Hi, Wes! Thank you for your classes and exercises. My name is Alfredo and I am a teacher of English at a university here in my city, Santa Clara, Cuba. Your classes have allowed me to improve my English knowledge to teach better classes at the university and, at the same time, improve my own language. Again, thank you very much.
Thank you for that well constructed video. Concerning the 11th statement, I've never noticed what the right conjugation was, thus I thought the mistake was the lack of the word "that" ! It's been great to learn something.
@@InteractiveEng please Wes Teacher send me a link to lessons showing how to correct grammar because I'm writing my life story and I need more help to know how to correct my mistakes. Thank you so much
This is a very interesting English lesson, I use this foreign language every day but after I watched this video I found that there are still problems in my daily conversation / emails / write documentation.......thanks for your support and I hope to continue to watch at the others.
I have just found your videos a few days ago. I like the way you teach. Wes I have a question: can I say 'If I took some medicine... ' on the last sentence? why?
Please Teacher Wes send me a link to lessons with grammar that would help me with grammar, because I'm writing my life story and I need more help. Thank you.
Hiya dude. Kind regards from Venezuela. I do congratulate you on your wonderful and useful RUclips channel. I dunno why, but I love the English language. Therefore, I´m trynna do my best to learn a great deal of it every single day. It ain´t been an easy learning journey. Notwithstanding, I wanna become a proficient English speaker. Likewise, I must confess I love American English. So, I do enjoy watching your videos cuz you speak such a beautiful American English. I still a newbie, I mean I´m still a rookie at learning English. In spite of that, I´m trynna do my best to reach a fluent speaking level. Well, dearest friend, you´re an amazing English teacher and I enjoy watching your wonderful videos.
Hi teacher, I have a question. The last exercise the correct answer is; if I had taken medicine this morning, I wouldn't feel sick right now, and I absolutely agree but here's my doubt, can I also say; if I'd taken some medicine this morning, I wouldn't have felt sick right now? Because for me, there's nothing I can do since I'm sick even if we're talking about present tense 🤔.
Hi Wes, i have a doubt regarding "why should i do that " and "why would i do that" when to use "why would" instead should. Often i hear native conversation i am really confused about it please, clear it if you can
shanu Sha 👨🏻🏫 Hello. Mr Teacher here in England 🏴. I have an answer to your question. These two words are very similar, so I am not surprised that you find them confusing. In the first example sentence you are asking for a reason from someone why you should do that. The second example sentence you ask what reason could there be for you to do that action. The difference is very subtle but native English speakers soon understand how to use them correctly.
Thank you so much for your videos, but I have a question, how do u know in which movie or series and in what minute is the phrase/word that you need for the pronunciation??? Thank you in advance:))
Sorry I could check your lesson out just today but I was busier. I liked this lesson even though it wasn't really made for advanced learners according to my opinion.
"Before we begin, please, go ahead and hit the like button!" "This weekend, I bought a new-brand, blue shirt." "He just doesn't like it!" "To tell you the truth, I'm really excited about the lesson!" "Have you ever been to Thailand?" "If it rains tomorrow, we'll plan a picnic for next weekend." "My bike was stollen last night!" "I tried to avoid eating too much junk food." "You're going to watch another video lesson, aren't you?" "By the time I arrived at the restaurant, everyone had already ordered." "The doctor recommends she get some sleep." "If I had taken some medicine this morning, I wouldn't feel sick right now."
I am a student. My major is english education...but i doubt i could understand english or i could be a master in english.. B coz my teacher doesnt cooperative...i asked her about the materi that i still confuse..and she answered " READ alot"..and it make me stressed
tati gtgns 👨🏻🏫 Hello. Mr Teacher here in England 🏴. I have a correction to your example sentence. You have to use the third person singular here, like this: They suggest he TAKES a bus in the morning.
In the sentence ( This weekend I bought a brand new blue shirt) I thought that the verb (bought) was incorrect lol I thought it had to be written in the present tense and use the the verb Will at the beginning. What tense is this question btw? Present or past ? I’ll appreciate your reply Wes 🙂
That's a good observation. It really depends on when the speaker is saying this, but it could definitely be interpreted that the verb should not be in the past. Next time, I'll need to give more context. 👍
What about the grammatical mistake here:"this weekent I bought a Tshirt" I think we must use present perfect bcz the weekend have not finished yet !!!!I 'm confused🤔
I'm watching the video now and about "Have you ever been to Thailand" I think that if you use the verb go, it means that the person is still in Thailand. And it would not be used with "ever". What do you think? 220417 🔔 🔔
I think you could use "been," "gone," "traveled," or "visited" rather interchangeably. However, using "been" is by far the most common when referring to travel. 👍
@@InteractiveEng Actually I think that I had in memory a lesson I had read in Gymglish : "in some contexts, the meanings can be different. I have been refers to a completed journey (or journeys) in the past. I have gone can refer to a journey from which the speaker has not yet returned. He has been to America. = He has visited America (and has already come back). He has gone to America. = He is visiting America (and is still there)." Ce n'est pas illogique...(Imho)
The tricky situation is that in some cases i look at the sentence but i can't find a mistake.only after telling it i say to myself-what a foolish person i am as i have always known about these grammar rules🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wes: there's something I really don't understand. If person A talks to person B. Why B, to whom the question is addressed doesn't said yes or not I ate or I didn't eat. Why B replies on behalf of Wes?

Or maybe, I recommend that she go to buy a red dress?? Is that ok??
tati gtgns 👨🏻🏫 Hello. Mr Teacher here in England 🏴. I have a correction to your example sentence. You have to use the third person singular here, like this: They suggest he TAKES a bus in the morning.

Shouldn't we use “last weekend” to match this time expression with the simple past used, instead of using “this weekend” that suggests a present time?
In the sentence ( This weekend I bought a brand new blue shirt) I thought that the verb (bought) was incorrect lol I thought it had to be written in the present tense and use the the verb Will at the beginning. What tense is this question btw? Present or past ? I’ll appreciate your reply Wes 🙂
