These days employer don't train one properly and its a fast pace learning when get new job. You really have to relie on good listening skills to understand the important aspects of the job. It requires detail analysis. If you have poor listening skills then its really difficult to catch up on your duties. May create a bad impression from the start. This really impressed me "hearing and listening" 2 different things. I totally agree with this quote. I think when you attempt to listen to someone carefully, visualizing plays a significant positive effect.
Thank you for posting! I watched the entire video for the whole 49 minutes and I was interested the whole time. Trust me I am not the kind of person to do that. Very useful good job.

In my whole life, I haven't even pay attention to listen or watch 48:31 minutes video but this lecture hook me with his body language, facial expressions and the way he convey his lecture
You are such a good teacher! I was about going to sleep - it was 11:45 pm. I found this lecture. It's 12:10 am now. I'm still watching. Maybe I can take a mental vacation tomorrow.
Oh my God you’re just talking about me . Everyone telling me that I’m a very smart person but easily getting distracted , and I’m a hyper person I get the have to finish What I started no matter what any kind of job . I get a steel memory most of the time and some times I can’t focus at all when I get a conversation with someone but when I’m alone I remember everything other person said after the conversation done. My mind thinks faster than my body and that’s what makes me in rush I feel that most people around me are very slow when they talk or getting the job done.
Hi! I’m an interpreter and the oral test has long sections, I was encourage to do note taking which I don’t know how, but this was an excellent way to teach someone to have a long term memory. I found the clue to become and expert on this field, listening and practicing. Thank you so very much to take the time to make this video you don’t know how much you encourage me to continue.❤
Thank you so much,Sir. I am your new student here.Your speaking is very clearly for me. I mean your voice is clearly to understand for students who are learning English.
For anyone who may still be watching this who feels like they're going insane. Yes, at 37:20 he did make a mistake. He did not say "young children" the first time, simply "children", in sentence number 4.

Hi Scott, I watched your video with my 13 year old. We did your test together and he surprised me by getting 90 percent correct. I did better than I thought. We will be implementing this to our weekly programme. I found I was particularly focused watching your video. All the best.

Outstanding presentation. What an incredible teacher. I wish I could have watched this 20 years ago...
In my whole life, I haven't even pay attention to listen or watch 48:31 minutes video but this lecture hook me with his body language, facial expressions and the way he convey his lecture
Really I too. This is my 5th time watching this video to learn how to listen
Me too hahahah
Wish I'd been able to watch this before I started high school, and *definitely* before I started university. Very helpful!
"Take me with you" that was very hilarious by him. I liked the humour he applies to the classes he gives.

For anyone who may still be watching this who feels like they're going insane. Yes, at 37:20 he did make a mistake. He did not say "young children" the first time, simply "children", in sentence number 4.

The teacher is so amazing! The class is so interesting, I can’t help giggling (pseudo listening, mental vacation…) and I really enjoy the whole video.

Hi Scott, I watched your video with my 13 year old. We did your test together and he surprised me by getting 90 percent correct. I did better than I thought. We will be implementing this to our weekly programme. I found I was particularly focused watching your video. All the best.
Nice
I want him to be my teacher. He is the nicest teacher ever saw on youtube.
Pd: Does someone else here for TOEFL listening practice?
I heard many other native english speakers but you are the best teacher.
He's good teacher and I've been searching for videos that are advanced level and finally I found this...... I Love it
What he says makes perfect sense. Thanks for sharing.
I was a teacher for a while and I learned a few things from this teacher. Excellent information.
I beg to differ.
I can't express how thankful I am to be able to learn a useful lecture like this for totally free. I have this huge problem of losing focus during lectures and this video has helped me a lot.
You are amazing... really amazing. If every teacher is like you than we are going to have every student as genius.
(25:00) The 3 most common problems: Pseudo listening, selective listening, and critical listening.
Solution: 1. Awareness, 2. Be physically and mentally prepared to listen, 3. set a goal (100%), 4. set front and center.....
He explains everything not only by his words but also by his manners that makes him a best teacher . Hope , His topic is clearly understood by everyone only for his way of explains .
He is great teacher.special when he said.most of his college expend time talking their polical opinion at their classes. We need more teacher like him.do we need teacher political opinion in classes? No. If a teacher is talking his political opinion he is doctrine. No teaching.so go Rusha.
do u know his name???
