it should fit in your drawer cabinet.

    • @stevemccollum2011

OR remove the small rubber feet all together, if they can come off

Air fryers are very nice. So are microwave, though. The drill four small holes suggestion came to me as well. Looks like you need less than 1/2" to make it fit. Good luck.

Colorado "trick". Diesel and any other bottle; shampoo, dish soup, whatever. Squeeze some air out of it before you drive. Gives room for expansion.

      @headdown1 2 месяца назад +1

I boondock in the western states every winter. I couldn't figure out why my air mattress would only last a few months before getting a slow leak. It turned out to be my elevation changes were often causing the air in the mattress to expand to the point of actually starting a slow leak. Now I mostly deflate the mattress before climbing to higher elevations, and the problem seems to be gone.

We just stayed in Stoner Colorado, near Delores. The park wasn’t what we expected but the park owner gave us a welcoming package including fresh eggs, the sites had a nice propane grill, wood love seat, fire pit, picnic table, oil lamp and I heard the washer and dryers are free. $50/night plus they had music Friday and Saturday. Our site back up to the creek.

Marc, tilt the fuel additive bottle and prop it up so that the "tube" shares the air space between the "shot" and the space above the liquid in the bottle. Hard to do with a bottle shaped like that. Looks like it might work best when half-full. So when that one is empty, transfer half the new bottle into the old one resulting in two half-full bottles at any given time. I hope that explanation comes through.... harder to explain than I thought it would be. And I'm another vote in favor of the balance of content you and Trish provide. Thanks for all you do.

I do watch other RV channels and have a better tip for a tub drain hair catcher than the metal screen (used that first). It is a tip from Chad and Tara on Changing Lanes. It is called the TubShroom and it really works better than the strainer! I love it. I have long red hair and it does a great job of keeping the hair from sliding down the pipe. Mine is white but they do have different colors. Give it a try. Blessings and safe travels! ❤

We just went to Ohio & Michigan for the first time with our RV. Ohio has the best rest stops. Theirs are called service areas and have gas/diesel, parking for cars, semi's, & RV'S. Their buildings have 3 food places, restrooms, a store, information center & truckers lounge and showers. There are 4 of them on the Ohio turnpike that have an area for RV'S only for $20/night. This gets you a spot with electric where you can open your slides. A dump station and potable water are available. Would travel anywhere if I could do it on the Ohio Turnpike!

Found a blanket and wrapped up in that while wearing shorts and a tee shirt. Took until Denver to thaw out. Best I-70 trip ever 😎😇

    Nice video.
Just got home from a great trip around Lake Huron, (20 days - 3,700 km) including visits to Picture Rock National Shoreline, Sleeping Bear Dune National Shoreline and Mackinaw Island. Even had a brief stop in Frankenmuth for some real good chicken (Zehnder's) and some Christmas items from Bronner's. Home is Huntsville ON.
Found the State Parks (4) in Michigan crowded with little privacy. Met some nice people. When we crossed back into Ontario and stopped at The Pinery Provincial Park, we both said, it nice to have a little privacy again.
But we loved Hurricane Campground in Picture Rock National Shoreline. It is the first time in 11 summers, that we have camped without electricity (never full hookups). Our little Trailer (2015 Coachman Clipper 17FQ) with only a single Flooded Lead-Acid Battery for power did great. Spent 2 nights and left with 2/3 power. Upgrading to LED lights helped. I even got my old Naphtha Gas Coleman Lantern out for the first time in years.
Each year we have an issue with our water pump. I need to prime it as part of my de-winterizing. Then it will kick on for a few seconds for a day or two, before it fully seals and keeps pressure. By the time we hit the road, it was ready.
I would love to hear how you manage your water systems. For years, I have dump all my tanks (Black, Grey & Fresh) before hitting the road between campground. This trip we arrived at a campground to discover they had a "Boil Water Alert" on their water system. There was not place to fill our Fresh Water Tank, or even get good drinking water. Fortunately we had a case of bottled water onboard and we were only staying 2 nights. Our main reason for emptying the Fresh Water Tank was that our previous Tow Vehicle was near it towing limits (3,600lbs). All that water was extra weight. Fortunately, we had lived in Sault Ste. Marie ON a number years ago, and were able to load up with water at a friends house before crossing the border. This worked out, because we knew that water was going to be an issue (No fill stations) at Picture Rock. After that we travelled with a full Fresh Water Tank, and even a full Blue Jug (20L) between campsites. A new routine for us. Dump Black and Grey and refill Fresh. Now having a 2023 GMC Canyon as our tow vehicle was are no where near it's limits (7,700lbs). Didn't notice any difference in the drive.
Look forward to your next video, especially now that we have reliable cell and internet services. I was surprised how often we could not watch RUclips from our campsites. At several (both Canada & US) we were on SOS or 1 bar.

Love the technical videos, love to see the trips back to home base, and love the travel videos. Like Mark said a good mix of all 3 is most accurate to real life. Also, chatfield state park is a hidden gem!

I wired a milk crate at the back of the truck bed, then I bought one of the square 5 gallon buckets that will fit in it at the hardware store to keep my diesel fluids handy for fill up. If they spill, they spill in the bucket.

Did you know that those DEF nozzles also fit the Windshield washer bottles as well as the coolant jugs? Very handy to keep around.

I feel really good after watching this episode. We just got back from a month long vacation were we traveled from Western Washington, over to Montama, down to Colorado then down to south eastern Texas, then made our way west to NM, AZ,NV into CAL and up back thru OR and back to WA. 6500 miles of traveling ( more with exploring) the reason I feel better is watching this video I had the SAME THING happen when I got back, I had to replace the water pump, the city water connection, the propane tank cover had somehow disappeared and a few other things. It's GOOD to see and was almost exciting to see that you also had to do some stuff upon returning at least I now I'm not alone .

Love watching your travels and videos. When changing the oil on your genny I noticed something you said. You stated you were using straight 30w but you aren’t, you put 0w30 in it. So it’s 0 weight when cold. Not sure if your engine is rated for that but it’s something you may look into

If your shower drain screen doesn't do a good job, I recommend trying a Tub Shroom. Works great and it's what we use in our Airstream Classic - and one of our bathrooms at home. I use the plastic ones. Safe journeys!

You should see what happens to our SleepNumber mattress when we go to Colorado! We have to make sure we let all the air out before we start climbing 😂
